For Chronic Pain "3 back surgeries resulting in severe chronic pain. I have been taking Percocet 5/325 for over 10 years. 2 to 3 tabs daily, and it enables me to do gardening, lawn care, and other chores around the house. It really allows me to do more and have a better quality of life."

For Chronic Pain "As someone constantly in pain from sports injuries and just general pain from working out 4-5 times a week, minor sciatic recurring pain in my legs, and with no options to discontinue my weekly workout routine, Percocet is perfect. Never has Percocet made me loopy, stupid, tired, or out of control. In fact, I feel more energy when I take Percocet, and I am able to not only make it to the gym but get a much more effective workout. As a 36-year-old with very low-level high blood pressure concerns, family history of heart problems, family obesity history, a history of being overweight myself, and adult ADHD, I have no choice but to workout! Percocet allows me to do so, while working and living a normal life. Thank you, Percocet."

For Pain "Whenever I am in pain, this is my go-to medication. I have a back, shoulder, neck, and foot injury and by rights should be on this medicine for chronic pain. For right now, I only take it very rarely so that it works when needed, to avoid a tolerance. Because I am not working, I am able to deal with the pain, however, when I go back to work, I will most likely have to go on this medication or a similar one full-time. The only thing I do not like is the fact that many of these narcotic pain medications contain Tylenol, aspirin, or ibuprofen, which makes your kidneys, liver, and other organs go through unnecessary stresses. I prefer it to be just oxycodone, and if I need the synergy of Tylenol, I can add it on my own."

For Chronic Pain "My experience began when I was a child. I had very strange headaches, eventually diagnosed as 'ice pick migraines'. They had all the symptoms of the normal migraine you hear about, except they were so painful, my feet would draw up, my eyes would roll back, and I went almost stiff from the pain... nothing helped. When I hit my thirties, I started having issues with my spine, my pancreas, and my kidneys. Percocet is the only therapy out there that keeps me from wanting to die. My blood is thinner, and I have issues, as stated, with my pancreas and stomach, so I cannot take OTC drugs, they make me sick. Very sick. But, of course, no one believes that until they see what happens to me. It's kind of a living hell. I say if we can help, help."

For Chronic Pain "I have arthritis in most joints, especially in spine, degenerative disc disease & now spondylolisthesis (vertebrae slipping onto next vertebrae - bone against bone). MD just upped my Opana from 10 to 20 mg, 5mg Xanax 3x a day to calm me (no change) & switched from Oxy IR 10mg 6-8 hrs to Percocet 7.5 6-8 hrs due to pain increase. What a difference! I feel able to do the things I like/need to do. Advice to anyone taking narcotics - do NOT mix with alcohol - you'll overdose, don't take more than directions - you'll just build tolerance & they won't work. If your medicine stops working as mine did, don't take more, tell your Doc, a different combination can change everything!"

For Chronic Pain "I have been on Percocet for 16 years. I started out with low-grade Vicodin. I have taken the name brand with no problems. When they switched me to generic, I had some problems with the way they affected me, they didn't seem to work as well. But when they switched the generic brand to another generic brand, I had an upset stomach and a very bad rash. Sometimes you have to take the name brand instead of generics, even though they say the generics are the same, they are not. I could tell the difference, but I have tried OxyContin and had a very bad itching and a rash, so I guess I'm stuck on them. I have days I take more than I'm supposed to in the morning and do without later, but the pain is so bad it's almost suicidal."

For Chronic Pain "I have many spine health issues and, as a result, experience the joys of chronic back pain. This medicine works well for moderate pain for me. I did build up a tolerance for it pretty quickly, however, which is typical for any pain medicine. Bad side effects I experienced were debilitating nausea and hot flashes when it was taken on an empty stomach. Also, the all-over 'itchies' when I first started taking the medicine. Both of these can be prevented by eating with the medicine and taking an antihistamine with it."

For Pain "This medication was a lifesaver after cancer surgery. I took one pill every six hours as needed, 10/325. I was able to sleep, walk, and eat after surgery. I am not taking it anymore, my doctor gave me sixty. I have thirty left, I will use those if I ever need them again."

For Pain "Have battled post-traumatic osteoarthritis for years. Over-the-counter medicines not too effective and I have been through all of the other classes of prescription pain relievers. My doctor prescribed Nucynta (synthetic opioid), made me feel tired and most of the pain was still present. Finally switched me to Percocet, it is absolutely amazing. Although there is some pain occasionally, for the most part it is gone, and I have much more energy and my depression has lifted. I have also found that most doctors resist prescribing it and take you through round after round of various pain medicines. With Percocet, I found that it works, and I can finally take control of my pain. My days are filled with more vitality and enthusiasm."

For Pain "I am a 26-year-old woman and I have 2 kids. I was in a really bad wreck in December 2006. I was rear-ended at 55 mph while I was sitting still in a construction zone. My doctor put me on Percocet for the neck and back pain. It felt like a wonder drug to me. I have had a lot of medical problems in my life, and I still do, it has been one surgery after another, and Percocet is the best pain medication that I have ever taken. Percocet is the best."

For Pain "Taking 5/325 acetaminophen & oxycodone every 6 hrs for intense tooth pain after oral surgery. Had never taken an opioid before, this was truly a lifesaver for me. Took my pain from a 10 to a 3. Also taking 3 Ibuprofen every 6 hrs (alternating). My doc says if pain is brutal, I can go to 10 mg every 6 hrs, that's 2 pills. I'm trying to avoid that, but suffice to say this stuff works quite well for me. Pop a stool softener once in a while."

