Rocephin (ceftriaxone) for Urinary Tract Infection "This is my 3rd UTI in an annual year. One in Oct of 2019, May 2020 and Aug 2020. I woke up at 2 am 2 days ago feeling that all so familiar feeling. By 1pm Sunday I headed to the ER. I started urinating blood, passing clots and my pelvic area was killing me! A UTI causes INTENSE pain, I would birth my 4 children all over again! Doc did a phone call appt (due to covid) today and he said I am perimenopausal(sp) at 38 years old :/. My estrogen is funky so that could def be a culprit. I did have the rocephin shot last night, but it's taking a bit longer to COMPLETELY go away vs the last 2x. I am TERRIFIED of getting another UTI. My doc suggested a natural supplement call de mannose. Anyone taking this? I have to order it, drug store was out. Apparently it's a preventative supplement for UTI's. All I know is that the pain of a UTI is forever traumatizing! The shot hurts, yes, but SO worth the relief. I would recommend it to anyone."

Rocephin (ceftriaxone) for Bacterial Infection "I have sick for 3 weeks! 21 days of coughing green phlegm and having the worse symptoms I have ever experienced. I get sick frequently so I decided to try to let my immune system work on its own. I've been dragging myself around trying to deal with symptoms while still taking care of my kids. I gave in and went to urgent care this morning. I received a rocephin injection and oral antibiotics. Within HOURS, I felt better."

Rocephin (ceftriaxone) for Pneumonia "I'm a healthy 71 year old male with one weakness - my lungs. I've had bronchitis as a boy and had pneumonia twice before and this is the third time getting pneumonia. The Rocephin was added to an slow intravenous drip. Good relief the first day and today, the second day of treatment, I got my appetite back. I have one more day of intravenous and I think I may be back to near normal."

Rocephin (ceftriaxone) for Urinary Tract Infection "Tried posting this on my iPad yesterday and the day before but it did not seem to post. I have been getting Rocephin injections for UTIs for about 10 years. Initially after trying pill antibiotics over a over with little success, my OB recommended the shot. I am extremely needle phobic and was very reluctant to agree to a shot in my butt, but convinced myself to suck it up. First it is a little embarrassing to be bent over a table with a bare butt , next the shot really hurts and burns. Your butt is sore or about 1 hour afterward. But it works. A few days ago I had symptoms of a UTI and ignored them. My husband convinced me to stop being a baby and go get the shot! I finally gave in and saw my doctor. I received one rocephin injection in my right cheek and a B12 shot in my other butt cheek. 5-6 hours later I felt fine although my bottom is still a little sore. I need to get over this fear of needles! Don't watch when they prepare it. But I would recommend this shot."

Rocephin (ceftriaxone) for Bacterial Infection "I was given Rocephin by i.v in ER. Within minutes I was having a severe anaphylactic reaction. I was in the hospital almost a week. Its a great medicine for other people in my family. For me ...sudden death. Be sure to remain at doctors office or ER for at least 30 mins after receiving this medicine... it could really make a difference if you are allergic."

Rocephin (ceftriaxone) for Urinary Tract Infection "I am only putting this out here so it can help others that have been or are in my same situation. I was seen 4 days ago for which I thought was a UTI. It was extremely painful and they prescribed be Bactrim, a 3 day supply. After taking 3 pills I was getting worse. My doctor finally called me back and wanted me in right away. I had literally no control over my bladder. I was in excruciating pain, and couldn't help but cry. The doctor told me I had tested positive for an STD as well as a UTI and I was on the wrong medication. I was given the Rocephin shot and prescribed another antiobiotic. It is now day 2 since the shot and I feel much better. I'm still in some pain but I'm hoping it goes away soon!"

Rocephin (ceftriaxone) for Pneumonia "I have been so sick I had average of 104 temp. Couldn't breathe. I went to the dr. They ran tests and xrays turns out I had pneumonia. They fave me two shots a steroid and also this besides my butt feeling sore I feel so much better. I also was given antibiotics. But three hours after this shot I can breathe without mini painful short breathes."

