"Using Depakote ER for my autistic son's tonic clonic, atonic and myoclonic seizures. It has reduced seizures, but is intermittently elevating ammonia. A constant battle. It's a shame the drug manufacturers can't fix this because Depakote induced hyperammonia causes many people to discontinue this otherwise very effective seizure drug."

"I had a grand mal seizure in 2014 and was placed on Depakote 2/500 mg twice daily. I haven't had a seizure since. Spoke with my neurologist recently about my left hand shaking a lot. She wants to check the level of the Depakote in my bloodstream because that could be the cause of the shaking."
