For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "I have been on this pill for 3 months going into 4 and have had my ups and downs with it. The 1st month, I experienced intense mood swings, I was crying and angry all the time and just wanted to be alone. The 2nd month, I was wondering why my acne wasn't going away, but my moods had improved. Although I was experiencing breakthrough bleeding for 15 days, I continued to take the pill. My period also brought cramps like no other. The 3rd month, I have been feeling sort of depressed, but I think that's due to life, not the pill. My breakthrough bleeding still occurred (some days light, some days none), and my skin has improved. I lost weight on Beyaz. I am looking forward to what month 4 brings and hoping all of the negative symptoms are gone."

For Acne "I'm 33 and started having acne and needed to go back on birth control. The great news is my skin cleared up completely within 3 months on Beyaz. The bad news is I've been taking the pill for a little over 6 months, and I'm still having my period twice a month (each lasting between 6-11 days). Definitely not ideal, but they're usually pretty light. I haven't noticed any weight gain (but I do work out intensively 5-6 days a week). Lately, I've been noticing a lot more mood swings, low self-esteem/poor body image, and I have a tremendous amount of guilt about everyday things and a bit of depression. I increased my anti-depressant, and that has seemed to help with the depression aspect, but not the other symptoms."

For Birth Control "I had been on Yaz for close to a year and was using the Bayer card program to get my refills for $25. With the intro of Beyaz into the market, Bayer no longer offers the discounted price for Yaz, so my OBGYN switched me over so I could continue to use my savings card. Since Beyaz is the EXACT same as Yaz, just with folate, I expected to feel no different. SO WRONG! I am SO moody on Beyaz, fine one day and insane the next, crying for no reason, terrible all-day headaches, and breaking out. I was NEVER like that on Yaz! Luckily, my pharmacy has kept both prescriptions active so I can switch back to Yaz and just buy the generic. I miss paying $25, but I will pay $59 to be sane."

For Birth Control "I just finished month 2 of Beyaz and am hoping things get better after month 3. I have had just about every side effect that has been listed except for the mood swings. I have gained quite a bit of weight. In the first few weeks of taking Beyaz, I was very nauseous and vomited a few times. I have daily headaches. I have zero sex drive, and the thought of sex makes me ill when I am usually very sexually active. Thank goodness I have an understanding partner. I am unbelievably tired no matter how much sleep I get. I normally have acne on a regular basis, but it hasn't gotten worse, but I am patiently waiting for it to get better. I will continue to take Beyaz as recommended by my doctor for at least another 2 months and hope things get better."

"I was on Yaz for 4 years, I really liked it. I didn't gain weight, but I did notice my period wouldn't start until right before I would be starting a new pack. I switched to the generic to save money, and right away I noticed my period symptoms became much more severe than before. I then switched to Beyaz. I didn't notice it at first, but my sex drive was diminishing. I first blamed it on stress, but after 6 months, I realized that something was really wrong. I went from having a very healthy sex drive to not having one at all, I was also a lot more moody than before. I really don't recommend anyone taking this medication. What's the point of being on birth control if you're not going to WANT to have sex."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for about 2 weeks now, and let me explain I've never been on birth control before. I experienced just about no side effects so far, no unusual weight gain, headaches, or cravings. No bad mood swings, and it's already helping my acne (the reason I went on it). The downfall: I've been bleeding for the whole 2 weeks I've been on it. I started it the day of my period as instructed, usually, I bleed for 4-5 days, but I have had my period now for 2 weeks straight. I think it's getting light and about to go away, and then I wake up the next morning, and it's back again! If this side effect continues into the next pack, I may have to give up Beyaz. I am on the generic, by the way."

For Birth Control "I was on Yaz a few years ago until I couldn't afford it anymore. I absolutely loved it. My face was clear, my period was light, and it worked magic on my absolutely unbearable cramps. I've been on Beyaz for a month now, and I am not really seeing the same things I saw with Yaz just yet. I was really nauseous for the first two weeks, my face is still breaking out (not because of the pill), cramps aren't bad but have not disappeared, and my sex drive has decreased. I'm hoping this is just for the first month and things get better down the line."

