For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I have been living with four swollen fingers on my right hand (my dominant hand) and have trouble sleeping with pain in both hips and shoulders. At 49, I feel far too young for arthritis, but sometimes life is not fair. The doctor prescribed Arthrotec yesterday. Two pills in, and I can hold a pen, type, and slept like a baby last night! I'll take the queasy stomach and gas if it means I'm not cranky because of poor sleep and constant pain!"

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I recently switched from Celebrex to Arthrotec. Although my stomach has been very upset most days, the pain in my shoulders, hips, and knee has been greatly reduced. Also, I have gained considerable mobility in the range of motion in my leg/knee."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "Suffering from RA, osteo, fibro, and Sjögren's. Diagnosed at 41, am now 53. On Enbrel and Arthrotec 75. This combination works very well for me, I still have pain, but it is manageable. I tried to do generic Arthrotec, but it did not work. I usually take one tab before bed. If I am going to be very active, I will take one in the morning as well, but that is rare. The gas and stomach upset are expected, along with feeling very hungry, and I do have bathroom issues from it. I have lost weight while taking this. I believe a lot of inflammation stems from the digestive tract, and when it is emptied, I suffer a lot less. I will watch my kidneys, but as for this med, I love it, and the pros outweigh the cons."

For Sciatica "Started taking this medication about a week ago for sciatica-related pain. I had L5-L6 back surgery 10 years ago and get flare-ups of pain from post-surgery. It has helped the pain a fair bit. I still feel the right buttock pain when driving my car, but other types of sitting are much better. The side effects are not so good: a lot of bloating. I feel like I have a balloon in my tummy, upset stomach, lightheadedness, and dizziness. With having vertigo in the past, it's hard to tell if it's vertigo or the medication. The doctor wanted me to try it for 2 weeks, but I will go see him today after 1 week and have a chat with him about it. My dosage is 2 pills per day with food, 50MG. I will ask if taking 1 per day may be a good idea, and who knows, it may be enough."

For Osteoarthritis "After taking two 50 mg doses am and pm, I am having to sit up in bed, hoping that the gas and stomach upset will pass so I can get some sleep. I did notice some pain relief, but I won't take it again due to the stomach upset."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I have been taking this for 12 yrs, made a big difference in my life. Tried every medicine, and none had the same effect. Take two pills a day, 3 upsets my stomach. Without this, I would be bedridden."