Rocephin (ceftriaxone) for Lyme Disease, Neurologic "I had Lyme disease, misdiagnosed and untreated, for 12 years. By the time the wise doctor sent me out for a blood test, I was basically a vegetable. I have gone from a high-performing, athletic lifestyle, and having a very sharp wit, to being unable to care for myself, unable to read, to sit up, even to watch a TV show. I have been on IV Rocephin now for 4 1/2 months. I take 2 g, every 12 hours, four days in a row each week. In addition, I take IV clindamycin, 900 mg , Six days in a row each month. I also take ursodiol to prevent gallbladder failure from rocephin. I have gone from completely bedridden, and suffering unendurable agony, to being semi-functional, able to care for myself, and almost able to Work."

Rocephin (ceftriaxone) for Pneumonia "I wish I would have received as fast a healing as others had with Rocephin, but it still worked! I had a very severe case of pneumonia and was hospitalized for three weeks. I was given Rocephin by IV while in the hospital and four weeks at home. Although my illness was stubborn the Rocephin did it's job and now my lung is clear of infection. I am thankful for the doctor that prescribed the medicine and those that make it."

Rocephin (ceftriaxone) for Bacterial Infection "I have received numerous shots and it works like a miracle. Within a few hours you can feel the difference. I've been given this for numerous respiratory infections. The down fall, the injection is a little painful, but it is well worth it."

Rocephin (ceftriaxone) for Urinary Tract Infection "I went to Convenient Care late this morning. I have been having problems with urinating all week. I was running to the bathroom with extreme urgency to pee every 15 minutes or so only to urinate a small amount. My back had started hurting in a different area than usual a few days ago and yesterday my legs ached so bad I could barely stand it. I was nauseated also. Anyways, at the Convenient Care they checked me in and I had a temperature they asked for a urine sample so I gave them one. All morning I have been passing small clot like mucous pieces of blood while urinating. I have never had an injection before for my bladder infections but this morning I received my first Rocephin. I had it around noon and by 4:30 I was already starting to feel better! They also gave Cipro for 10 days so I hope that doesn’t make me feel too sick because I’m feeling a lot better right now. Still achy but not burning when I urinate."

Rocephin (ceftriaxone) for Urinary Tract Infection "I had a stent put it for an obstructed kidney stone and developed a UTI was completely miserable went to my local ED and was given Rocephin I felt better by the time I was discharged. Never had an antibiotic work that fast."

Rocephin (ceftriaxone) for Pneumonia "It has only been a day since my 4 month old son was diagnosed with double lobe pneumonia. I have seen a huge difference within the past 24 hours. It's hard to believe he was sick for 3 weeks prior. We were told it was just a cold. So I took him back every few days until they finally listened to me. He ran 103 fever for about 5 days and it has disappeared. "

Rocephin (ceftriaxone) for Bacterial Infection "I had a severe throat or some I sort of strep infection. Where i was so sick i hadn't eaten in two days (i DO NOT miss meals). , lethargic, sinus congestion, ear pain. Weekend so i went to urgent care they gave me shot of rocephin and a steroid. I didn't stay bc im never allergic to anything but i did pass out after leaving (it's a very strong dose of medicine) but i was fine, passed out before. Hours later im able to eat food and sleep! They put me on round of penicillin too. Great drug!"

Rocephin (ceftriaxone) for Bacterial Infection "Since I've started taking vitamins, (prenatal, vit c & echinacea), I don't get sick as much as I use to. Monday it started with a sore throat. The next day still sore throat, congestion buildup. The next day, it was all a little worse. In the mean time, I was taking mucinex (with no relief). The next day, I felt like I was on my deathbed. I had a headache that started at lunch Wednesday, it was full force the next morning. I had dizzy spells throughout the day. Started dayquil and ibuprofen on top of that. No relief whatsoever. I was coughing up yellow gunk. Blowing out yellow gunk. Went to the dr. Begged for any shot. He gave me this last night. Huuuge difference. My headache is gone...congestion is at ease. I feel like a whole different person. He also gave me 2 other antibiotics. I will take that shot again if I need to."

