For Acne "I love Beyaz. I was on Beyaz for 4 years and decided to try a new pill (Dumb). I switched to another birth control for a year and broke out terribly, battled depression, and had inexplicable mood swings. I switched back to Beyaz two months ago, and my acne has cleared COMPLETELY after a month and a half, my breasts grew a cup size, and I am not gaining weight. I am also a runner and was worried about the 'blood clot' scandals with this medicine, however, I have never had a problem. It is an incredible birth control pill for me, and I absolutely LOVE it. I am also a nurse. From my understanding, I want to note that many of the issues with blood clots are in HIGH RISK patients-those who smoke, who are over 40, etc. Take care of your body!"

For Birth Control "Previously, I was on Yaz for about 5 years, and my insurance didn't cover it, so I switched to Beyaz. I was on it for a good two years because it's the same thing as Yaz. Personally, I love this birth control. This is the only birth control for me. I suffer from PMDD, and this helps me tremendously. I also suffer from acne, my skin cleared right up in a week. Periods are better and shorter. No weight gain or other side effects. Perfect pill. I highly recommend this birth control."

For Birth Control "Throughout the first month, I was on this website all the time looking for hope! The first month was awful, and I broke out everywhere, but by the end of my sugar pills, my skin was basically clear. Push through the first month!"

For Birth Control "I have been on Beyaz for 5 months now. I was switched from a normal hormone birth control because it caused terrible breakouts (which I had never had in my life) as well as severe mood swings. At first, I really liked Beyaz. It cleared my skin back up to normal, and I didn't notice any changes. Now I am starting to get extremely agitated at the smallest things, crying for no reason, extreme headaches, and am getting cramps like I used to without birth control. I am considering getting off birth control altogether."

"I've been on Beyaz for about a year now, and I love it! I had some acne before (not much really), but it's completely gone, I never break out now. I never have cramps, my breasts got bigger, and when I went on it, I was trying to lose weight and had no problems (lost 15 lbs immediately after and got bigger breasts). I would recommend Beyaz to anyone."

For Birth Control "I started taking Beyaz about a month ago. I was originally taking Microgestin for birth control for a little over a year, and I started to experience extreme cramps that kept me from classes on some days. I never had problems with acne or mood swings, ever, especially while on Microgestin. Now that I'm taking Beyaz, I have very bad acne and feel very depressed and lackluster. I normally have a very high sex drive as well, and lately it has decreased immensely. Needless to say, I will be switching."

For Birth Control "I have been on Beyaz for 5 years, since the age of 23. The first few months were rough. I can remember being overly emotional. As an introvert, I could definitely notice the difference but then mellowed out. I had my period for 2-3 days after the first 6 months. After the first year, I noticed that my period would occasionally skip a month or two or would come out brown for 2-3 days after taking the last pill in the pack. My acne was less present, appearing only within the week of my period. Rarely, if ever, do I feel cramps; nothing like before the pill. For me, I had initial weight loss, but after my body got used to the drug, the weight returned. My migraines are now once a year instead of monthly. I've experienced no change in my sexual drive-still high. In the first year, I would always use a condom or Plan B just in case. After STD testing and a monogamous relationship, did I stop using extra protection. I can happily say that the birth control has worked thus far."

For Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder "I have been on this pill for 3 months going into 4 and have had my ups and downs with it. The 1st month, I experienced intense mood swings, I was crying and angry all the time and just wanted to be alone. The 2nd month, I was wondering why my acne wasn't going away, but my moods had improved. Although I was experiencing breakthrough bleeding for 15 days, I continued to take the pill. My period also brought cramps like no other. The 3rd month, I have been feeling sort of depressed, but I think that's due to life, not the pill. My breakthrough bleeding still occurred (some days light, some days none), and my skin has improved. I lost weight on Beyaz. I am looking forward to what month 4 brings and hoping all of the negative symptoms are gone."

For Birth Control "I had been on Yaz for close to a year and was using the Bayer card program to get my refills for $25. With the intro of Beyaz into the market, Bayer no longer offers the discounted price for Yaz, so my OBGYN switched me over so I could continue to use my savings card. Since Beyaz is the EXACT same as Yaz, just with folate, I expected to feel no different. SO WRONG! I am SO moody on Beyaz, fine one day and insane the next, crying for no reason, terrible all-day headaches, and breaking out. I was NEVER like that on Yaz! Luckily, my pharmacy has kept both prescriptions active so I can switch back to Yaz and just buy the generic. I miss paying $25, but I will pay $59 to be sane."

