For Back Pain "I have fibromyalgia, and my lower back would flare up periodically, and when I first felt the pain coming on, I would ice my back and take tolmetin. It would take the pain away after a few days of treating it with tolmetin. I have tried many other NSAIDs, and nothing helps like tolmetin. No side effects. I wish it would be made again."

For Gout, Acute "Works for me. No side effects as far as I can tell. I use it short term - two to four days until symptoms subside."

For Osteoarthritis "I took Tolmetin for 32 years with great success, and in the 2 years since I can't get it, my pain has gotten much worse, and I've developed deformed knuckles! I took from one to three 400 mg capsules daily and never had side effects! Now I can't find a med that does a good job."
