What is Sudogest PE?
Sudogest PE is used to treat stuffy nose, sinus congestion and pressure caused by the common cold, hay fever, or other allergies for a short time.
Sudogest PE may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Sudogest PE side effects
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficult breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Sudogest PE may cause serious side effects. Stop using Sudogest PE and call your doctor at once if you have:

dizziness;
-
nervousness; or
-
sleep problems (insomnia).

Do not use Sudogest PE if you have used an MAO inhibitor in the past 14 days, such as isocarboxazid, linezolid, methylene blue injection, phenelzine, and tranylcypromine.
Before taking this medicine
Do not use Sudogest PE if you have used an MAO inhibitor in the past 14 days. A dangerous drug interaction could occur. MAO inhibitors include isocarboxazid, linezolid, methylene blue injection, phenelzine, and tranylcypromine. Wait at least 14 days after stopping an MAO inhibitor before you take this medicine.
You should not use Sudogest PE if you are allergic to it.
Ask a doctor or pharmacist if this medicine is safe to use if you have or have ever had:

a thyroid disorder;
-
urination problems due to an enlarged prostate; or
-
if you are on a low-salt diet.
Ask a doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Do not give this medicine to a child without medical advice.
How should I take Sudogest PE?
Use exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor. Cold medicine is only for short-term use.
Follow all directions when giving Sudogest PE to a child.
Measure liquid medicine with the supplied measuring device (not a kitchen spoon).
Your dose needs may change if you switch to a different brand, strength, or form of this medicine. Avoid medication errors by using exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor.
Do not take more than your recommended dose of this medicine.
Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve after 7 days or if you have a fever.
Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat. Store the liquid medicine in the outer carton, protect from light.
What happens if I miss a dose?
Sudogest PE is used when needed. If you are on a dosing schedule, skip any missed dose. Do not use two doses at one time.
What happens if I overdose?
Seek emergency medical attention or call the Poison Help line at 1-800-222-1222.
What should I avoid while taking Sudogest PE?
Ask a doctor or pharmacist before taking other cough or cold medicines that may contain similar ingredients.
What other drugs will affect Sudogest PE?
Many drugs can affect Sudogest PE, and some drugs should not be used at the same time. Tell your doctor about all your current medicines and any medicine you start or stop using.
