"Used in combination with lamotrigine. Been seizure-free for 7 months. Side effect: lack of energy and sleepiness (sleep 9-10 hrs a night plus a 30-60 min nap). NOTE: I cannot recommend this drug - only a doctor can."

"Let me start by saying: ask your doctor to be honest about side effects and then list the pros versus the cons. My experience has been terrible, side effects that include nausea, abdominal pain, constipation, headaches, double vision, and severe dizziness. Add the fact that certain migraine medicines (Qulipta, Nurtec) interact with Xcopri was the deal breaker, but I tried to push through the first 3 weeks and failed. I was unable to do so because the side effects weren't worth adjunctive therapy. New isn't always the best."

"I have been taking Keppra for 6 years, 1000 mg twice a day, and Depakote 500 mg twice a day. Have had breakthrough seizures the entire time. My new neurologist (who specializes in epilepsy) weaned me off Depakote and added Xcopri 500 mg. Thankfully and blessed, I have been seizure-free for almost a year!"

"Made my already bad memory worse, was extremely dizzy, and it started giving me horrible rage and anger issues. Talked with a doctor, lowered the dosage, took B6 to help with the other side effects. Got the dosage right and it worked wonders in stopping the seizure onset."
