For Birth Control "I went on Beyaz 3 months ago and just finished the third pack. I was noticing that I was always tired, nauseous, bloated, stomach pains, and eating all the time. I too thought I was in the early stages of pregnancy because of these symptoms. I started taking the pill because of horrible period cramps that would make me so sick and incapable of doing anything, it helped. Then I started getting really depressed out of nowhere, feeling sad for no reason, trapped in my own body, and then that led to anxiety attacks and anxiety about when is the next time I will have this terrible feeling again. Because of that and not being able to sleep, I am done with this pill! Thanks to everyone for sharing, I feel comforted to know I wasn't going crazy."

For Birth Control "I have a history of depression/anxiety, which I'm currently treating with medication. I also have had symptoms of PMDD in the past. Beyaz is the ONLY birth control I have tried that completely takes away the PMDD, clears my face, hasn't made me gain weight, etc. I love it. When a generic for Beyaz came out (Rajani), I tried it for 3 months, and each month, two days before starting my period, I had terrible PMDD episodes with extreme depression/anxiety/cramping/migraines. I'm going back to Beyaz."

For Birth Control "This is my first time on BC, and after researching many different brands, I’m glad I was put on this one. Reading the reviews, I was a little hesitant but decided to give it a try and find out how my own experience would go. The first month was rough. Actually, the first week I noticed an extreme difference in my irritability/anxiety. I would get frustrated and annoyed at the drop of a dime. I would cry for absolutely no reason at all. I also experienced nausea and headaches on a daily basis, but they eventually went away on their own, my body took some time to adjust, but I can say that this form of birth control works well for me. I take it at the same time every day and have had lighter, shorter periods with almost no cramping. Prior to BC, I had heavier periods and days where I couldn’t even get out of bed due to horrible cramps. My advice: don’t focus too much on the reviews. 9/10 times, people will write a NEGATIVE experience as opposed to a positive one."

For Birth Control "I've been off and on Beyaz for about a year. I was excited to have a regular period and also the birth control factor. I stopped taking it the first time around (after 7 months) because I felt like I was going crazy. I was emotional all the time, and it affected my relationships and my eating habits. I restarted it a couple of months ago, and I have to stop taking it again. I get really bad headaches, I have brain fog, and I feel like I'm pregnant because I crave different foods all the time. I don't want to work out, I don't have any energy, and my emotions are all over the place - terrible anxiety. I'm not going to say 'don't take this' because every woman is different, and some won't experience any of these symptoms. But if you are experiencing these symptoms, I suggest talking to your doctor or simply acknowledging how you feel on it. I'm stopping today, and I'll never go back."

For Birth Control "I was put on this pill for two months. In the first 3 days, I already knew I needed something else. I am normally quite laid-back and cheery but have had small issues with anxiety. On Beyaz, my anxiety was constant, and I would get into periods of complete emotional detachment or where anything someone said would hurt me. I would have anxiety attacks so bad that I would scratch at my skin, and my boyfriend would have to hold me down. Not to mention, my sex drive was pretty much gone, and when I would have sex, there would be intense pain or pressure on my lower abdomen. If you already struggle with anxiety or depression, I recommend staying away from this pill."

For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "I am 21, and when I started this birth control, I took it to relieve horrible periods due to what I believe is endometriosis, with intense pain that led to passing out and heavy bleeding-horrible! This pain has stopped, which is great, and my acne stayed about the same as before-minor, not any worse. But the last month I have been on it, a new symptom has arisen that is causing me to switch: the worst nausea I have ever had. I take it at night, and I wake up in the morning almost unable to do anything. Also, I now get carsick and never have before, and it has increased my anxiety. I should mention I do have Hashimoto's thyroid disease, which may contribute to my experience. I will be switching to Microgestin to see if I can be more comfortable."

For Birth Control "I've been using this birth control for 7 years. I love it! At first, I definitely saw a change with myself. Positive and negative. My period became shorter, and my skin cleared up so quick! I have not had a pimple on my skin since starting this. The only negative I can think of is a little bit of weight gain and an emotional side effect. I definitely felt a little more sensitive and anxious after taking it, but nothing crazy enough to go off the pill. Definitely recommend for people who are struggling with acne or bad breakouts."

For Birth Control "On day 7 of Beyaz. I'm 22, and I was previously taking Femcon. I discontinued because of severe anxiety that could or could not have been related to the birth control (it's hard to tell sometimes if the symptoms are the pill or just you). I took a year break off of birth control before starting Beyaz. So far, I have mixed feelings. I have been feeling panicky and moody, but again, I'm not sure if that is a product of the birth control or my GAD. I also went back on birth control for my skin because I have bothersome acne. I have been developing pretty severe headaches, and I have also been feeling nauseous. My doctor said these symptoms will go away with time, so for now I am going to stick it out and see."

For Birth Control "Took it for 4 years. Acne was cleared up perfectly, and I actually lost weight. In the beginning, however, I had pretty bad anxiety and was noticeably more emotional. Towards the end of my use, I noticed my lethargy and mental fuzziness while in college. I also had dryness and a pretty low sex drive. Great obvious pros, but for me, there were hidden cons physiologically and psychologically."

For Birth Control "I've been off Beyaz almost a year now and have had only two cycles. I was on the pill a little over five years and went off of the pill due to weight gain, anxiety, and always feeling bad. I haven't had a period since March 2017, which results in me constantly having to take pregnancy tests to make sure I'm not pregnant (which I'm not). I wish I'd never started taking it. Please make sure your OBGYN explains all of the side effects before and after the pill."

For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "I took this birth control pill because I was experiencing extreme PMDD symptoms. My doctor put me on this hoping it would help and ease my symptoms by the intake of the hormones. This medication drained my whole life. It caused anxiety, depression, mood swings, bouts of crying every single day, and I spent 3 months of my whole summer break in bed, literally. I finally came off of it next week, and I can already feel like myself again. Stay away from this drug, it's also a generic for 'YAZ,' which is absolutely horrible. Stay away, please."

For Birth Control "Beyaz was good my first year, but as I continued to take it, my libido was short to none. I grew emotional, started having anxiety problems. I will be discontinuing this birth control because it's starting to affect my marriage."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Beyaz for like a month now, and I wasn’t having any problems until the effects kicked in within the month. I had a nightmare of an experience. I was feeling depressed, so sad for an action that I did which wasn’t even bad to begin with. I was feeling nauseous, blurred/foggy vision (which was high blood pressure). I felt trapped. I felt this way for like 3 days straight. It was so scary. However, my skin is super clear, which was why I began the pill in the first place. My sex drive has definitely lowered, which I’m the total opposite. I’m a very happy, funny person, but this made me feel not myself. I was getting panic attacks and anxiety with sadness. I never read on side effects, but this time I did, and it was the pill. I’m so relieved to find out what it was."
