For Migraine "I’ve had a migraine for about 4 days now. It was helping in the beginning, but I took it and now my heart rate is skyrocketing. I feel dizzy and can’t fall asleep. I’m hoping this goes away soon, it is a very odd sensation. It kept me up all night. I just want to sleep! :("

For Migraine "I've taken Excedrin for headaches and body aches since 1972, when I was in the U.S. Army. Works very well most of the time. The only time I had a problem was many years ago, I got a bottle that must have turned bad or expired. Had a vinegar smell and caused dizziness within a short time of taking it. Advice: if the medicine has a sour smell, the aspirin content may have been altered by age or moisture, etc. Do not use."

For Migraine "I got this medication from my doctor to treat weekly migraines. However, I found that this medication has only made my migraines more frequent! If I take it one day, it’ll return the next day. I never used to wake up with headaches, but now every morning is tainted with migraine. If I can catch my headache in time, it gets rid of the headache but introduces shakiness, dizziness, and stomach pain. If I wait too long to take the medication (i.e., wake up with a full-blown migraine), then it still causes these side effects, but combined with the headache, nausea, and dizziness of migraine, I feel 10x worse. Without my headache, side effects are bearable. With it, though, I really just want to blink out of existence. Take with caution or avoid altogether. My migraine days have increased 7-fold since taking this medication."

For Migraine "Do NOT take if you are even the slightest sensitive to caffeine or have anxiety. I took 2 pills, and almost immediately after, I experienced the worst brain fog, dizziness, and hand numbness. I had a friend rush me to urgent care because it felt like a near-death experience. It was the scariest thing that had ever happened to me."

For Pain/Fever "I started taking Excedrin Extra Strength just every morning for pain. I ran out of my regular over-the-counter pain medicine. After taking this for 3 days in a row, I started having rapid heart rate and palpitations, lethargy, and the ringing in my ear got a lot worse. I already have tinnitus and vertigo along with Meniere's disease. I was nauseated, shaking, and dizzy. All these side effects made it hard to even sit up or do much of anything. Definitely a bad reaction. It did help with the everyday pain I have when I wake up, but not worth taking with the side effects. I believe it's a possible allergic reaction."

For Migraine "I'm a 44 yr old female who rarely got headaches except for occasional sinus headache. But for over a year now, something in my body has changed-with persistent pain on top and back of head, with vertigo and tinnitus. I'm not a pill popper and avoid even OTC drugs as much as possible. However, these horrible migraines have had me reaching for Advil in all forms, Tylenol, and Excedrin. Excedrin Migraine has been the ONLY pill that works. I take just one. I feel the tightness and wrenching/throbbing dissipate within 15 mins. For me, the benefits last into the next day! Just one pill! I will feel a slight pang of pain every couple of hours, for a few seconds, but 95% of the pain is gone. (I'm working on the vertigo/tinnitus)"

For Migraine "I woke up with a migraine and took this, it dulled it but never went fully away. When I was able to take my next dose, I did. Soon after, my vision started to blur, my face was flushed, I felt light-headed, dizzy, the room was spinning, my heart was racing (over 180 bpm! Well over that), and I felt like I was about to pass out. Turns out it was a reaction to the caffeine in this. I am not a caffeine-free person and had never had this experience before, but the doctor said the caffeine is a high dose in this. I now take Aleve or Maxalt for bad migraines, no issues."

For Migraine "I'm actually 18, and I get migraines all the time. I loved it when I first started using it because it'll work in like 10 minutes. I'm weird because I'd get a dizzy feeling when I first took it, but it wasn't bad. Now, lately, it hasn't been doing anything. I was really looking forward to taking Excedrin every time I had pain, but I'll still continue using it to see if there still will be any progress. Huh, I actually started thinking my migraines are just too strong for Excedrin."

For Migraine "I have severe migraines at least twice a week and a constant headache the rest of the time, likely having something to do with previous concussions and head injuries. No amount of OTC drugs or combinations have seemed to help, and neither have any other at-home headache/migraine treatments. Excedrin migraine does relieve some of the headache pain but intensifies a lot of my other symptoms to the point where it is not worth it. Within an hour of taking it, I end up disoriented and quite dizzy, the dizziness being normal for my migraines but once again intensified when I take Excedrin."

For Migraine "I can no longer take this medicine because it throws me into horrible anxiety attacks that mess with my blood pressure, make me dizzy, lightheaded, and lethargic. Not to mention, an overall FEAR I am dying. These do get rid of the migraine for me, but the effects are just not worth it. I used to be able to take it with no problem, but not anymore. The anxiety, high blood pressure, and overall feeling of dying caused me to trash them so the temptation would not be there to subject myself to them anymore. I'm going to have to find another way of dealing with the headaches. Everyone is different, what their bodies can tolerate varies."
