Abatacept "I liked this drug although it didn't stop my wrist pain. I had weekly injections and besides some issues with fatigue and diarrhea, it was pretty good. I was taking it with Plaquenil as well. My rheumatologist has switched me to Rinvoq, so we will have to see. Rinvoq has poor reviews, so I am a little scared."

Abatacept "I started Orencia four weeks ago after Humira and Enbrel did nothing for me. I'm taking it with methotrexate. I get hit with nausea and diarrhea for like a day or two after my dose. I've had a flare for the past two months now, and I really need this stuff to start working."

"I was diagnosed with RA at age 40. The doctor had me on Plaquenil and anti-inflammatories for years. The RA went into remission for several years but came roaring back at age 62. The doctor put me again on Plaquenil, Celebrex, and prednisone, which put a lot of weight on, with little relief of pain, swelling, and fingers/wrists starting to get deformed. Then she added Methotrexate, which caused my legs to swell and skin bruising. Moved to Florida and found a wonderful rheumatologist that put me on monthly Orencia infusions. Let me tell you, Orencia has been a game changer for me. I have no side effects, and after 5 months, the swelling and pain are gone. I can go to the gym, play golf, hike, and bike. Thank you, Orencia! I have my life back."
