For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea "I have struggled with IBS-D for 16 years. I've been on every medication available, including antidepressants, Bentyl, loperamide, Lotronex, cholestyramine, and many others. The Viberzi seems to control the diarrhea, but I am experiencing debilitating gas, especially in the mornings, but it lasts throughout the day. It's not just inconvenient, it's painful and uncontrollable. I want this medicine to be the one! I just don't know how to combat the gas. I am also having abdominal pain but will stay the course to see if these subside."

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea "I first got IBS-D when I was a freshman in high school. Now, eight years later, I found Viberzi. I'm on my third month with it, and it has worked wonders! I experienced abdominal pain when I first started, but I read the instructions and realized I needed to take it with food. It's important to take it with a meal rather than a snack, since that works better for me. I take the 100 mg tablets twice a day. I still get anxious about going out, but after living with this for eight years, living a more normal life takes getting used to. I've only gotten diarrhea when I had a virus or that time of the month hit, but otherwise, I haven't had any more incidents. I can even eat chili without getting sick!"

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea "Started Viberzi 75 mg 2x daily for IBS-D since I don't have a gallbladder. Was great for the first 4 days, and then diarrhea kicked in 1x daily. Early this morning, had severe abdominal pain with sweating and weakness. Pain was so bad I thought I was having a heart attack and almost called 911. Made myself vomit and felt better after that. MD said if it happens again, I will have to come off the Viberzi."

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea "I had microscopic colitis. Severe abdominal pain a couple of hours after taking the med. Dried out mucosa of mouth so much I could hardly talk. Also dried out eyes so much I took a day of using artificial tear drops every two hours to make my eyes comfortable."

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea "I am quitting after the 3rd dose of Viberzi because of abdominal pain. It is not worth it, changing diarrhea for pain. Interesting, the comments about this could not be IBS but bile malabsorption, I will research further."

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea "After being on Viberzi for less than a week, I became suddenly stricken with severe abdominal pain and vomiting. My husband called an ambulance, and I don't even remember getting to the hospital. I came to 2 days later and was told I went into a coma in the ICU and my organs were shutting down. My doctor told me I came within minutes of dying, then just turned around and came back to the land of the living. I have absolutely no memory of any of it."

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea "Today is day 20 of me taking 75 mg twice a day. It worked really well up until today. I'm not sure if I have a stomach bug or if my symptoms are back. I fortunately did not experience any of the awful symptoms other people have had. No abdominal pain or cramping. Only one normal BM a day now, and there were only two days I didn't go and was a little constipated, but resolved the next day. My doctor only prescribed this for 21 days. This is the first IBS medicine I have used. I hope I am just having an off day and this medicine is still working!"

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea "I have adhesions from a gallbladder surgery and diarrhea and lower abdominal cramping as a result. My doctor prescribed Viberzi to help control these two symptoms. Within one hour after taking my first 75 mg dose, I had developed pancreatitis and was hospitalized for two days. Do not take this medication - especially if you do not have a gallbladder! If you experience abdominal pain while on this medication, go to the hospital! Shame on you, Viberzi. Your product is trash."

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea "Horrible abdominal pain. I was only able to take 3 doses before I had to discontinue. The abdominal pain was similar to my 5-day appendicitis pain that I had prior to having my appendix removed."
