For Birth Control "This is by far the WORST birth control I’ve ever been on. My doctor switched me to this pill because it has lower hormones. What a mistake! I’ve been on it for a month and have had sharp, zappy headaches, major stomach cramps, acne on my face, chest, and back! (I have never had acne before!); major bloating, increased appetite, and weight gain. I finished the pack of pills today and will be switching back to Junel as it gave me no side effects. Don’t take Larissia!!!!!"

For Birth Control "This is the absolutely worst birth control you can take. Ladies, do not take this. Please! I not only had the absolute worst acne of my life, my emotions were all over the place. I literally cried every day for 6 months straight. Gained 10 lb, which all went away when I stopped. Warning, ladies, choose something else."

For Birth Control "No. Just no. On Larissia birth control, I gained weight and am so self-conscious again after over a year of working out every day and getting my body to where I wanted it. Now I am constantly hungry, I have acne, mood swings. It is horrible. Switching ASAP."

For Birth Control "I started taking Larissa about 3 months ago, and it has caused major breakouts on my face and my back. I was suffering from mild adult acne prior to taking Larissa, and when I started taking this pill, I noticed huge welts on my back, and my face was breaking out in cystic acne. I have also gained about 10 pounds in 3 months, which isn't necessarily a bad thing for me because I needed to gain a little bit, but just putting it out there as a warning. Mood swings were not too bad, but I found myself thinking very negatively, and my mood would fluctuate. This pill is not for me. My doctor has prescribed me Nikki, and I will start taking it on Monday."

For Birth Control "This is the only birth control I have been on. I started in Jan 2021, so I've been on it for 9 months. I wanted to start bc to protect from pregnancy, and my period was very heavy, and my cramps were terrible. My doc recommended Larissia. It took about 3-4 months for my period to sync up with the active/placebo pills. My period is now so light with minimal cramps. It starts on the same day every month. I have never had a scare being on these pills. The reviews scared me; I almost didn't go through with them! Everyone has a different body; please be considerate of that! I have not gained any weight, and my acne is minimal. The only complaint I have, which this is only MY experience, is the terrible mood swings. The thing is, I have always had mood swings, and I've always been dramatic and very, VERY sensitive, so it isn't much of a difference. Don't let the reviews scare you! This bc has been incredible to me; I highly recommend it! :))))"

For Birth Control "In the beginning of taking this birth control, everything was fine. My period became more regular and predictable and less painful. But recently, I have been more manic and depressed than I ever have been in my entire life. I have never felt this low in my entire life. Granted, I still don’t cramp much, no weight gain, nor do I get much acne, but I would rather feel like myself and deal with those side effects. My anxiety has skyrocketed to the point where I no longer have been able to sleep well or go out with friends anymore. It’s affecting all parts of my life, including my appetite. Do understand birth control works differently for everyone, but I’m extremely glad I’m not the only one feeling this way while on Larissia."

For Birth Control "I personally did not like Larissia. I was on the same birth control for years (Falmina), and it was amazing. I switched to Larissia because of switching pharmacies. My experience was weight gain, acne, and mood swings. Larissia and Falmina are similar, but obviously something was way different in Larissia that made me react that way. I have switched back to my old birth control."

For Birth Control "Started this because I struggle with cramps and mood swings during my periods, but this pill was 10 times worse. Definitely be careful if you already have mental health struggles— I have bipolar disorder, and this pill made me more depressed than I'd been in years, and I was almost hospitalized multiple times. I already get migraines, but they got much more severe, and the nausea was constant. I couldn’t eat anything without feeling awful. Other fun side effects have included digestion issues and constant bloating, getting acne for the first time in my life, gaining weight consistently, breasts growing in size, breast tenderness, and periods that became even more painful and irregular than when I started. Not to mention, I feel awful self-esteem-wise and have grown to hate my appearance. I’m glad this works for some people, but I will be getting off of it as soon as possible!!"

For Birth Control "This is the first birth control I've ever been on, so I can't compare it to other contraceptives, but I can share my experience with anyone willing to read. Larissa overall hasn't got rid of me yet, so that's a plus. I did notice my mood started to shift irregularly. I do have ADHD, so this might just be a me thing, but I go from happy to mental breakdown on the floor so quick, and then I'm totally fine. This only really started after I began taking this medicine. My acne did decrease, but I also noticed a significant change in weight. I'm now about 15 pounds heavier than I was before I started Larissa. I honestly might switch medications, but then again side effects are different for everyone."

For Birth Control "The doctor switched me from Orsythia (been on for about 2 years) to Larissia. Had been on Larissia for about 3 months, and let me tell you, it is the worst birth control I had ever been on! Cons: 1. I’m always moody! 2. Acne breakout (I hardly have any acne to begin with). 3. Always hungry all the time!!! Pros: 1. Period seems light and short. 2. No cramps or any indigestion problems. As of right now, I’m done taking birth control and giving my body a good 3 months break."

For Birth Control "Wow, I wish I had found this site sooner! Larissa has been the absolute worst birth control pill! I have breakthrough bleeding every 2 weeks, and I’m not trying to skip my periods. I thought that my body would regulate after a while, but it’s been almost a year! Besides breakthrough bleeding, I suffered from severe cystic acne immediately after starting this. My dermatologist thought I was crazy because birth control should decrease acne, so she put me on a ton of creams. I never had acne to start and now have horrible scars. I haven’t gotten pregnant, but these side effects stink."

For Birth Control "I switched from Ortho-Tri-Cyclen to Larissia because my health insurance doesn't cover Ortho-Tri-Cyclen. I use birth control pills by only taking the active 21 pills, then starting a new pack for birth control and so have no period. I was concerned, but besides my skin having a tiny bit more acne than with Ortho-Tri-Cyclen, they do seem about the same."

For Birth Control "Oh my goodness, just no. I do not recommend the Larissia pill to ANYONE. I've been on Orsythia for over 4 years with no issues (it's cleared my acne and minimized period symptoms). I've had to take Larissia occasionally when my pharmacy doesn't have Orsythia available, and let's just say I get the WORST acne breakouts within days of taking the first pill, my irritability and annoyance levels are constantly off the charts every time I've had to take it. DO NOT TAKE THIS."

For Birth Control "The pharmacy ran out of my normal BC (Falmina) and gave me this, saying it was the same thing. Whew, they were horribly wrong. I had the worst acne of my life on my face and back (I’ve never had back acne, and my face cleared up while on Falmina), and I would get horrible cramps on Larissia. I had to endure this for 6 months until they finally received my Falmina again."

For Birth Control "Larissia gave me cystic acne. My face is terrible now. I don't even want to look in the mirror. The pharmacy also switched me from a different brand to this one. I hate it. I took it for a month, I asked my doctor to switch back to my old one. Hopefully, it will fix it back. Disgusted with this brand."
