For Urinary Tract Infection "I am only putting this out here so it can help others that have been or are in my same situation. I was seen 4 days ago for what I thought was a UTI. It was extremely painful, and they prescribed me Bactrim, a 3-day supply. After taking 3 pills, I was getting worse. My doctor finally called me back and wanted me in right away. I had literally no control over my bladder. I was in excruciating pain and couldn't help but cry. The doctor told me I had tested positive for an STD as well as a UTI and I was on the wrong medication. I was given the Rocephin shot and prescribed another antibiotic. It is now day 2 since the shot, and I feel much better. I'm still in some pain, but I'm hoping it goes away soon!"

For Bacterial Infection "I've had a persistent UTI and been through 2 rounds of oral antibiotics, and it kept coming back despite having had a culture done to determine what would be effective. Once the pain got bad enough that the pyridium was no longer effective, I called the doctor and begged for help while still waiting for the second culture results. They gave me a shot of Rocephin. By morning, I felt 85% better. The second day, I still feel a twinge of symptoms here and there, but feel soooo much better. The shot hurts, yes. But it's not THAT bad, and there was lidocaine in my injection to help with that. Powerful stuff - so glad they gave it to me!"

For Bacterial Infection "I was given Rocephin by IV in the ER. Within minutes, I was having a severe anaphylactic reaction. I was in the hospital almost a week. It's a great medicine for other people in my family. For me... sudden death. Be sure to remain at the doctor's office or ER for at least 30 minutes after receiving this medicine... it could really make a difference if you are allergic."

For Bacterial Infection "I have been sick for 3 weeks! 21 days of coughing green phlegm and having the worst symptoms I have ever experienced. I get sick frequently, so I decided to try to let my immune system work on its own. I've been dragging myself around, trying to deal with symptoms while still taking care of my kids. I gave in and went to urgent care this morning. I received a Rocephin injection and oral antibiotics. Within hours, I felt better."

For Bacterial Infection "I have received numerous shots, and it works like a miracle. Within a few hours, you can feel the difference. I've been given this for numerous respiratory infections. The downfall, the injection is a little painful, but it is well worth it."

For Pneumonia "I have been so sick I had an average of 104 temp. Couldn't breathe. I went to the doctor. They ran tests and X-rays, turns out I had pneumonia. They gave me two shots, a steroid, and also this. Besides my butt feeling sore, I feel so much better. I also was given antibiotics. But three hours after this shot, I can breathe without many painful short breaths."

For Lyme Disease, Neurologic "I had Lyme disease, misdiagnosed and untreated, for 12 years. By the time the wise doctor sent me out for a blood test, I was basically a vegetable. I have gone from a high-performing, athletic lifestyle, and having a very sharp wit, to being unable to care for myself, unable to read, to sit up, even to watch a TV show. I have been on IV Rocephin now for 4 1/2 months. I take 2 g every 12 hours, four days in a row each week. In addition, I take IV clindamycin, 900 mg, six days in a row each month. I also take ursodiol to prevent gallbladder failure from Rocephin. I have gone from completely bedridden and suffering unendurable agony to being semi-functional, able to care for myself, and almost able to work."

For Pneumonia "It has only been a day since my 4-month-old son was diagnosed with double lobe pneumonia. I have seen a huge difference within the past 24 hours. It's hard to believe he was sick for 3 weeks prior. We were told it was just a cold. So I took him back every few days until they finally listened to me. He ran a 103 fever for about 5 days, and it has disappeared."

For Bacterial Infection "I had a severe throat or some sort of strep infection. Where I was so sick I hadn't eaten in two days (I DO NOT miss meals). Lethargic, sinus congestion, ear pain. Weekend, so I went to urgent care, they gave me a shot of Rocephin and a steroid. I didn't stay because I'm never allergic to anything, but I did pass out after leaving (it's a very strong dose of medicine), but I was fine, passed out before. Hours later, I'm able to eat food and sleep! They put me on a round of penicillin too. Great drug!"

For Pneumonia "I wish I would have received as fast a healing as others had with Rocephin, but it still worked! I had a very severe case of pneumonia and was hospitalized for three weeks. I was given Rocephin by IV while in the hospital and four weeks at home. Although my illness was stubborn, the Rocephin did its job, and now my lung is clear of infection. I am thankful for the doctor that prescribed the medicine and those that make it."

For Urinary Tract Infection "I expressed I felt strongly I had an infection on my kidney or bladder, and after she decided to test my urine, she came back and said I made her a liar, and there was an infection still present after completing the Cipro. I was given Rocephin via IV, fluids, and CScan. Diagnosed with UTI, and the infection was in my bladder. Gave me Nitrofurantoin, and I've been sick as heck-chills, nausea, you name it! Going back and requesting Rocephin shot!"

For Urinary Tract Infection "Had been dealing with a UTI for over a week, was on two different antibiotics, and neither cleared it up. The infection had gone to my kidney, so I had a kidney infection. My back was hurting so bad I couldn't hardly walk, along with running a fever and feeling nauseous. Ended up going to the ER. They gave me the Rocephin shot and within an hour I promise I could pee without it burning, and the blood clots I was passing had stopped, so this was a miracle medicine to me. But I must add my arm is so swollen and still hurting and has a knot in it, but if I had to do it again, I would."

