Albuterol for Asthma, acute "I can't believe I suffered so long before I went to the doctor and he prescribed Ventolin to me. It has made my breathing so much easier. The only negatives at all are sometimes I'm dizzy for a while after using it, but that's to be expected."

Albuterol for COPD, Maintenance "Took regular for about 3 weeks. Started severe muscle cramps, bone pain, cough, sputum production, sleeplessness, voice change, spinning sensation, blurred vision, respiratory infection. Stopped about 2 months. Still having severe muscle cramps and bone pain. How long will this last? Could it have lowered creatine kinase, potassium, or magnesium."

For Asthma, Maintenance "My husband started using the Perrigo Albuterol Sulfate, which is the generic brand for ProAir. This product is dangerous! He has experienced 8 of the 15 major side effects of this inhaler: dizziness, muscle soreness, severe chest pains to where we thought he was having a heart attack and went to the hospital, throat dryness and soreness, body shaking (tremors), and he was very cold but had no fever. Please, please do not use this inhaler!"

For Asthma, Maintenance "Started using albuterol inhalers about three years ago. Seemed to work fine, but over time I noticed I was having certain neurological issues: trembling, lack of coordination, headaches, random pains, lack of concentration, and other symptoms. Had a complete battery of neurological tests, and nothing was found. Quit using the albuterol inhaler, and the symptoms went away gradually after a few weeks. Has anyone else seen these kinds of symptoms?"

Albuterol for Asthma, acute "I find it very peculiar that so many are now saying that this drug isn't as effective as it used to be and it causes problems. I have used Ventolin for 25 years. It never made me dizzy. Now, in the last 2 years, there has been a warning label for dizziness. Now I get dizzy. GSK needs to be investigated. Something is very wrong here."

Albuterol for Asthma, Maintenance "Ventolin has always worked like a charm for my issue. Helps my breathing improve fairly quickly, I highly recommend it. Sometimes you can get dizzy, but it does not last very long."

Albuterol for Asthma, acute "I've been using Ventolin for 25 years and now it's causing dizziness. It also doesn't work like it used to. I've noticed, and clearly others have noticed that there's a problem with these inhalers. GSK needs to be investigated. I don't get these effects from a nebulizer."
