For Migraine "I have suffered with migraine since I was 12 years old, and I'm now in my 50s. I've had every head exam and test possible, as well as tried a myriad of medications over the years for treatment. From taking preventive type things daily to treating the pain only during the headache. Nothing has given me the swift relief as this drug. It seems to give me complete relief within 30-40 minutes, without any side effects (that I've noticed). I took Imitrex for years with little relief and horrible side effects. It would make me feel dizzy, weird, and always made me nauseous. So I stopped taking it. Now with the Maxalt, I'm thrilled to know I can take it without worry of unwanted side effects. Thank you, Maxalt! Finally, migraine relief!"

For Migraine "Maxalt made me very, very ill. It was to replace Imitrex, which makes me ill too, but better than this any day! Dizzy, drowsy, nauseated, hot flashes, so tired I can't keep my eyes open and numb. My feet go numb and my hands. It's horrible, and the headache returns in about 5 hours. Do not recommend if you are sensitive to medications!"

For Migraine "Maxalt is a lifesaver. I have been using this med for 7 years. Most times, I have to take 2 pills within 24 hours. My problem is I wait and hope my headache won't turn into a migraine. Then, when it is a migraine, I take the pill. By then, it takes hours for the migraine and aura to break. The side effects I can deal with: tiredness, mild nausea, and some dizziness. I recommend Maxalt to anyone who can benefit from it."

For Migraine "I was prescribed this medication because I was experiencing severe migraines multiple times a month. After taking the medication, I usually have to take another pill an hour later, and my headache symptoms will go away. It makes me very sleepy and gives me slight chest pain that feels like heartburn. If I don't rest right after taking it, the headache still goes away, but I get severe nausea, dizziness, and tightness in my chest. The side effects eventually go away, but they are awful while they are occurring. The trade-off of headache and side effects doesn't seem really worth it to me, but that's just my opinion."

For Migraine "I've had headaches since I was little, but once I got to college, they progressed into intense migraines. I tried Imitrex and other various painkilling drugs without any relief. I am so thankful my doctor prescribed this drug. It's been the only lifesaving relief from my migraines, which include nausea, excruciating pain, sensitivity to light, sound, and motion, as well as dizziness. I take a Maxalt along with a 200 mg Celebrex and 2 extra strength Tylenol as soon as I can get to it when I feel the onset of a migraine. It works in about 30 minutes, sometimes a little longer if I wait too long to take it. Anyone who is suffering, I would strongly recommend talking to your doctor, as another wrote, 'Well worth the co-pay!'"

For Migraine "I have suffered from migraines since I was 19 (now 23). My migraines were debilitating and caused me to miss a lot of school, so my doctor prescribed me Maxalt. Maxalt almost always cures my migraines within 1-2 hours! The relief is long-lasting; one dose and I am usually pain-free for an entire day. For me, side effects are infrequent and usually very minor (sleepiness, dizziness, “foggy brain”). To elaborate on the “foggy brain” side effect, post-headache I would sometimes experience a feeling of euphoria combined with a difficulty concentrating. Usually, this is not a big deal, but if I was taking an exam, it would slightly affect my performance and concentration. Overall, a great medication that has improved my quality of life!"

For Migraine "Maxalt is the only migraine medicine I have tried, and it works well for me. When I take it early (before it becomes a full-bloomed migraine), it works within maybe 30 minutes, completely getting rid of the pain. I do have some side effects: most of the time, I feel a tightening of the throat for about 15 minutes after taking it (my doctor had warned me about that), and if I happen to be a bit tired when taking it, I feel a bit dizzy for a couple of hours. But it sure beats a 24-hour migraine."

For Migraine "I have been getting migraines since I was 8 years old, and nothing seems to help. I started taking Maxalt 10 mg for a while now, and it's not effective at all. It feels like I'm taking a sugar pill. Although when I do take it, I get very dizzy. Personally, I don't recommend it, but if it helps for you, I say go for it!"

For Migraine "Maxalt works. Sometimes I still feel a pounding in my head, but it doesn't hurt. Unfortunately, it does make me insanely tired, where I cannot stay awake. Thirty minutes after taking it, if I try to stay awake, I get woozy, can't walk straight, and can't talk well. Usually resolves after two hours, but most of the time I can't stay awake and sleep for those two hours instead. Usually takes another hour for the grogginess to go away. Makes it hard to take during work hours. I will also get soreness in my muscles, which makes it difficult to work out later in the day. But hey, it works and is better than nothing!"