For Urinary Tract Infection "I had a stent put in for an obstructed kidney stone and developed a UTI. Was completely miserable, went to my local ED and was given Rocephin. I felt better by the time I was discharged. Never had an antibiotic work that fast."

For Middle Ear Infections "My son had severe ear infection and was placed on two different antibiotics. Neither worked. After having five straight days of a fever of 104 and vomiting, the doctor gave my two-year-old a shot of Rocephin, and his fever was gone by the next morning, and his ears started to clear up. Thank you to the makers of this medicine."

For Pneumonia "This shot is only given at a medical facility, urgent clinic, or hospital. Wait time after given is approximately 20 minutes to make sure there's no allergic reaction... Within a few hours, my cough was slowed down."

For Bacterial Infection "My son had an unexplained high fever (103.5) for almost 5 days. He was admitted to the hospital and was given IV Rocephin, and within 24 hrs, the fever was gone, and he was his old self again. We never quite knew what caused his fever, but whatever it was, the Rocephin worked."

For Bacterial Infection "Since I've started taking vitamins (prenatal, vitamin C, and echinacea), I don't get sick as much as I used to. Monday it started with a sore throat. The next day, still sore throat, congestion buildup. The next day, it was all a little worse. In the meantime, I was taking Mucinex (with no relief). The next day, I felt like I was on my deathbed. I had a headache that started at lunch Wednesday, it was full force the next morning. I had dizzy spells throughout the day. Started DayQuil and ibuprofen on top of that. No relief whatsoever. I was coughing up yellow gunk. Blowing out yellow gunk. Went to the doctor. Begged for any shot. He gave me this last night. Huge difference. My headache is gone, congestion is at ease. I feel like a whole different person. He also gave me two other antibiotics. I will take that shot again if I need to."

For Urinary Tract Infection "I went to Convenient Care late this morning. I have been having problems with urinating all week. I was running to the bathroom with extreme urgency to pee every 15 minutes or so, only to urinate a small amount. My back had started hurting in a different area than usual a few days ago, and yesterday my legs ached so badly I could barely stand it. I was nauseated also. Anyways, at the Convenient Care, they checked me in, and I had a temperature. They asked for a urine sample, so I gave them one. All morning I have been passing small clot-like mucous pieces of blood while urinating. I have never had an injection before for my bladder infections, but this morning I received my first Rocephin. I had it around noon, and by 4:30, I was already starting to feel better! They also gave me Cipro for 10 days, so I hope that doesn’t make me feel too sick because I’m feeling a lot better right now. Still achy, but not burning when I urinate."

For Bacterial Infection "When I get sick, within 24 hrs, it goes into infection. This is the only shot that is strong enough to help the infection. My immune system cannot fight for me anymore and win, I only wish the shot had cured this infection. I had one on Thursday, and after the injection at the dr office, within 8 hrs, all of the symptoms went away but came back 3 days later, so I have to go back again today."

For Bacterial Infection "Had a horrible cough for 7 days, with varying colors of sputum. Went from green to yellow to frothy white. At day 5, I had diarrhea and loss of appetite. I was weak and fragile, lethargic and dehydrated. Went into an urgent care walk-in, was swabbed for strep - came back false positive since it had been 7 days already. Doctor checked my throat, it was a harsh red, with inflammation and swelling. Given a shot of Rocephin to jumpstart my antibiotic treatments. Shot was painless for me. I feel better after a few hours, still have some throat and cough, but overall, I'm regaining my energy and my appetite."

For Pneumonia "Came down with what seemed like a bad bout of influenza on a Friday night. Absent from work Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday and my cough is dry, chest heavy, gurgling sound in my chest. I thought it was wheezing, but that sound didn't go away even after inhalers. I regret returning to work on Wednesday, but I've used up my sick time. Doctor gave me Rocephin on Thursday morning. By Thursday evening, I'm feeling good enough to be bored and wanting to return to work! The creators of this medicine deserve a Nobel Prize!"

For Bacterial Infection "I received 1 gram in each hip once per week for 3 weeks to knock out an infection I had. It's been a month since my last injection. I think I can still feel the 6 lumps in my hips, but it knocked out the infection."

For Pneumonia "I rate this low because I am an exception. Within 3 minutes of my shot, I had a severe reaction, and it took excellent medical intervention to save me. I have never had any allergic reaction to any food, product, or medicine prior to this shot. I am informed this is an excellent drug, however, do not take this shot without the first being at a clinic or other medical setting."

For Bacterial Infection "My son had an infection and a virus at the same time. Had a fever of 104.02 at its highest for over ten days. One shot of this and within one day, he was almost completely his old self. It was painful to get the shot, but the results were well worth it."

For Bacterial Infection "My 13-month-old son had been battling ear infections for 8 weeks. He was placed on an oral antibiotic, and within a week of finishing them, it would return. I looked up home remedies and tried them all. Hesitated to put him on another round due to my 5-year-old having C. diff because of taking too much antibiotics. (If you don't know what C. diff is, look it up. Very common after multiple rounds of antibiotics. Extremely painful, and ended up with an ambulance ride and 5 days in the hospital.) After no sleep and nothing working, I returned to the doctor's office and voiced my concern with antibiotics because of my daughter. They had recommended a shot of Rocephin today and to return in 2 days for another one. With 5 hours, he's back to his normal self."