For Chronic Pain "I'm 51 years old and have been dealing with chronic pain for the last 20 years. I was put on MS Contin 60mg three times a day, it's long-lasting, but pain still comes through. The doctor added 10/325 Percocet for breakthrough pain. It made my life livable. I give it a 10."

For Chronic Pain "After breaking my back and being rated disabled because of the permanent nerve damage and constant pain, this is the only prescription that helps me lead as close to a normal life as possible. I have tried several other options, and none have been effective. I was told to get in the best shape of my life and stay like that, so I am, but that just keeps me at a certain level of comfort. I hate being stereotyped into a group of users, I am not a user. When I have gone several weeks without it, day-to-day tasks are incredibly difficult. Being a college student, having my prescription is the only way I can sit and study. It allows me to put the pain in the back of everything and concentrate on studying. I do make sure I am not addicted."

For Pain "To anyone who has used or will use Percocet, for the nausea, have your doctor put you on a pill called Zofran. This will help with the nausea. They give it to cancer patients for vomiting. I am a huge believer in the mental help Percocet gives as well as the pain management. Had gallbladder surgery in May 09, and after trying Vicodin, Oxycontin, Dilaudid, Ultram, Percocet was the ONLY one that helped me with the pain. Eat before taking and drink plenty of fluids. This will cause severe constipation, so a stool softener may be needed. Best medicine I have ever taken."

For Pain "I have really bad back pain, and at such a young age, I take Percocet four times a day, and it allows me to sleep and work, whereas other medications just made my stomach upset. I would rate it a 9 for the relief it gives you. I honestly felt like I could not function anymore, I was in so much pain, and now I enjoy walking. I don't have to stop every 10 minutes to catch my breath from my pain."

For Chronic Pain "I took Percocet for several years, then stopped, and just got back onto it but with a different CO. It was like it had no active ingredients, and it made me hyper and made me lose sleep. No good, like the company made fake pills."

For Chronic Pain "I have had migraines for over 25 years, as well as fibromyalgia. I take Percocet 5-325, which has been the only thing that keeps me a person, not just hiding in my room from the pain. However, I have started to notice that I have needed to take 2 pills every 4-6 hours instead of just one. But this pill has been a lifesaver."

For Pain "I find when I do take Percocet for my back problems, they really help. Stopping taking them when I'm not in pain was an issue also. For the withdrawal, I would take a few Tylenol #2 or #3. Really helped. After a week, it was all good and not much withdrawal at all."

For Pain "I was recently put on Percocet for back problems. I have periods of feeling bad, but once I take 10/325, it really helps with the pain. Still having issues with waking up in the middle of the night. I actually can live a normal life now without being in misery."

For Pain "I have been taking it for more than twenty years, and it has been a lifesaver. I had a spinal cord injury, with a brain stem injury in 1998. Since then, I take Morphine Sulfate three times a day, 30 mg, as well as the Percocet, 10/325, and am allowed 4 per day. Sometimes it's hard to make it through the month. Sometimes I don't have enough to make it through the month!"

For Chronic Pain "Short-term, OK for pain. Would not want to take long term. I am a cancer survivor, and most of my body hurts all the time. I have yet to find a pain medicine that is safe, effective, and non-addictive that helps with this side effect of massive amounts of chemo. It's been 6 years, and I've been living in pain every day. I understand why Colorado and California legalize marijuana. I don't smoke pot, I used to. But if someone comes over with a joint, I may take a hit, and I will say that marijuana does help the pain. I would not want to use it as a recreational drug, but it does help the pain better than any opiate that I've ever taken."

For Pain "I have fibromyalgia and for the past year, I've been struggling with pain. My doctor was very hesitant about giving me Percocet, being that I am only 22 and was without diagnosis for a while, but after being diagnosed, has given it to me without a problem. It works wonders, and although it doesn't last as long as I would prefer it to, it makes it so that I can resume some normal activity. My life is back for the most part."

For Pain "Ok, so you probably want to take this with food. It made me EXTREMELY nauseous when I didn't. Works well for pain. While many pain meds make a person sleepy, this one has the complete opposite effect on me. It made me extremely energetic/hyper. I had overwhelming urges to 'spring clean' the house, garage, and do things I had been putting off. The downside of that, however, is it interferes with my sleep, and I can't take it at bedtime. It's ok for daytime pain for me."

For Pain "I'm 19 years old, play college football, and this medication really gave me my life back after battling with severe groin pain (I'm a male) from a sports injury. There were times where my pain level exceeded a level 10, and Percocet brought it down to a 3-4, a level where I can function. My doctor said it's best to take this medication before your pain gets severe. It's called 'catching up with your pain,' and really makes a difference."

For Chronic Pain "Every disc in my entire spine is damaged, all sorts of conditions with chronic pain. I've been on brand Percocet for 10+ years with a few years on the generics. The generics suck and don't do much for pain as I had to keep switching between them (so long on one and then so long on the other), but the brand Percocet does work, for me anyway. I was even reduced from 5/day to 3/day and it's still working. No addiction and no dependence, my strength is 10/325. The insurance company wants to put me on generics again, not because they care about me, it's the cost. Quality of life, along with other meds, is better but far from great. Any side effects are outweighed by how good they work without getting high."
