For Migraine: This the only triptin medication that has not cause me rapid heart beat. And has saved me countless visits to the emergency room. |
5.4
For Migraine: My doctor gave me a sample of Ubrelvy as a treatment for when a migraine were to occur. On the plus side I started feeling relief in about 90 mins. It was early evening so I went to sleep. Woke up around 3:30 am and I was no longer in pain, but I was sweating with the feeling of the room spinning. My mouth was very dry, and I was feeling nausea. After dry-heaving a bunch, I drank half a bottle of water. Vomited that up not long after. The plus side is the pill seemed to help with the headache, but was the side effects worth it? I’m on the fence about trying another dosage for future migraine. For Migraine: If your migraine wasn’t already going to make you vomit, this medication DEFINITELY will. I took the lowest dose of the two dosing options and still had severe nausea, not even ODT zofran could knock it out (on top of Bonine which is a dissolvable meclizine). The lower dose was not enough to knock out my migraine, disappointing given the severe nausea side effect. I haven’t tried a higher dose because vomiting is nearly as miserable as the pain for me, plus nausea and vomiting GIVE me a headache. Failure for me. |

For Migraine: I have suffered with migraine since I was 12 yr old, and I'm now in my 50's. I've had every head exam and test possible as well as tried a myriad of medications over the years for treatment. From taking preventive type things daily to treating the pain only during the headache. Nothing has given me the swift relief as this drug. It seems to give me complete relief within 30-40 minutes, without any side effects (that I've noticed). I took immitrex for years with little relief and horrible side effects. It would make me feel dizzy, weird and always made me nauseous. So I stopped taking it. Now with the Maxalt, I'm thrilled to know I can take it without worry of unwanted side effect. Thank you Maxalt! Finally migraine relief!
