Acetaminophen / aspirin / caffeine "As with most reviews I read, I am a loyal Goody's user for as long as I remember, let's just say 20++ years. I do not like the new packaging, all of the medication does not come out. You have to tap, wiggle, and shake the package, and then you end up wearing part of it. I don't use them now half as much as I did. I have changed to Tylenol for the most part, you get a full dose without the mess. Please change the packaging back to the original."

Acetaminophen / aspirin / caffeine "I was actually recommended this brand for a really bad toothache, since ibuprofen and other aspirins seemed to have no effect on me. I had instant relief within only 15 minutes, and I could no longer feel the throbbing pain from the infected tooth."

Acetaminophen / aspirin / caffeine "I started taking Excedrin Extra Strength just every morning for pain. I ran out of my regular over-the-counter pain medicine. After taking this for 3 days in a row, I started having rapid heart rate and palpitations, lethargy, and the ringing in my ear got a lot worse. I already have tinnitus and vertigo along with Meniere's disease. I was nauseated, shaking, and dizzy. All these side effects made it hard to even sit up or do much of anything. Definitely a bad reaction. It did help with the everyday pain I have when I wake up, but not worth taking with the side effects. I believe it's a possible allergic reaction."

Acetaminophen / aspirin / caffeine "I had to stop taking Goody's due to irritation of my throat. I can't take it at all on my tongue, but I can get it down if I dissolve it in water. I immediately get a reaction in my throat and cough for five minutes. I suffer from acid reflux, and maybe that is the problem. If I am right, that should be listed as a side effect or warning. I wish I could tolerate it because it does the job."

Acetaminophen / aspirin / caffeine "I've taken Goody's Powers and BC Powers off and on for decades. It really does work! It's bad for the stomach, but most all these medicines/drugs/prescriptions are bad for the stomach. It works quickly and effectively. Within 20 minutes or less, you will feel the pain subside. I prefer it over the bottles of headache meds. It would be nice if it came in the form of tablets, capsules, or even gels. If wanting to try, just put the powder on the back of your tongue and swallow with a glass of sweet tea or juice. It makes it bearable for those that don't like the taste or can't stand it. I usually drink water, but I'm accustomed to it. That reminds me, there's Standback Powers also. Try not to take more than is actually needed... less is better."

Acetaminophen / aspirin / caffeine "Orange Goody's is my one and only choice for headaches. The taste is so good I can almost say I like it. I have such a hard time finding the 24-pack boxes I had to start ordering them online. I did notice the amount of powder in each packet seems to have decreased a little bit, but so far it seems to still be effective, it just takes a bit longer. Nothing works as well as the orange for me. I've tried the other flavors, and they didn't work as well for me. I'll never use anything else, and I always recommend them to everybody. Why wait 30 minutes or more for some tablet to work when in literally 10 minutes Goody's will knock the pain out? I'm hooked. And after 9 years, no side effects yet."

Acetaminophen / aspirin / caffeine "Wow! So many people with the same complaint. I hope the company is listening. I actually sought out a review board because the new packaging is just so bad. I also tried emailing the company and got no reply. Definitely feels like you get less product and half of what you do gets stuck in the corners. I'm begging this company to go back to the old packaging."

Acetaminophen / aspirin / caffeine "It does work beautifully to relieve awful headaches, but the side effects are enough to make me use this medicine only as a last resort. The aspirin in it gives me nosebleeds and bruises, and the caffeine, while not a lot at 65 mg, hits me much harder than caffeine from coffee for some reason."

Acetaminophen / aspirin / caffeine "I do not like the new Goody powder on-the-go pack. I can't get all the powder out of it unless I tear it down the side, like taking the original Goody powder. I also can't put the pack in my back pocket, so anyway, I have been taking Goody powders for 28 years, and now I have swapped to taking aspirin or Tylenol."

Acetaminophen / aspirin / caffeine "I love this medication, Excedrin Extra Strength. I take it for migraines, fever, pain, and colds or flu. It has worked wonders. In 20 minutes, I'm already feeling the pill work. If it's with fever, it makes you sweat like crazy. The fever it takes away pain, and it gives me the energy to do things, even if I have a killer cold."

Acetaminophen / aspirin / caffeine "I have used it for at least 15 years with excellent results for head and body aches. The Extra Strength is great in the morning since I don't drink coffee. It relieves the morning body aches and gives you a perk up. I use the Back and Body at night. There's no caffeine, and you don't get the 'side effects' of evening medications. The only drawback is occasional stomach bleeding (evident in stools) and occasional heartburn. Works better than Vicodin for me."

Acetaminophen / aspirin / caffeine "This is an amazing drug for knocking out flu aches for around 4 hours or so. I only take one caplet as I'm concerned about the potential liver and heart damage from NSAIDs. I approached this medicine very carefully, but nothing works quite as well! I made sure to eat a little food with it even though I wasn't hungry. A pleasant effect was that after it kicked in, I was much more interested in eating, which I think is important for healing."

"Not too many drugs have an effect on me. Except for this one. Psychological, IDK. I, on occasion, will get a headache about 3 or 4 a month due to hormones, and within 3 minutes, the headache is gone. I take two pills. It feels great after. A burden off of my shoulders. Cheap too. 88 cents for 30 pills."

I understand that companies are always looking for ways to cut costs, but with this packaging, you're losing valued customers. And I also agree with one of the other writers, there is less product - can't be for certain but that little thin pack cannot hold the same amount as the old package."

I understood why they charged the same amount for the better packaging, but once they switched, they needed to add the same amount in the box as the original Goody's. Not fair!!!"

Acetaminophen / aspirin / caffeine "Used this for TMJ pain instead of narcotics. Relief comes fast. The only OTC that works: Excedrin. I have used generic brands from Wal-Mart, Walgreens, or Meijer brands of Excedrin too. All are great. I go by cost and coupons. Tylenol alone does nothing. Advil works sometimes but causes stomach irritation. Excedrin can cause a spike in blood pressure, which is monitored. My endocrinologist monitors but approves Excedrin."

Acetaminophen / aspirin / caffeine "Have been using Goody’s Extra Strength Headache Powders for over 20 years, and it was always super effective. This new packaging stinks. Who on earth thought that this was a good idea? It is terrible. The product gets stuck in the bottom and along the sides of the packet and does not flow out completely. The old packet was more waxed and allowed a complete emptying onto the back of the throat, which minimized bitterness. This is just plain dumb. This was not broken and didn’t need to be tampered with. Some millennial came up with this stupid idea that does nothing but make the experience worse! Return to the previous packets, dummies!!!"

Acetaminophen / aspirin / caffeine "Because I have a Morena birth control, headaches are a side effect and can be as painful as a migraine. I ran out of ibuprofen, so my husband told me to get more but try Excedrin. My headache was gone within 30 minutes, and I had energy. I'm never going back to ibuprofen again. Plus, 4 hours later, my headache is still gone, no need to pop more pills!"

Acetaminophen / aspirin / caffeine "I have a broken wisdom tooth, and for the past 2 weeks I've been in almost unbearable pain at points. Ibuprofen, Tylenol, etc. never even touched the pain. Ice would numb it. But a friend suggested Excedrin, and I took it, and within 15 mins my pain was gone. It is amazing. I didn't think anything would even remotely help it outside of a dentist visit, and lo and behold, this medicine is amazing. I can function like a normal human being again until I can get into my dentist. Highly recommend."
