For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Constipation "I have been taking this med for about a month for IBS-C. This is after I've been on basically everything else on the market, all of which eventually failed me for one reason or another. Anyhow, this med causes me diarrhea. A lot, and often. It was at its worst the first two weeks. Not ideal, but better than never going at all. Aside from that, no side effects whatsoever. I'll probably have to supplement with some sort of soluble fiber to calm the runs a bit, but overall, I think Ibsrela is worth a try. Just be sure to drink plenty of water, and possibly some Gatorade or something to help with electrolytes."

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Constipation "I started by taking Trulance, and it helped, but after my insurance would not cover it, my doctor gave me a sample of Ibsrela to try, and it works even better than Trulance. I’ve even lost 12 lbs since taking it daily. I will say that the side effect of diarrhea has still been the same but is manageable as long as I take it as prescribed! If you need help with co-pay, look into Ardelyx Assist. They have helped me cover my medication fully."

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Constipation "I have hit the year mark with no side effects. It has helped me tremendously. Would highly recommend staying with it for at least a couple of months to see the best results. I have tried most medications for IBS-constipation and my results have been life-changing since starting this."

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Constipation "I have had a life-changing experience with Ibsrela. Unlike any of the other drugs for slow transit constipation and IBS-C that I've tried, without efficacy, I must add, Ibsrela continues to be effective; daily, weekly, monthly, etc... All the others I've had experience with - Zelnorm, Trulance, Amitiza, and Linzess - stopped working after taking them only for a short amount of time. I highly recommend Ibsrela. I did not have to go through insurance at all since I was among the first patients among my GI specialist's patients in a trial at Cleveland Clinic for Ardelyx, which is the pharmaceutical company that makes Ibsrela."

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Constipation "Any other medicine for constipation triggers my colitis. IBSRELA is the only one that makes me go without pain, cold sweat, and cramps. Unfortunately, IBSRELA is not on my insurance list. I am glad my doctor gave me some samples to try. I highly recommend."

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Constipation "Ibsrela was offered to me by my gastroenterologist to help control my IBS-C symptoms. I have been taking the recommended dose as directed for about 7-8 months. It has provided relief from constipation with daily monitoring of how my gut feels. If I take in too much fiber during the day, the result is an early watery bowel movement the next morning. Ibsrela has significantly reduced the pain that had been unmanageable prior to starting this regimen."

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Constipation "I have been taking this for more than a week. The first two days, my stomach was assimilating the medication and was mildly constipated, but the next days, I started going every day. I don’t get cramps or diarrhea, just a normal reaction to use the restroom, and I feel fine for the first time in many years dealing with IBS-C. This medication has given me the chance to go out with no worries of having to go to the restroom immediately. I feel like it’s working. I will continue to monitor my progress. If you have trouble with insurance, get it through Ardelix Assist, they made Tricare cover it fully. I got $0 for copay, thankfully."

"I've been on all meds of this type over the last 25 years, they have all failed me until my gastro doc tried me on Ibsrela. It takes a few weeks to get used to it, and some days I only need to take 1 pill instead of 2. All in all, I have a bowel movement pretty much every day. My doctor also set me up with Ardelyx Assist, as this med is very expensive."