Rocephin (ceftriaxone) for Urinary Tract Infection "I expressed I felt strongly I had an infection on my kidney or bladder and after she decided to test my urine she came back and said i made her a liar and there was infection still present after completing the Cipro. I was given Rocephin via IV, fluids, and CScan. Diagnosed with UTI and the infection was on my bladder. Gave me Nitrofurantoin and I've been sick as heck- chills, nausea, you name it! Going back and requesting Rocephin shot!"

Rocephin (ceftriaxone) for Urinary Tract Infection "Had been dealing with a UTI for over a week was on two different antibiotics and neither cleared it up the infection had went to my kidney so had a kidney infection. My back was hurting so bad I couldn't hardly walk along with running a fever and feeling nauseous. Ended up going to the ER they gave me the Rocephin shot and within an hour I promise I could pee without it burning and the blood clots I was passing had stopped, so this was a miracle medicine to me. But I must add my arm is so swollen and still hurting and has a knot in it but if I had to do it again I would."

Rocephin (ceftriaxone) for Bacterial Infection "My mother 79 year old mother died 30 minutes after receiving a rocephin shot. Rocephin is the “catch-all” antibiotic given in the ER in most African countries. Unfortunately, the manufacturers of this drug are not concerned about adverse reactions suffered by third world country patients."

Rocephin (ceftriaxone) for Bacterial Infection "When I get sick, within 24 hrs, it goes into infection. This is the only shot that is strong enough to help the infection. My immune system cannot fight for me anymore and win, I only wish the shot had cured this infection. I had one on Thursday and after the injection at the dr office, within 8 hrs, all of the symptoms went away but came back 3 days later so I have to go back again today."

Rocephin (ceftriaxone) for Bacterial Infection "My son had an unexplained high fever (103.5) for almost 5 days. He was admitted to the hospital and was given iv Rocephin, and within 24 hrs the fever was gone and he was his old self again. We never quite knew what caused his fever, but whatever it was the Rocephin worked."

Rocephin (ceftriaxone) for Urinary Tract Infection "My daughter (5) got up one morning and went to the bathroom at least 40 times in 10 minutes (autistic, can talk but not with things like that) and I thought she was just being weird until it clicked it was a UTI. Took her to the Urgent Care and was running a fever and positive screen for UTI. Doctor recommended this shot to get treatment started and I thought about it for a minute and said do it and my daughter was better within an hour playing outside. The shot was obviously painful for her, she didn't enjoy it at all. And was prescribed additional antibiotics for 7 days. Glad we did the shot. I was surprised at its fast-acting abilities."

Rocephin (ceftriaxone) for Pneumonia "I rate this low because I am an exception. Within 3 minutes of my shot I had severe reaction and it took excellent medical intervention to save me. I have never had any allergic reaction to any food, product, or medicine prior to this shot. I am informed this is an excellent drug, however, do not take this shot without the first being at a clinic or other medical setting."

Rocephin (ceftriaxone) for Pneumonia "'Came down with what seemed like a bad bout of influenza on a Friday night. Absent from work Monday, and Tuesday. Wednesday and my cough is dry, chest heavy, gurgling sound in my chest. I thought it was wheezing, but that sound didn't go away even after inhalers. I regret returning to work on Wednesday, but I've used up my sick time. Doctor gave me Rocephin on Thursday morning. By Thursday evening, I'm feeling good enough to be bored and wanting to return to work! The creators of this medicine deserve Nobel Prize!"

Rocephin (ceftriaxone) for Bacterial Infection "My 13 month old son had been battling ear infections for 8 weeks. He was placed on an oral antibiotic and within a week of finishing them it would return. I looked up home remedies and tried them all. Hesitate to put him on another round due to my 5 year old having C.diff cause of taking too much antibiotics. (If you don't know what c.diff is look it up. Very common after multiple rounds of antibiotics. Extremely painful and ended up with ambulance ride and 5 days in the hospital) After no sleep and nothing working I returned to the doctors office and voiced my concern with antibiotics cause of my daughter. They had recommended a shot of Rocephin today and to return in 2 days for another 1. With 5 hours he's back to his normal self."
