Comparing Betamethasone Topical vs Enbrel

For Dermatitis: Effective every time I use it within the first 72 hours changes are quite noticeable

For Dermatitis: I've had severe eczema since I was 13. I'm now 30. My Dr has put me on so many different meds for it that I began to lose hope. It would swell up and get really itchy. I have eczema behind, on, and inside both of my ears. It's also embarrassing because people would ask if I knew I was bleeding out the ear all the time. After yrs of no relief I switched Dr's. The new Dr put me on betamethasone and after using it for only 2 weeks it cleared up to the point that it was almost gone! I thought nothing would help it and that I was stuck with it for the rest of my life with no relief. I'm glad I was wrong! Every couple of years I will get flare ups, and all I have to do is put the betamethasone on it and it's gone the next day. Definitely recommend this.

For Rheumatoid Arthritis: I've had RA for two years now. Started MTX about 7 months ago. I started to get worse, not able to open bedroom door in the morning. Stiffness lasting most of the morning and joint pain all day. MTX increased to max dosage without improvement. I take MTX injections. Started Embrel a month ago, much improved with first injection. Now morning I do not have a lot of stiffness, still have joint pain but it is improving as well. My RA was rated as severe. I've had no real side affects from either drug. I have muscle pain in my legs which I understand can be a side affect of Embrel but it beats the joint pain. I had read that the Embrel injections were painful. I personally did not find that to be true.

For Rheumatoid Arthritis: On it 9 weeks. Helps the rheumatoid arthritis, but I'm going bald very fast. Eliminated other DMARDs to confirm it is in fact the Enbrel. I can not lose all my hair, so I'm quitting it. It began falling out in clumps within the first week of shot #1. Too bad. Got the Enbrel card and it covered the cost.