For Birth Control "I just finished month 2 of Beyaz and am hoping things get better after month 3. I have had just about every side effect that has been listed except for the mood swings. I have gained quite a bit of weight. In the first few weeks of taking Beyaz, I was very nauseous and vomited a few times. I have daily headaches. I have zero sex drive, and the thought of sex makes me ill when I am usually very sexually active. Thank goodness I have an understanding partner. I am unbelievably tired no matter how much sleep I get. I normally have acne on a regular basis, but it hasn't gotten worse, but I am patiently waiting for it to get better. I will continue to take Beyaz as recommended by my doctor for at least another 2 months and hope things get better."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for about 2 weeks now, and let me explain I've never been on birth control before. I experienced just about no side effects so far, no unusual weight gain, headaches, or cravings. No bad mood swings, and it's already helping my acne (the reason I went on it). The downfall: I've been bleeding for the whole 2 weeks I've been on it. I started it the day of my period as instructed, usually, I bleed for 4-5 days, but I have had my period now for 2 weeks straight. I think it's getting light and about to go away, and then I wake up the next morning, and it's back again! If this side effect continues into the next pack, I may have to give up Beyaz. I am on the generic, by the way."

For Birth Control "I was on Yaz a few years ago until I couldn't afford it anymore. I absolutely loved it. My face was clear, my period was light, and it worked magic on my absolutely unbearable cramps. I've been on Beyaz for a month now, and I am not really seeing the same things I saw with Yaz just yet. I was really nauseous for the first two weeks, my face is still breaking out (not because of the pill), cramps aren't bad but have not disappeared, and my sex drive has decreased. I'm hoping this is just for the first month and things get better down the line."

For Birth Control "So far, I have been on Beyaz for 4 months and have not had any issues. Acne-wise: I have minimal acne, but I do get hormonal cystic acne, which is painful and bothersome. Since being on Beyaz for the past 4 months, I have not had any huge cystic breakouts before or after my period! So far, so good! Weight gain: Within the first month of taking Beyaz, I didn't have much of an appetite (no changes in diet) and lost maybe about 5-6 lbs in a month, but my body must have gotten used to the pill because I gained that all back within the next month (no changes in diet). Thankful I have not had any of the major side effects such as severe cramping or bloating, swelling of ankles, hair loss (my hair is already thin, so I can't really say if that had an effect or not). So far, so good."

For Birth Control "It took 2-3 months for everything to regulate, but now that I've been on it for almost a year, I love it. My cramps aren't as bad, bleeding is much lighter than it used to be, hormones are 1,000 times more steady, and best of all: only 4 periods per year! The only drawback is that I get random menstrual-like cramps, but they're very light, don't even need to take ibuprofen; it's more of a small annoyance than anything. I haven't gained weight, but my face has broken out some over the past 1-2 months; it didn't for the longest time, so I'm not sure whether there's a correlation to the Beyaz or not. I take it at night because if I take any kind of birth control in the morning, I feel extremely dizzy/nauseous all day. Overall, an awesome choice!"

For Birth Control "I went from Yaz to Beyaz. Worst decision ever. Yaz was amazing, but I was receiving it for free. They couldn't offer it for free anymore, so they put me on Beyaz. My period is longer, my cramps are bad, and I am emotional - which is crazy because I was never emotional when I was on Yaz or no birth control! The worst part is the acne. GIANT pimples everywhere. I am 27 and feel like I am 13! Ladies, keep in mind everyone will have their own experience, as it's how it reacts with your specific body."

For Acne "I was on Yaz for years. Even if I skipped a week or two on it, my face would start breaking out, and literally within three days of taking Yaz, my face would be crystal clear again. I completely went off the pill for a year due to prices, but now I just went back on to Beyaz since it is cheaper and supposed to be the same thing. I've been waiting it out for three months, hoping I would improve, but my acne is actually getting way worse! I thought Yaz and Beyaz had the same ingredients... did I become immune to the effects?"

