For Migraine "I do not like Ubrelvy! I normally take Zomig to treat my migraines and am happy with it. Unfortunately, my insurance only allows a certain amount per month. My neurologist gave me a couple of samples of Ubrelvy to help offset the absence of Zomig. He also gave me a prescription for it. I'm very thankful I have not filled it! I used the samples this past week, and it didn't touch my migraine. In fact, I think it made it worse. I also got very nauseous, and that continued even after violently vomiting. It made me very sleepy, and I felt terrible the rest of the day. I woke up the next morning feeling very strange. I didn't have a headache but felt 'woozy' in my head. My head felt very heavy, and my eyes felt weird. Not going through that again!"

For Migraine "My neurologist gave me Ubrelvy to try for migraines, and it actually made my migraine worse, about the worst ever. In fact, I tried it three separate times to make sure it wasn't just a coincidence. It's not. I started with a migraine on a pain scale of 5, took Ubrelvy, and shortly after, my head pain shot up to a scale of 10, with extreme nausea (not normal for me). I was in miserable pain and agony, worse than any migraine would ever cause. I will never, ever take this horrible medication again."

For Migraine "This is the worst migraine medication I have tried so far, and it seems like I’ve tried them all. I took this after receiving a sample from my new neurologist, and all it did was knock me out for 6 hours when I was supposed to be working. It also made my nausea and vomiting worse, and when I woke up, my migraine was worse. I will never take this again. The side effects greatly outweigh any benefits, which to me there were absolutely no benefits to this medication. All negatives."

For Migraine "I’ve been diagnosed with cluster headaches. Ubrelvy diminished my pain after two hours, and the pain was basically gone about 15 hours later. But then, approximately 30 hours later, I was extremely nauseous, had terrible stomach cramps, and started vomiting. Six hours later, I’m only just starting to feel better, and I feel like I’m getting another headache. I’ve been using Tosymra with good results, but it causes extreme nerve pain for about 30 minutes. However, I will never take Ubrelvy again."

For Migraine "Took my first 50 mg dose and got migraine relief within an hour, but soon thereafter got nausea and a very crazy feeling. Garbled speech, trouble standing, and extreme fatigue. Tingling lips, itching, and felt like something stuck in my throat. Won't be taking this med again."

For Migraine "I love Ubrelvy! My migraines are severe and chronic. I get at least 7-8 vascular migraines a month, and they can last for days. I've taken many different drugs over the past 10 years or so. This is why I had little trouble getting insurance to pay for it. Maxalt was losing its effectiveness, not to mention the drowsiness, muscle pain, and mental fog it would cause was wearing on me. It made it difficult to go to work and drive because I was always worried about getting a migraine and either not being able to drive home or having to wait for treatment until it was too late for it to work. I feel like Ubrelvy works as good as, if not better than, Maxalt. One 100 mg pill gets rid of 7 out of 10 migraines, but it always at least eases the pain. The only side effect I get is an upset stomach if I haven't eaten anything. It can be very painful and nauseating, but food seems to do the trick for me. Once I eat, I'm good, and I can drive and treat a headache at work!"

For Migraine "Was so excited to try Ubrelvy of the CGRP group of meds after it was prescribed by my neurologist as an alternative to triptans because of my elderly age. I have suffered with migraines since I was about eight years of age. Triptans have been a real miracle treatment for me but have been fearful of stroke and complications in the elderly, so finding out about the new group of drugs was so encouraging. I took the three times 50 mg with some relief, but after trying the next 50 mg for a migraine of seven pain level, with not much relief after the 2-hour mark, I took another one, which gave me extreme nausea and vomiting all night. I might try this drug as a supplement but trust Maxalt and Frova for the pain and other symptom relief of migraine for now. Disappointed."

For Migraine "For more than thirty years, I have rarely had more than one migraine a month, usually a week before my period. Excedrin Migraine occasionally helped lessen the severity of my symptoms (nausea, intestinal distress, fatigue, light and smell sensitivity, and, of course, the feeling of a drill going through one side of my head). Recently, I began experiencing weekly migraines. After a month and a half, I asked my doctor for an Rx for Ubrelvy, which I’d heard about on TV. The next time I started to feel migraine symptoms, I took the lowest dose, one pill. An hour later, I felt a bit groggy and postdromish, but the migraine was gone. For me, truly a miracle. I have used it for three subsequent migraines, all with the same result. This is the best thing that has ever happened to me, medically speaking. Maybe it only works well for people like me, who don’t get migraines as often."

