For Bowel Preparation "I am doing the Prepopik for the first time. I've done the Golytely and the Miralax/Gatorade preps in the past. The Prepopik is tolerable. It's only 5 oz 2x, so it's not too difficult. I started feeling it work within the first half hour of taking the first dose. My stool was clear a couple of hours later. I took my 2nd dose 6 hours later as directed. It felt like I was pooping fire. It was HORRIBLE, take your breath away burning. I did remain clear yellow, though. The biggest struggle for me was drinking the at least 24 oz after the second dose. I couldn't take in any more liquid. My stomach was a mess. I had mild cramping, tons of gurgling, and a very uncomfortable digestion feeling. This prep wasn't worse than any of the others."

For Bowel Preparation "I recently used Prepopik for my first colonoscopy. I am 26 years old and in good health, it was scheduled due to family history. Prepopik was easy to take, I had a lighter day of eating the day before Prepopik started. On the day of preparation, I was on a liquid diet all day and drank the most fluids I ever have. The Prepopik was easy to take, it just burned a little. However, after my colonoscopy, the doctor informed me that the Prepopik had not done a very good job cleaning me out. I need to go back in a year. It was recommended that next time I be on a soft diet 3-5 days beforehand (eggs, potato soup, protein) and to ask the doctor about taking magnesium sulfate as a laxative the day before preparation. I will not be using Prepopik again."

For Bowel Preparation "I am 35, female, and have ulcerative colitis for all of my life. I have done a ton of preps before. I took my first dose at 10 a.m. today, and it took till 1:30 to kick in. I was getting worried, but I also was in bed the whole time. I drank the fluids, more than it says, only because I know our body requires more than we think. The first round was easy, and I was relieved. The second bout, excuse the language, but I'm sure I was yelling as my poor butt was on fire! It was that bad, every time till the first dose ran dry. I took my second dose around 5, it is now 7:15, and it just kicked in. Thankful to say, no burning, and it's just liquid. I don't tend to follow the dosing times, I stay on clear liquids all day, so nothing solid is being processed. GL!"

For Bowel Preparation "I am within two hours of my procedure, and I don't believe I am cleaned out enough. Also, when I go, I get a very bad burning sensation."

For Bowel Preparation "61 yr old male, 3rd colonoscopy, 1st time for Prepopik - $40 after insurance. Followed all product instructions. 1st dose @ 6 pm, 2nd dose @ 11 pm for a 7 am procedure. Taste is very mild & easy to swallow. For my liquids, alternated Sprite, Gatorade, apple juice, and beef broth. Also alternated lemon, pineapple, and lime Jell-O when hungry (allowable per instructions). Several hrs for 1st action, then sporadic trips as needed. Actually slept in bed from 2:30-5:00 am. No cramps, nausea, dizziness, fever, huge gas explosions, or other ugly side effects (other than normal burning and raw feeling). Highly recommend moist wipes. Color was eventually pale brown/bright yellow before leaving home @ 5:30 (never clear). Colon photos were clean & clear."
