For Asthma, Maintenance "Agree with the previous comments on the lack of effectiveness. Though, I am buying more. Doctors are now pushing for cortisone treatments while I know the asthma is not worse. I have used Ventolin for over 60 years. Though I am very suspicious of its decline in effectiveness."

For Asthma, acute "Does anyone else have feedback on using the new dose counter jacket on the puffer? I had an attack, reached for my puffer, and could not remove the cap no matter what I did. I was feeling my anxiety level rising and my chest heaving, but that cap would not come off. I have found all of the caps since are difficult to remove. I may be old, but I'm not feeble. The pharmacist was surprised how difficult it was to access the medication. I wonder if others have had any problems? Thank you."

For Asthma, acute "Ventolin is a good product. Actually, it makes me feel relieved whenever asthma hits me. I take 2-3 puffs, and after a short span of time, I can breathe easily already. But I would like a Ventolin that doesn't need to be refilled because it's so pricey that sometimes I have to sacrifice some things in order to prevent my asthma from hitting me from time to time. I would really appreciate it if someone innovates this kind of product."

For Asthma, acute "The new Ventolin with the counter is no good. They don’t relieve my symptoms at all, and it feels like not enough is released. After that, I’ve had to go to the hospital a few times with difficulties breathing, where the Ventolin would relieve me in the past."

For Asthma, Maintenance "Have used Ventolin for 40 years or more, but find these days it is only fully effective when new. Keep it in your pocket for a while, and its effectiveness is reduced. I have just discarded one I have been carrying, which still has 95 puffs remaining (Exp 01 2024), as it simply didn't work. I took a new one from the fridge, and it works fine."

For Asthma, Maintenance "I’ve been using Ventolin for as long as I can remember. I’ve been diagnosed with asthma and have been struggling with it since I was a child. Ventolin is the one medication I carry with me everywhere. I use it pretty much on a daily basis. I’ve never had issues with it not working and it has always worked instantly upon use. The very few times I’ve not had it on me have been very difficult as I’d have to try and maintain my own breath work and try and keep the airflow going through me (which if you have asthma you know is nearly impossible to do). It takes a really long time for my body to be able to replenish itself without Ventolin, which honestly depending on the situation can be really scary and stressful and sometimes even painful. It’s always been very easy to use and it’s easy to get (over the counter) and is actually surprisingly cheap. It lasts me quite a while."

For Asthma, acute "Have been using countered dose for the last few months. Yes, I rinse it. Even when it was brand new. The countered doses do not work. I found an old expired one without a countered dose and got instant relief. Horrified by how bad the countered dose ones are. Use a preventer countered dose for Flixotide, and that is not as bad, can still feel the dose being delivered."

For Asthma, acute "I find it very peculiar that so many are now saying that this drug isn't as effective as it used to be and it causes problems. I have used Ventolin for 25 years. It never made me dizzy. Now, in the last 2 years, there has been a warning label for dizziness. Now I get dizzy. GSK needs to be investigated. Something is very wrong here."