For Migraine "If your migraine wasn’t already going to make you vomit, this medication definitely will. I took the lowest dose of the two dosing options and still had severe nausea, not even ODT zofran could knock it out (on top of Bonine, which is a dissolvable meclizine). The lower dose was not enough to knock out my migraine, disappointing given the severe nausea side effect. I haven’t tried a higher dose because vomiting is nearly as miserable as the pain for me, plus nausea and vomiting give me a headache. Failure for me."

For Migraine "I’ve only taken twice (samples from my neurologist) but was told to take it at the same time I took other migraine meds at onset. For me, this is sumatriptan and ibuprofen, and when taking all at the same time, it did seem to greatly help. I don’t think taking this by itself will do much (as others have noted). I did not have any side effects (some nausea, but that is normal for me with migraine)."

For Migraine "I normally take dihydroergotamine because it doesn’t mess with my serotonin levels (Imitrex) plus anxiety meds triggered serotonin syndrome for me. So when my neurologist said Ubrelvy can be taken with my current med and without affecting serotonin, I was excited to try. 50 mg seemed to help, but I’d frequently need to take a second pill. My neurologist raised the dose to 100 mg. Both monthly supplies of 10 pills cost $10 through the drug company’s copay plan. After a few experiments, I found that Ubrelvy on its own did nothing to stop my migraine. Taking Ubrelvy with my dihydroergotamine seemed to end my migraine faster, but left me pretty nauseated. Today, I could literally feel when my body started absorbing the Ubrelvy and I rapidly became too nauseated to do anything, which was unfortunate because I was driving. I’d even taken an anti-nausea pill at the same time as the Ubrelvy, hoping to head off the nausea. I am done with Ubrelvy."

For Migraine "I've had success with Ubrelvy. I find if I take it as soon as I feel pain, it works quickly. I once took it too late, and it took hours to get pain-free, and the nausea was intense. Otherwise, it just makes me really sleepy (a welcome side effect because typically the pain is so severe I cannot sleep). My insurance denied coverage for this, but my neurologist was able to get me a year's supply. Not sure what I'll do after the year is up."

For Migraine "Ubrelvy 100 mg works amazing for me. Sumatriptan didn’t touch my migraines and made me feel super drowsy and foggy. Similar experience with Nurtec, which made me nauseated and sleepy. Oftentimes, my migraine is gone in less than 20 minutes after taking Ubrelvy. I’m so glad to have something that works and doesn’t give me side effects!"

For Migraine "I was very hopeful for Ubrelvy. I have used many migraine medicines over 20 years. Imitrex has been the only medicine that is effective in breaking the headache. But it has so many horrible side effects like neck pain, sensitive skin, painful hair, body pain, hangover headaches, and nausea. Ubrelvy worked the first 2 times I took it - with NO side effects. It appeared to be a miracle drug. I’ve taken it 14 more times, and it only broke my migraine 1/2 the time - only works 50% of the time. Unacceptable when experiencing a migraine. I would wait 4-5 hours for it to work and then have to take Imitrex when Ubrelvy didn’t work. Which means I am doubling medicine and waiting up to 5 additional hours to treat the migraine while I wait to see if the Ubrelvy will work. So disappointed and wondering why it doesn’t work every time. Back to horrible Imitrex."

For Migraine "No, no, no!! I will not take this medication, Ubrelvy, ever again. I woke up with the onset of a migraine, so I finally decided to try the sample of Ubrelvy 50 mg to see if it did anything for me. Well, after about 45 min, I went to sleep and woke up with complete nausea and diarrhea and slow thinking, and my anxiety was acting up with it. I don’t know if it was a reaction to my Prozac or other meds, but this feeling has gone on the whole day, and I will never take it again. Definitely not worth the side effects!!!!!"

For Migraine "I have been experiencing this non-stop headache (migraine) for almost two years now. Sometimes scary, sometimes bearable. I think I am getting used to living with pain. :-( When I saw the Ubrelvy commercial, I was so hopeful. I prayed it would work for me!! I took just one 50 mg tablet, and within 20 mins, I felt dizzy and nauseous. After half an hour, my usually normal blood pressure jumped. And the headache, it became much stronger. I waited for two hours (as it is required) and took my good old Extra Strength Excedrin. At least, my pain went back to my usual 4. At night and the next day, I was still dizzy and 'not myself.' Something is not right with this Ubrelvy."

For Migraine "I currently take monthly injections of Emgality and have Botox every 3 months. If I have a migraine, I have been taking rizatriptan for the past 6 years. My neurologist gave me a sample of Ubrelvy. My migraine went away in about 30 minutes. However, I was extremely nauseous, dizzy, and sleepy. I became very lethargic for about 2 days. I could not get out of bed. Although it did work for my migraine, the side effects were not worth it."

