For Asthma, acute "OMG, I have used ProAir for many years. Works great. I just had a refill and received a new inhaler, I assumed it was just new packaging. It's from Perrigo. Keeps clogging, doesn't work to open my airways at all. Just gives me a major headache. I've had to keep my nebulizer at the ready and hope it helps. Last night, I called the ambulance and went to the ER. This is a flawed product that will finish off someone's life. Refuse it at the pharmacy."

For Asthma, acute "I have always used Ventolin inhalers with great success and no side effects. My insurance switched me to a Teva Pharmaceuticals HFA inhaler, and it is terrible and dangerous. After two days, I stopped and told my doctor I would pay out of pocket if necessary to go back to Ventolin. The Teva inhaler filled up my mouth with medicine, not my lungs, then made me immediately cough violently, so even the little medicine that may have made it to my lungs did not stay there for the required ten seconds. On top of that, the medicine gave me a terrible headache and a bad taste in my mouth."

Albuterol for Asthma, acute "I took Proventil for my asthma, but it caused me to experience heart palpitations, headaches, muscle pain in my neck and shoulders, and anxiety. These side effects lasted for several days and began approximately 12 hours after my first puff. It was a horrible and scary experience. I will never take Proventil again."

For Asthma, Maintenance "About a month ago, my doctor put me on a dosage of 2 puffs of albuterol just before bedtime, or every 6 hours as needed. I do not know if I am suffering from asthma or bronchitis. I have had this wheezing for a whole year now after I got a bad throat infection. I am never out of breath; however, it helps open my airways at night, and the wheezing tends to subside. It also helps me cough out any phlegm that I might have, hence less wheezing when sleeping. The negative side effects: upper arm pain, muscle spasms, light headache. So far, I haven’t had any problems dismantling the canister off for cleaning, which I put under running warm water. Then I just shake it out to dry."

For Asthma, acute "My experience seems that the device does not spray well. It's the worst thing ever!!! Still don't get relief. After two sprays, I get a massive headache."

For Asthma, Maintenance "Started using albuterol inhalers about three years ago. Seemed to work fine, but over time I noticed I was having certain neurological issues: trembling, lack of coordination, headaches, random pains, lack of concentration, and other symptoms. Had a complete battery of neurological tests, and nothing was found. Quit using the albuterol inhaler, and the symptoms went away gradually after a few weeks. Has anyone else seen these kinds of symptoms?"