For Birth Control "The only reason I got on Beyaz was because I developed 2 very large ovarian cysts. My doctor recommended the pill to reduce ovulation, which would only make the cyst bigger. I was scared that I was going to gain weight. At first, I hated the pill because I bled very lightly for an entire month. My doctor said that was normal for the first month. Then I noticed that my skin was clearing up really nicely. I didn't notice any weight gain, but the best part was Beyaz sorted my monthly cramps. I was so relieved. The only thing I can say that I don't like about Beyaz is that if I miss a pill and take it when I remember, it seems like over the next 2 or 3 days my acne flares up really bad, and I hate that. Just stay consistent, I recommend it 100%."

For Birth Control "So far, it's been a lot better than I expected. I have been dreading going on hormonal birth control, but after a failed experience with my Paragard IUD, I gave Beyaz a try. I haven't gained any weight at all, this was my biggest fear, and I'm so happy it didn't come true. My stomach is flat and unbloated. My boobs have increased in size, they just feel nice and full, but not sore! Sometimes I do feel a little blue, and my sex drive is definitely lower. My libido is at about 90% when I am with my boyfriend. My acne has gotten much worse, but they say this happens at first, and then clear skin follows. My period has been light and no cramps!"

For Birth Control "I am 19 years old and have been taking Beyaz for 3 months. This is my first time being on birth control. However, I am switching because of the mood swings. I feel like I have crippling depression. I am NOT like this at all - this isn't me. It has gotten worse each month. I cry at every little thing and have had increasing suicidal thoughts. It is absolutely miserable. Other than depression, other negative effects have been weight gain (nearly 10 lbs), low sex drive, and my acne has stayed prominent. The only positive aspects are I didn't get pregnant (a few times I missed my time to take the pill up to 7 hours), and my breasts are definitely bigger than normal."

For Birth Control "I was scared to take Beyaz because of some of the reviews I had, but I’m so glad I did. I was diagnosed with mild PCOS and was having irregular spotting and pelvic cramps from it. After 2 months of being on it, my pelvic cramps and irregular bleeding have gone away. My periods are now lighter, and I have less cramping. I did experience a breakout when I first started taking it, but it wasn’t too bad, and it eventually went away within a couple of weeks. I definitely recommend this birth control, and it hasn’t caused me anything bad for me so far!"

For Birth Control "I had been using the pill for 8 years. I used the first version of this pill, Yaz, then switched to Beyaz when it came out. I went about my life for a few years and then considered switching to Ashlyan, which is just one period every 3 months. Well, let me tell you, having only one period every 3 months is MAGICAL. Unfortunately, my acne went full force, 6 months into the new pill, my entire face was broken out. I was using the strong topical prescription available, and still just getting worse. I was at my lowest when I realized the problem was probably the pill. I spoke with my doc, and we decided I could switch back to Beyaz and just get 2 extra packs a year and still get only 1 period every 3 months. 1 month into Beyaz, and my face is clear again!"

For Birth Control "Overall, this was a good pill for me. The only reason I stopped taking it was because I wanted to switch to a form of birth control that I didn't have to take every day. At first, for maybe the first two weeks, I felt more depressed, but after that, I felt the same as usual. I did spot through pretty much the whole second month, BUT that has happened with every birth control I have been on, so I think it is just my body. There was also a mild increase in acne toward the end of the first pack, but it went away and my skin became very clear. This pill was also helpful for excess hair growth that I have in certain areas. It was a helpful pill for my PMS symptoms and to regulate my periods."

For Birth Control "So I will say that Beyaz has served its course. I've been on it for a little over a year and can only offer 2 pros. Pros: it stopped my period, it prevented pregnancy. Cons: the mood swings are terrible, I am always irritated, every little thing bothers me, I am so rude to my husband. Not to mention, I cry at the drop of a dime. Before Beyaz, I could count on one hand the number of times I had cried in the last 5 years. Also, the weight gain. My doctor put me on Beyaz because it was supposed to help me lose weight. Instead, I have gained everywhere, and although I constantly work out, I can't lose the weight. I have never had acne, so I can't really speak on that, but I will say that I have had quite a few breakouts while being on Beyaz."

For Birth Control "I started Beyaz about 6 months ago. The first 3 months were great. No acne. No crying. No anger or crazy mood swings. The last 2 or 3 months have been bad, though. My face started breaking out, I am very emotional and angry. I don't know if it's because my pharmacy started giving me the generic version or it's the hormones, but everything was great until recently."

"Beyaz worked as far as making my menstrual cycle come at the same time, but it made me moody, tired, and really depressed. I'm happy to say I'm switching over and hope my new birth control takes care of the skin breakouts Beyaz caused."
