For Birth Control "I've been using this birth control pill for 2 months now. I got put on them to help with painful, heavy periods and other PMS symptoms. Well, I wanted to wait a while so I could see how my body would react to this birth control, and it hasn't been very good. I'm more depressed than ever, my libido is extremely low, and I barely climax. I cry all the time, and it's causing relationship issues. My boyfriend begs me to just throw my last pack away. It's just not compatible with me. Good luck to other users. I hope you ladies have better luck"

For Birth Control "Didn’t get pregnant, so at least it was effective. However, I gained 15 pounds (while dieting and going to the gym 5 times a week), felt either depressed or irrationally angry 24/7, and got the worst painful cystic acne of my entire life. This pill is the worst, I only lasted a month on it. I can’t wait to switch back to Ortho Tri-Cyclen. Many people recommended trying this one, but it was a huge mistake for me."

For Birth Control "This is the first brand of contraceptive pill Planned Parenthood recommended to me after being on nothing for 6 years. I didn’t feel nauseous, and I don’t eat much anyway, so it didn’t affect my appetite. However, this pill has made me cry every day intensely. I am depressed and could not feel any more sad without being sad. I do not recommend unless you aren’t emotional from the start."

For Birth Control "I took Aubra for around a year, and a month after I had been on the pill, I started to notice really bad mood swings, and I became very depressed to the point where I was crying almost every day. I was unrecognizable. Although I didn’t gain any weight or get any acne, I still experienced very bad headaches that I had never had before. It was really bad, I wouldn’t recommend."

For Birth Control "I have been on Aubra for 1 year. This is my 2nd form of BC. The 1st was Implanon, I had it for 2 months and couldn't deal with the spotting and crazy periods. I haven't noticed any HUGE side effects on Aubra, but there are some. I gained 10 lbs. My breasts feel sore the week before and the week of my period. I get minor mood swings and some depression, but nothing extreme. I break out a few days before my period, but I already had that problem prior to taking the pill. Sex drive remained as high as always. Headaches from time to time that I used to not get. No more severe cramps, and my period is light flow and it only lasts 3 to 4 days, it used to be heavy lasting 6 days. I am not pregnant so far, so it's worked. I have read it causes hyperpigmentation, which I have above my brow."

For Birth Control "I've been taking this pill for about 10 months, and like the others, the only good thing about this pill is the fact that I'm not pregnant. This is my first time taking birth control, so at first, I wasn't able to tell the side effects. Until later on, it got so much worse. I had terrible mood swings to the point people were referring me to other brands. My period was extremely light, as if I barely even had it at all, which made me worried sometimes. I lost weight, which is the opposite of what I want, and my skin got so bad. The worst was really just the depression I experienced during this time and my 'craziness.' I wouldn't recommend anyone to be on this, and I'll definitely ask my doctors for a different brand."

For Birth Control "Terrible birth control for me. The first three months were great. No acne, no mood swings. Lost 7 lbs. Now on my 5th month. But here now I’m so depressed, anxiety-ridden, have acne all over my face and behind my ears! My hair has thinned out! Do not recommend this! Not sure why the first three months were great and then went terrible."

For Birth Control "After taking Aubra for a year and a half, I’ve had to stop taking it. It worked well for me at first, no bad side effects, but about 6 months in, I noticed that I was becoming depressed more and more often. I would be horribly irritable for almost a week before my period, my sex drive died, and I would get dry even while enjoying sex. I’d also get a pretty consistent acne breakout once a month. After being off of it for 3 weeks, I already felt much better mentally. Never got pregnant, though, no weight issues, my cramps were not nearly as terrible as before I took it, and that’s it. It got the job done, so it’s worth a try since all brands seem to be different for the individuals."

For Birth Control "This was the first form of BC I have used, and it has been an awful experience for me. It has killed my sex drive (I’m 18), caused dryness, made my boobs smaller, and worst of all, worsened my depression, which has negatively affected my relationship, as if the others weren’t enough. The only reason I gave it a 1 rating is because I haven’t gotten pregnant. Not sure if I should just drop it or wait till I’m finished with this pack, but I am definitely switching soon."