For Birth Control "It took almost 8 months, but it finally started to work. My periods were so heavy I would go through a Tampax Ultra in less than an hour and have to stay home during my periods. I would have to get up several times during the night. I would bleed some months for 30 days even on the Beyaz. My last two months, I have bled less than three days and can use a lite Tampax. It took a while, but I am so happy I stuck with it. No weight gain either!!!!"

For Acne "I was prescribed Beyaz a year ago to control my acne and regulate my periods. I was experiencing acne like never before and was having 2 periods one month, then none the next. Beyaz did work. It cleared up my acne 100%. However, it made my periods very light, inconsistent, and only 3-4 days long. Call me crazy, but I miss having 7-day, consistent periods. With Beyaz, my periods are so light, tampons are painful to use, and pads are too much protection. But I have to wear something; I have unexpected bursts/flows during those 3-4 days. My periods also don't start until the last day of the pack. I've had to skip the last pill just so that my period would start. Maybe Beyaz is too strong for my cycle, but it did wonders for my acne."

For Acne "I went on Beyaz to get rid of my acne, and in the first couple of weeks, I saw immediate results, which was wonderful! I haven't noticed any weight gain, but I was nauseous every day the first weeks. My sex drive is still pretty normal for me. I would say the only bad side effects that I have are that it's made me so emotional! Depressed and anything along those lines, and the nausea, but at least my face is clear."

For Birth Control "So far, I have been on Beyaz for 4 months and have not had any issues. Acne-wise: I have minimal acne, but I do get hormonal cystic acne, which is painful and bothersome. Since being on Beyaz for the past 4 months, I have not had any huge cystic breakouts before or after my period! So far, so good! Weight gain: Within the first month of taking Beyaz, I didn't have much of an appetite (no changes in diet) and lost maybe about 5-6 lbs in a month, but my body must have gotten used to the pill because I gained that all back within the next month (no changes in diet). Thankful I have not had any of the major side effects such as severe cramping or bloating, swelling of ankles, hair loss (my hair is already thin, so I can't really say if that had an effect or not). So far, so good."

For Acne "After one month, I began noticing a difference. I was still getting breakouts, but they were healing faster and were not painful anymore. By two months, I still was getting pimples, but they were tiny and vanishing overnight. Then, after that, it stopped altogether. I don't currently have a single pimple on my face, and my post-acne marks have had the chance to fade over the last three weeks. I'm finishing up my third month on the pill this week. Side Effects: At first, I felt a bit drowsy, had spotting the first two months, and breast tenderness. But these symptoms seem to be fading just like my acne. I would strongly recommend this to anyone who thinks they may have hormonal acne. I only wish I had tried it sooner!"

For Acne "Beyaz was the second birth control I used. In terms of acne, it completely cleared my back, chest, and face acne. However, I have gained about 15 pounds and am very active and cannot lose weight. I also am irritable like no other. I have terrible mood swings. I loved that it cleared my acne, but the mood swings and weight gain have to go, so I am switching to Apri, but if that doesn't work, I would go back."

For Acne "All I am going to say is my skin is flawless! After the first 2-3 months, I used to have outbreaks and blemishes! People always compliment me on how flawless my skin is and that I should do CoverGirl commercials. Beyaz!"

For Birth Control "I started Beyaz because it was recommended by a new PA I'm seeing. She said it would help with the PMS symptoms I described. I've nearly completed the first pack and I am feeling completely out of control, depressed, even suicidal, irritable, and so angry. I did not feel this way before, even at my worst PMS times. I started my period about a week before I should have this month. I don't know if I should continue using this pill or not. It just dawned on me that it could be the Beyaz, and after reading the pamphlet and now these postings, I think the Beyaz may be why I've been having these overwhelming symptoms."

For Birth Control "I have taken this pill for two years now. I was originally put on it because of a polyp. The polyp decreased dramatically. I have had no side effects, minus minor spotting. My mood has increased dramatically right before and during my period. I used to have really bad cramps when I would get my period; however, that is practically non-existent now."

"I had never taken birth control until last year. I started on Loestrin, and it was okay until the 3rd month when I started cramping almost every day. I started Beyaz after that and am into my third month of it. My periods have been longer and a lot more heavy. I get nauseated all the time now, no matter the time of day, and I'm not pregnant. I get hungry more frequently and have gained some weight. I also have a lot of headaches. I'm going to try something new again. Beyaz just isn't for me."

