For Bowel Preparation "I chose Prepopik because a GI doctor recommended it. The colorectal surgeon performing the colonoscopy agreed to let me try it. Taking it is very easy and it tastes fine. I took it at five in the afternoon. Within an hour, it started to work. I continued to have to use the bathroom off and on for the whole evening. Finally, at 1:30, I called the surgeon and told him I was still going to the bathroom and there was no way I was going to be able to do a second dose. He agreed. Turned out the first dose cleaned me out just fine. I had cramping while taking it, but nothing horrible. I didn't feel nauseous and I didn't get a headache. I have a sensitive stomach and one dose was plenty. The procedure itself was a breeze."

For Bowel Preparation "Today was my third colonoscopy; so almost a veteran. First the good part: this stuff is easy to use, no bad (but not good) taste, no side effects (no vomiting, headache, etc.), no abnormal discomfort, and produced the desired results (no detail necessary) in a reasonably quick time. The desired results were accomplished such that the doctor commented how squeaky clean my colon was. The slight downsides: - the split dose required doing this whole thing twice, including getting up at 2:30 a.m. (and of course not even thinking about going back to sleep right away) for a 7:30 a.m. appointment. - numerous trips to the bathroom for several hours after each of the two packets of stuff and fluids. - out-of-pocket cost was $120, seems EXCESSIVE."

For Bowel Preparation "It worked, but it caused me to pass out. I took this as instructed - 1 dose at 4 pm and another at 8 pm. My doctor's instructions were to drink 2 16 oz glasses of water/beverage or more after the 4 pm dose, and that liquids could continue to be consumed after the second dose until midnight. I drank some herbal tea. Things went fine after the first dose, and it seemed gentle enough. I went to the restroom several times and things seemed to be moving along. I took the second dose and by 10 pm thought I was done. I woke up at 12:30 am with stomach cramps and a pounding headache. I had watery diarrhea and became very dizzy. I stood up and passed out, hitting my head."

For Bowel Preparation "Today made my third colonoscopy in 11 years. I know, gag. Prepopik was not good for me. I thought at first it was good because I only had to drink 5 oz., followed by 5-8 oz. glasses of clear liquid of my choice. I did it rather quickly because it was easier than Golightly. My stomach bloated, and I felt sick. It took the product over an hour to produce results. I also had a headache for the entire duration of the prep (1 1/2 days), a headache with a pain rating of 8-9. I did not vomit. The next day, I repeated the process. The second dose I finished, but same symptoms as before, except I vomited 1 1/2 hours later. BTW, you never get a clear stool with this product. I arrived for my test and was given Zofran to prevent vomiting again."

For Bowel Preparation "Had an endoscopy (w/biopsy) and colonoscopy (double adventure) yesterday. Not my first time having procedures but first trial with Prepopik. Much easier than expected. Started 1st pack around 5 pm & drank more than the 5 8 oz clear liquids (rotated between chicken broth and Gatorade to balance off the sweet/salt cravings plus have extra electrolytes to avoid dehydration). The meds kicked in about an hr later and continued till around 10 pm. Second dose at 1 am. Had plenty to drink again. Doc recommended I take Gas-X (1 tablet after drinking the med). No cramping! Slept from 3-6 am. Had a mild headache (thought caffeine withdrawal or being hungry). My procedure was at 9 am. Headache/nauseous till procedure but recovered fine! Would recommend meds."

For Bowel Preparation "My body is sodium sensitive. I took the first dose as prescribed, and within 15 minutes, I had a splitting headache and my blood pressure went up to 190/80. When I called the doctor's service, they warned not to take the second dose and said that the upper and lower exams could not be done with pressure that high and for me to call my primary physician if the numbers didn't go down."

For Bowel Preparation "The stuff is nuclear. I hated it, but it cleaned me out big time. Second dose gave me a huge headache, nausea, dry heaves, dizziness, sweats, chills, and fear. I was totally cleaned out. Third colonoscopy, but first and last time on this."

For Bowel Preparation "I was given this prep since my first try was rescheduled due to an adverse reaction to Golytely colon prep. At first, I wasn't sure it was working. I was told by my GI to start at 2 pm with the first packet in 5 oz of liquid and the second packet at 7 pm. I heard bowel sounds at 8 pm, but nothing moving. I did have to use an enema per Dr. orders, however, I did have the prep start working within a few minutes after, and as I write this... well, let's just say it's 11:30 pm and I am still awake using the restroom. No cramping, no nausea, no headaches. It is very gentle. I am a 39-year-old female and have a history of colitis with severe constipation."