For Birth Control "The only good thing about this medication is that I'm not pregnant. I've been taking Aubra for about 3 months now, and the issues I was told would go away after the first pack are still truckin'. My period is nothing more than a day or two of spotting, which is pretty cool, but the constant moodiness and terrible nausea are not worth it. My relationship and health are suffering from this. I'm always feeling sick to my stomach, so I've only been eating healthier, simpler foods, but they still make me feel awful. I've been gaining weight, breaking out, and freaking out at my boyfriend, and having random bouts of depression that are usually controlled by other medication I take. Also, the IBS-like symptoms I have constantly throughout the month!!"

For Birth Control "Aubra was the worst birth control pill I've been on. Broke out more than ever, was depressed the whole time I was on it. Not until I switched to another birth control pill that I realized it was Aubra that was causing it."

For Birth Control "I would not recommend this whatsoever. I’ve been taking this for about 2 months, and I’ve never experienced this type of depression or loss of motivation. Ever since starting Aubra, I’ve woken up 5/7 days of the week with a headache and absolutely no ambition to get out of bed. Acne has never been this bad either. Do not take. I can’t wait to get off this."

For Birth Control "First birth control pill. Got a little acne before I was on it and get a little still. Plan on changing to a different BC though because it makes me extremely emotional and depressed. I messed up and forgot to take it for three days, and my period was affected, but once I got back on track and stayed on track, my periods were regular. Seemed to lose weight, but I still don't know if that's because of the birth control."

For Birth Control "Pros - didn't get pregnant, sex drive was super high, didn't break out, period was so much lighter (which is why I wanted to take birth control), no spotting. Cons - (all after 4 months of using Aubra) felt depressed (I've never experienced anything this bad, never wanted to get out of bed, got upset over everything and cried so much, which isn't like me), loss of appetite (lost over 10 lbs because I was never hungry and when I did eat, I was full after a bite), had mood swings (would get mad over the smallest things). It's been months since I've stopped taking it, and I still haven't gotten my period and I still feel depressed."

For Birth Control "I started Aubra back in July so I would be less anxious about pregnancy. The first month or two I was on it, I had headaches and nausea, as well as random bleeding. As soon as that ceased, I immediately began packing on pounds and became very depressed and had no desire for intimacy with my boyfriend. This all has negatively affected my relationship. It's so bad that my boyfriend offered to go back to condoms, which neither of us loves. Unfortunately, Aubra is not good for my body and mental health, for some people it is likely great, but not for me. Only good parts were zero cramps, lighter periods, zero acne, and no babies."

For Birth Control "I hate this birth control. First month of taking it, and my face completely broke out like I've never broken out before. My depression and anxiety were off the charts, also, I had a low sex drive. I was not happy with this. Don't take this BC, you'll regret it!"

For Birth Control "I hate this pill. Makes me so depressed. I find myself always mad at my boyfriend for the smallest things. My period this month started on Dec 1st and it just ended on Dec 12, which was yesterday. My periods were so much heavier than usual. I do not recommend this pill."

For Birth Control "I've been on Aubra for 6 months and have finally decided to go off birth control. The only pro on this birth control is not getting pregnant. Cons: no sex drive, horrible acne before my period, depression, weight gain. I was really hoping this birth control would work because I've had so many problems with other ones. But I can't take the side effects anymore."

I’m just lying on the bed all day, and I can’t even stand up because I have no power!!! I’m going to see my doctor tomorrow because my life has become terrible! My mood is just so depressed!!! I’m hungry, but I can’t eat anything!!!!! Terrible!!!"

For Birth Control "I didn't care for all Aubra. I had headaches very often, even more so when it got close to my period. I never had headaches prior to Aubra. I had really bad anxiety... my heart would start pounding at random times for no reason... I would get extremely depressed and/or really angry when it got close to my period... my eyes got super dry and my contacts were painful to wear... And I recently got off of it, for about 2 months now, and I have a lot of side effects from quitting it as well. Wished I would have never used it to begin with."
