For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I began this treatment in April. It is now mid-September. I have lost 20 pounds. It is very easy to use, which is a big deal for those who have a needle phobia. In the beginning, I had very few side effects. After going to the 7.5 mg dose, I started to experience constipation and nausea. To combat this, I began a small fiber intake routine and requested Zofran from my doctor. Both are very effective for those side effects. I am now on a 12.5 mg dose and doing well. I feel I am close to a maintenance dose. This medication was quite effective. I am a small person, menopausal, and struggled with losing weight. Losing 20 lbs for my size is a very big deal. Through this process, I have learned better eating habits, keeping my portions small to maintain a healthy weight and continuing my exercise routine even if I am not losing weight. All in all, this was a win-win for me."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "There are pros and cons to every medication that you take. Zepbound does help with weight loss. Your appetite decreases, but you can and will have GI side effects: constipation, gas, abdominal pain with overeating, belching, and nausea. Cutting back on carbonated beverages, eating small meals, and increasing protein and fiber is key. Adding nausea medication and Gas-X helps."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "My experience is a lot better than I was expecting. I'm on the 2.5 mg a week. So far, the side effects are manageable. I barely get nauseous, but the constipation is real. I really like the once-a-week dosage because I don't particularly care for needles. My weight loss is slow, mainly due to a lack of working out. I'm extremely fatigued and just want to rest. The fatigue hits me early in the morning and late in the afternoon. Stay hydrated!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "It was rough in the beginning, with diarrhea, then constipation and heavy belching. The diarrhea ended after about a month, but constipation has continued. In addition to those symptoms, I experienced an undercurrent of nausea for several months, with it being more pronounced just after eating. After about eight months, the nausea abated for the most part. I started on the 2.5 and moved up in dosage every 2 months or so. I am entering month 10 and am on the 12.5 dosage. For the first 6-7 months, I lost approximately 1.5 lbs/wk, and over the last 2-3 months that has slowed down a little. I have lost a total of 50 lbs. The other side effect I've experienced is I sometimes have low blood sugar in the mornings, so I will have juice or something to help take care of it. It is easy to use, and despite the rough start, I am pleased with the results."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I began my weight loss journey in late January 2024. Over the next 12 months, I lost 40 pounds. However, I've hit a plateau for the past four months, since the end of November 2024, and it's now February 25, 2025. I still need to lose at least another 40 pounds. Zepbound has been a significant help in my journey. My clothes fit much better, and I've gone from a size XXL to a medium. In addition to Zepbound, I also strength train, maintain a healthy diet, and track my calorie intake. The only side effects I've experienced with Zepbound are occasional acid reflux, mild nausea, and some constipation. Currently, I am on 12.5 mg, but my doctor has decided to update my dosage to the 15 mg to see how I do on that dosage. Hopefully, it will kick me over the plateau and I will end up losing the next 40 pounds that I need to. Other than that, I love Zepbound. I think it’s great."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started on Zepbound 8/16/24. Have concentrated on protein and vegetables, fruit, and occasional treat. Have lost 31 lbs as of 11/2/24. Side effects have been constipation, which was remedied with OTC collagen and senna. Occasional nausea, especially in the beginning of tx. No longer get hungry and, most importantly, no longer get the cravings for unhealthy food. Recently started walking as it is much easier now with 30+ pounds down. Signed up for 2 exercise classes: yoga and weights. Dilkind has been a game changer for me. Presently on 2.5 injections. Easy to use."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "67 yr old male. Started at 270. Took approximately 5-6 months to drop down to 220. Average weight loss was about 10 pounds per month. Started at 2.5 mg (weekly) and gradually went up to 15 mg. Now that I have reached my goal, I have reduced the dosage to 10 mg every 10 days for 6 more dosages. The biggest challenge was the constipation. I finally found an herbal supplement (Dr. Schulze’s Intestinal Formula #1 on Amazon) that worked amazingly! With rapid weight loss, my blood pressure has reduced to almost borderline low. But with hydration and weight now stabilizing, it is normalizing at about 110/70. I am concerned about the potential long-term side effects that are now popping up… not sure if they are legitimate or not. But too late now. Working out consistently and eating small portions will help me to keep from bouncing back up in weight. Off Zepbound completely now…and have been able to stay near 220. Drink water! Occasional Tums were needed during the first couple of months."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "First things first. I'm a 40-year-old woman. My height is 5'9", and my starting weight was 214. During my first month on Zepbound 2.5 mg, I experienced fatigue, dry mouth, and slight constipation. I'm on my second month dosage of 5 mg now, and I'm experiencing nausea and migraines. This is my sixth injection, and the weight fell off during the first month, and now I'm at a standstill. I'm weighing in at 195 for the last 2 weeks. During my first month, I had no carbs at all. I made sure I had at least 120 g of protein a day, and I weight trained four times a week, getting my goal of 10,000 steps a day. I haven't kept that same training routine these past two weeks, which is why I probably haven't lost any weight. I'd say the medicine really works. I'm not looking to stay on long-term. Since I hit 40, I've struggled with weight, perimenopause, etc. This has been a game changer."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "They keep upping the price, and now I can’t afford it. I lost 43 pounds. It lowered my blood pressure. Dehydration, constipation, and sulfur burps, though. I had a heart attack from the dehydration. I’ve got that managed now-drinking electrolytes. I don’t want to give up, though, but I can’t afford $680 a month."

"I have been on Zepbound for 3 months. I had previously adopted a low-fat, vegetarian diet, so I have not had many gastric issues related to taking this medication. I have noticed an increase in constipation, but this is remedied by taking prunes and increasing fluids and fiber (I've found psyllium capsules help). Planning meals while on Zepbound, I've found to be helpful, especially with the constipation, as I am sure to add beans and other fiber-rich nutrients to the meals. If I do not plan meals, it's too easy not to eat or make something quick that is missing some of the needed nutrients. It should be noted that I started seeing a nutritionist at the same time I started Zepbound to give myself the best opportunity for success. I highly recommend this, and nutritionists are often covered by insurance."

For Obstructive Sleep Apnea/Hypopnea Syndrome "I was obese and had sleep apnea. After 5 months of Zepbound, I have lost 45 lbs., and my sleep apnea has subsided. Along with starting the medicine, I started an exercise program. I walk over 10K steps a day and use lighter weights with multiple sets to maintain and increase muscle mass. I also increased the amount of water I drink. I have a 40 oz. mug that I always have with me and am usually drinking 120 oz. per day. I stopped drinking alcohol 2 months into taking Zepbound. I have more energy and feel much better than I did when I was obese. The only side effect that I experienced was constipation. I combated that by taking a low dosage daily of Dulcolax. I could have never lost the weight I have without Zepbound. I intend to keep up my exercise program after stopping Zepbound, and hopefully my weight gain will be minimal."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I’m 63 years old, 5’7”, and when I started Zepbound on May 8th, 2024, I weighed 240 lbs. Now I’m down to 200 lbs! Started with 2.5 mg like most people, then 7.5 mg. The side effects were minimal, just some slight constipation when I first started, now nothing. All my cravings for fatty junk food, potato chips, ice cream, candy, etc., are gone. I still eat mostly anything I want, but half the portions, then I feel full. If you are overweight and if your insurance company pays for Zepbound, I highly recommend it."
