"I am a lacrosse player at the age of 57. Through X-rays, the doctors said I had arthritis in my hip. I take ibuprofen after games and the pain eases up. I took Voltaren twice a day, and it knocked out 75% of the pain. I haven't taken it again, and the pain still isn't there. I can run and tie my shoe without the pain. I just can't believe it."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I have rheumatoid arthritis and was hoping Voltaren cream would help with joint pain because I can no longer take Meloxicam. Voltaren was recommended by my rheumatologist but did NOT WORK!!! Waste of my money."

For Pain "No side effects and back to work in a couple of days. Using Voltaren and some intense home treatment reduced swelling and pain dramatically. When taking this drug, the faster you get moving, the better it works, so don't sit around hoping for miracles."

For Pain "I have osteoarthritis in both knees and will be getting knee replacement next month. This stuff is wonderful. I wish I had found it years ago. I am referring to the topical cream. I rub it in well twice a day, and oh, what a difference. You must be consistent with it, and the relief will grow on you."

For Sciatica "May help a little with sciatic nerve injury and with arthritis, but after struggling for years to find the cause of severe rhinitis, stopped Voltaren, and now no sinus problems whatsoever. I have a reaction to all oral pain meds, and now Voltaren also. Cannot rate for others' benefit because of my own reaction."

For Period Pain "Since I got my period when I was 12 years old, I experience an unbearable pain that stops my life completely, accompanied by vomiting and diarrhea, and so many times went to hospital emergency. I may faint from pain, all the people around me know what I suffer in school, university, or at work. Voltaren ampoule worked well so far to the extent that I can give myself the injection in the butt like a boss. It makes me sleepy, and from the huge pain, I feel dizzy, headachy, and very tired, but it's better than the pain for sure. I wish there would be no side effects in the long run. I'm 26 years old now."

For Pain "I've used Voltaren Rapid 25 and 50, by far, the best joint pain medication I've ever had. I use it to ease my pain when gout attacks come on. I take 2 with milk or before I eat something. My partner also uses it only if her period pain is unbearable, seems to help her cope."

For Osteoarthritis "Couldn't stand, was taken to ER. They said I have arthritis behind my knee and prescribed Voltaren. Put it on behind my knee and again the next morning. An hour later I could walk on my own. That was 6 mos. ago with no side effects."

For Pain "I have severe ankle and foot pain from nerve damage. These pills do not work. I get severe cramps from my menstrual cycle too [clearly it's fun to be me], and the Voltaren did nothing for that as well."

For Osteoarthritis "Voltaren DOES NOT, I repeat DOES NOT WORK on my arthritis pain located at the joint of both thumbs. Very painful and limits hand function due to the pain. I have tried for a few years just to see if it would develop into a helpful remedy, JUST A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. Does not relieve any pain in thumb joints at all. This product is garbage."

For Pain "The only thing about the product is the size of the tube it comes in. For my knees, they suggest a 4-gram dosage. Well, if I use 4 grams per knee 4 times a day, that's 32 grams a day! Well, it comes in a 50-gram tube. Well, common sense tells me I'll only get not even a two-day treatment! Need to look into a larger supply for your customers!"

For Pain "I am highly allergic to internal intake of NSAIDs. The gel has been tried as an alternative. I have had bilateral knee replacements and suffer from RSD. I thought the gel was helping the knees. However, when I was off of my narcotic protocol for a period of two weeks, I discovered that Voltaren did not work. I was sad that it did not work because I am seeking a good alternative to narcotics."

For Pain "Due to a recent accident, my orthopedic doctor prescribed this for my knee swelling/bursitis condition. I'm a 51-year-old female, and after 2-3 weeks of taking this medicine, I was experiencing hot flashes frequently, about 5 times a day, especially at night, that wake me up, which never occurred before. I thought I was pretty young to be experiencing this, but this website was the second place where I researched this medicine, where it states 'works by reducing hormones,' that explains my hot flashes recently. I still need to take a few more pills, and swelling has subsided in my knee, but do not intend to take this long-term."

For Pain "Why would they put fragrance in a pharmaceutical cream? My doctor prescribed this medicine, and I'm allergic to scents, so I just wasted my money on this. It's not covered by the medical plan, and since I opened it, I can't return it. What a waste of money."

For Pain "Got this after I strained a muscle or a nerve beneath my rib cage... Was moaning, and it hurt to breathe. Ran down to the pharmacy and got this over the counter. Absolutely no pain now, with no noticeable side effects. Outstanding."

For Osteoarthritis "DO NOT USE THIS GEL AND EXPOSE IT TO THE SUN FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD. I have used this for several years for hands and knees as needed. I recently used it on both hands and went golfing (Florida) for about four to five hours. That evening, I had serious itching on the backside of both hands. Then, my ungloved hand swelled up and was very uncomfortable. I tried ice, then cortisone cream, but it was no help. The next day, I took prednisone, and in two days, the symptoms went away. I mentioned this to another golfer who told me he had the same experience on his knee that resulted in skin coming off!"

For Pain "After seeing the foot doctor for what I described as pain off and on as if my toe was broken or had a spur. I was given Voltaren, and it seems to work at times, the Biofreeze did nothing for arthritis pain, so I give Voltaren a thumbs up for temporary relief."

For Pain "I found this cream to provide excellent pain relief for my bum knee. No complaints about it at all in that respect. However, it does contain NSAIDs, which can adversely affect kidney function. It affected mine, and my doctor told me to quit using it. Otherwise, I highly recommend it."

For Pain "Some things you need to consider. Maybe this was better when a prescription was required, as it cost me $11.49 for a 50 g tube. Each application for knees or the lower body is a 4.5-inch long ribbon or 4 g. Which means this tube, at the recommended applications, 4, per day will last you three days. Some things that you should take into account also are if you have high blood pressure or kidney disease, then you really shouldn’t be taking this stuff. Those are two very prominent medical conditions in older people, which also happen to be the same people that have the arthritis problems that need the product. So in my case and in my opinion, it turns out that Voltaren is not only ridiculously expensive, but useless."

For Frozen Shoulder "I got some of this for my wife. She has a sore shoulder, but she is also allergic to perfume. Now she has a migraine on top of it. This product should clearly state that it contains some noxious perfume, which makes people sick. It probably causes heart problems, too. Bad marketing for a bad product."

For Back Pain "Last year, when I had back pain, my GP prescribed this medicine. It worked very well, and I have no side effects. I stopped taking the medicine after the pain decreased and gradually disappeared. Recently, the pain came back, and I am thinking of taking it again, but I don't know whether I should take the same medicine, as it is still not out of date."