For Migraine "I have had chronic migraines for 38 years. Imitrex worked for me most of the time, with few side effects, and so I used it for 20 years, until one night it caused me to have a cardiac vasospasm and suffer a heart attack. Since then, I feared I was doomed to suffer again without any help, but fortunately, Ubrelvy became available! I have taken 100 mg tablets 4-6 times per month with no side effects. It takes 2-4 hours to work, but is a lot better than my previous 72-hour migraines. It prevents my nausea entirely, and the headache does not return 90% of the time. So, please don't read the negative reviews and think that this medication is a bad one for everyone."

For Migraine "This medication has been better for me than triptans but still not 100%. The side effects from all four of the triptans I've tried were still too much for me to return to normal functioning. I don't seem to get any direct side effects from Ubrelvy. I get most of the classic migraine side effects, such as nausea, vomiting, photophobia, sensitivity to sound, visual changes (tunnel vision in my case), and insomnia. Ubrelvy does very well at reducing symptoms overall, along with a reduction in head pain. However, I can get stuck in cycles where I take it, symptoms and pain subside, then I wake up the next morning and I'm back to where I started from. This can go on until I run out of medication and give in to going to the ER. So I definitely prefer Ubrelvy to triptans, but it's not quite perfect for me."

For Migraine "First off, triptans and most other drugs have not worked for me. I have been taking Emgality, and that has been a minimal improvement. I’m also getting Botox every 12 weeks. Botox has helped tremendously, but I still get at least 12 migraines a month with aura, nausea, and visual disturbances. I took this drug after a migraine started, and I had nausea. Usually, this would mean a day of pain... at least. This medicine was like a miracle. Everything else leaves a residual headache that makes the migraine come back. I took this a week ago and have not had a migraine since. This is a game changer for me. It makes me really tired, but it is so worth it to me. I still can’t believe it."

For Migraine "I don't know what to make of this migraine pill. I took it 3 times and thought I found a miracle drug. No side effects like I have with Imitrex. The next time I took Ubrelvy, it did NOT work. I was sick all day with intense migraine pain and went to bed. What a waste of life. The pharmacist said not to mix it with Imitrex, so I had to live with pain and nausea all day and night. The next time I took it, it worked! I think it's a 50/50 split. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It is very expensive. 8 pills for $1,200.00, but I had a coupon. Back to Imitrex. At least I can depend on it getting rid of the pain!"

For Migraine "Awful. I've tried the 50 mg, which didn't work, so we opted to try the 100 mg. It just kept getting worse!! I can't take triptans or NSAIDs, so I hung my hopes on this one. It turned a regular migraine into an absolute nightmare migraine (though this is more likely the fact that it never worked at all). What I ended up with was mega nausea and the inability to sleep, even after I finally took Phenergan to at least try to sleep it off."

For Migraine "I was given samples of Ubrelvy from my primary physician for my migraines. I took one 50 mg pill, and an hour later my entire left arm went numb. 30 min after that, I had double vision. I was very dizzy, EXTREMELY nauseated. Not feeling myself at all felt very, very weird. This was yesterday, today I feel horrible. Extremely nauseated, vision still blurry, very weak, very shaky. I will NEVER take this drug again and would not suggest it to anyone. I threw them in the garbage."

For Migraine "I've never reviewed any medication in my life, and I don't take anything besides Ubrelvy. I have suffered from migraines for nearly a decade, but I felt compelled to review Ubrelvy because it simply changed my life. I considered myself disabled and was always scared of having a migraine attack, especially when around my young son. Ubrelvy does take about 2 hours to start working, but once it does, it lasts the entire day, and you forget you even had a migraine. It is AMAZING! You do feel tired and sleepy, but I can deal with that as long as the migraine and nausea go away."

For Migraine "Took 50 mg Ubrelvy tablet for the first time two nights ago. The drug took 2-3 hours to work, but it did dispatch my stubborn migraine (of several days’ duration). Side effects were noticeable the following day and night. They included extreme leg cramps (back of left thigh), nausea, stomach pain and stomach cramps, dry mouth, dehydration, excessive thirst, a horrible taste in my mouth, and olfactory distortions. Everything smelled like cigarettes. While I was relieved that this drug got rid of my migraine, I probably won't take it again. Triptans, Fioricet, Prednisone, and Aimovig have helped dislodge them with less onerous side effects."