For Birth Control "I have been on Beyaz for a year and a half, and I've loved it! I had moderate acne before taking Beyaz, and now I only break out like once a month (it's usually only 2-3 pimples). My period went from a medium/heavy 7 days to light 3-4 days. I hardly have cramps or bloating. I love it. I sometimes get a little emotional, but I contribute that to being 18 years old. The only real negative side effect that I could say that I have about Beyaz is that it's somewhat costly, my insurance doesn't cover it. But since I've loved all that it's done for me, I choose to pay it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a new birth control."

For Birth Control "It took 2-3 months for everything to regulate, but now that I've been on it for almost a year, I love it. My cramps aren't as bad, bleeding is much lighter than it used to be, hormones are 1,000 times more steady, and best of all: only 4 periods per year! The only drawback is that I get random menstrual-like cramps, but they're very light, don't even need to take ibuprofen; it's more of a small annoyance than anything. I haven't gained weight, but my face has broken out some over the past 1-2 months; it didn't for the longest time, so I'm not sure whether there's a correlation to the Beyaz or not. I take it at night because if I take any kind of birth control in the morning, I feel extremely dizzy/nauseous all day. Overall, an awesome choice!"

For Acne "Beyaz saved my skin. Literally. I always had nice skin as a teenager with the occasional, mild breakout. But about 10 months after I turned 21, I broke out in hormonal acne. It legitimately covered my entire face except the sides of my cheeks. I seriously tried everything before my mom finally suggested birth control. I was skeptical because I feared I would gain weight, but desperate for clean skin again, I decided to try it. My doctor told me it would probably make my skin worse before it made it better, which it did, but after 3 months, I saw good results. Now, at a little over 5 months, my skin is almost as clear as it was before. It takes a little bit of time, but it's so worth it. It also didn't affect my weight. So grateful for Beyaz!"

For Acne "I was on Yaz for years. Even if I skipped a week or two on it, my face would start breaking out, and literally within three days of taking Yaz, my face would be crystal clear again. I completely went off the pill for a year due to prices, but now I just went back on to Beyaz since it is cheaper and supposed to be the same thing. I've been waiting it out for three months, hoping I would improve, but my acne is actually getting way worse! I thought Yaz and Beyaz had the same ingredients... did I become immune to the effects?"

For Birth Control "I was taking Yaz, and it worked amazingly for me, but about 2 months ago, I was put on Beyaz and have had a yeast infection both months. I have not had sex in over 6 months, this is the only possible explanation for my yeast infections."

For Acne "From 18 years old until 24 (my current age), I used to have oily skin and all-over breakouts on my face and upper back. I was on Proactiv forever and finally was fed up with the ridiculous cost and little results. I asked my doc to put me on a BC that would address my acne issue, and she chose Beyaz. I have never had terrible deep cystic acne, but rather constant red bumps/pimples and under-the-skin bumps. The first 3 months of taking Beyaz, I noticed less above-the-skin acne but more deep painful bumps. However, after the 3 month mark, my skin drastically improved. It's smooth and clear. I get an occasional breakout here and there but, holy smokes, I have no negative outcomes-no weight gain and no crazy hormonal outbursts. Try this!!!!!"

For Birth Control "I went from Yaz to Beyaz. Worst decision ever. Yaz was amazing, but I was receiving it for free. They couldn't offer it for free anymore, so they put me on Beyaz. My period is longer, my cramps are bad, and I am emotional - which is crazy because I was never emotional when I was on Yaz or no birth control! The worst part is the acne. GIANT pimples everywhere. I am 27 and feel like I am 13! Ladies, keep in mind everyone will have their own experience, as it's how it reacts with your specific body."

For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "One of the better experiences with birth control I've had. Granted, I still experienced side effects like some mood swings in the beginning (nothing too severe) and nausea, possibly some related constipation. However, it kept my PMDD symptoms confined to shorter periods of time (a day or two every month or so, as opposed to 3-5 days every month). Breakthrough bleeding was a problem on it after a while, but that could be related to skipping placebos. Compared to other birth control pills I've been on which have sent me into manic/depressive cycles, this has been the best for my body. For comparison, I don't do well with any birth control pills containing northindrone."
