For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "My experience is a lot better than I was expecting. I'm on the 2.5 mg a week. So far, the side effects are manageable. I barely get nauseous, but the constipation is real. I really like the once-a-week dosage because I don't particularly care for needles. My weight loss is slow, mainly due to a lack of working out. I'm extremely fatigued and just want to rest. The fatigue hits me early in the morning and late in the afternoon. Stay hydrated!"

For Obstructive Sleep Apnea/Hypopnea Syndrome "Sleeping more soundly, no more snoring, and also taking for weight loss. Had some constipation at the beginning. Took 3 teaspoons of fiber daily until I got regular, and now one teaspoon of Metamucil daily. Lost 7 pounds in 2 months so far."

For Obstructive Sleep Apnea/Hypopnea Syndrome "I was obese and had sleep apnea. After 5 months of Zepbound, I have lost 45 lbs., and my sleep apnea has subsided. Along with starting the medicine, I started an exercise program. I walk over 10K steps a day and use lighter weights with multiple sets to maintain and increase muscle mass. I also increased the amount of water I drink. I have a 40 oz. mug that I always have with me and am usually drinking 120 oz. per day. I stopped drinking alcohol 2 months into taking Zepbound. I have more energy and feel much better than I did when I was obese. The only side effect that I experienced was constipation. I combated that by taking a low dosage daily of Dulcolax. I could have never lost the weight I have without Zepbound. I intend to keep up my exercise program after stopping Zepbound, and hopefully my weight gain will be minimal."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "First 2 weeks on low dose was okay. Minor GI disturbances. I normally have loose stools but had well-formed stools during those 2 weeks. Stayed on low dose for the 3rd week. Was a little constipated at first, so ordered a large salad from my favorite café. Maybe that's what triggers everything. That night I could not sleep because my gout became very painful, and I had to deal with the diarrhea. I am now feeling pretty drained and weak. Generally feel a tad light-headed."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have lost 54 lbs. in 6 months. It’s been easy, my only issues have been constipation and some hair loss. I increased my dosage each month to 15 mg. I am now reducing my dosage to wean off the drug. I wish there was more information about stopping the drug. Also, I had to spend thousands of dollars because it’s so expensive. I worry about stopping the drug."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Have had a lot of success with Zepbound at the low dose of 2.5 mg. I’ve lost about 30 pounds in four months. My biggest problem was abdominal distention. I’ve started drinking a quarter or half a glass of prune juice at night, and it’s really helping with my relief of constipation. I also think it’s helped with my stomach distention because I’m able to go to the bathroom every day."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Zepbound has been a godsend. I started at 244 lbs with a BMI of 36. I am down 60 lbs to 184. I started at the end of April, so just a little over 7 months. The only side effect I have had is the expected slow digestion, so you have constipation, with only having bowel movements every 2-3 days on average. However, some days you have a day where you have multiple movements in a day. Due to availability issues, I have not been on the proper dosing. Normally you start at 2.5 mg for the first month, then 5, 7.5, etc., for each month after until you max out at 15 mg. I started at 2.5 mg for the first month, but when I tried finding 5 mg, the only place was my insurance online pharmacy, and they only did 3-month prescriptions -- but 3 months at $100 (and the first month Eli Lilly gave me an $80 discount). I've only been able to find the 5 mg in order to not miss any doses. So, the good news is I was able to sustain the weight loss by staying at the same dose. If you can get it, it works great."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Zepbound for 18 weeks with a dosage of 5 mg. I have had constipation, stomach aches, afraid to eat anything at this point to avoid the problems I have been having. I admit I have lost 50 lbs as of this morning. I'm beginning to wonder though if the weight loss is worth all the misery I have been having and the very limited food I can eat. I honestly don't feel a great deal better like I thought losing this much weight would make me feel. The fact that it is now a lifetime commitment doesn't make it any better either. I don't think I can eat and feel this way the rest of my life."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "It's been a pretty good experience. The top dose I take is 7.5. Side effects: tiredness, a little dizziness, and some constipation. Make sure I eat something, this drug makes you forget about eating. This is what I contribute my dizziness to. I make sure I eat all 3 meals. More like 1/2 portions now. This is teaching me portion control. I've lost 32 lbs in 4 months."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I’m 63 years old, 5’7”, and when I started Zepbound on May 8th, 2024, I weighed 240 lbs. Now I’m down to 200 lbs! Started with 2.5 mg like most people, then 7.5 mg. The side effects were minimal, just some slight constipation when I first started, now nothing. All my cravings for fatty junk food, potato chips, ice cream, candy, etc., are gone. I still eat mostly anything I want, but half the portions, then I feel full. If you are overweight and if your insurance company pays for Zepbound, I highly recommend it."

For Obstructive Sleep Apnea/Hypopnea Syndrome "Starting 4th week of 2.5 mg. It wears off some by the end of the week. Dr. raised it to 5 mg for the next month's prescription. I am down 10 lbs in 3 weeks. Appetite is now easy to control and say no to the food/snack crazies. Very slight constipation is the only side effect I have noticed. It does work but is not affordable for me. $350 for the 1st month was the vial and syringe and out of pocket. Easy to use. Insurance declined it. $499 for the 2nd month. I can't afford it. I have researched it and found that you can buy the tirzepatide peptides online for considerably less money. I may regret it, but I am going to try it. I have seen very high numbers of happy people who went this route."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am happy with the results so far. I have lost 29 lbs in 13 weeks. My goal is 75 lb weight loss. My appetite is far less, and my cravings for sugar have much improved. I have had some constipation and 1 or 2 episodes of nausea but did not vomit. You have to drink water! I started on 2.5 mg and was increased to 5 mg. I'm worried to go to a higher dose due to potential increased side effects, as I have a history of kidney issues. However, since I started the medicine, my Hga1c is normal and lipid panel perfect."

For Obstructive Sleep Apnea/Hypopnea Syndrome "My stats on the front end of the Zepbound medication were 293 lbs at 6 feet tall. BMI was well over 40. I had constant fatigue and didn't sleep well (I am also on a CPAP). I started on 0.25 mg for 1 month and lost about 6 lbs. I then went to 0.5 mg for the past two months and have lost 18 lbs for a total of 24 lbs in 3 months. I have asked to go to 7.5 mg to help me get to my weight loss goal. My main side effect has been constipation, Miralax is helping with that. I also run 4 times a week, and exercise is very important when on Zepbound."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am a 60 y/o female, 5’7” and 288# on August 2, 2024. I was borderline diabetic and felt as though something had to be done considering my family history of diabetes and heart disease. I began Zepbound at the 2.5 dose. Seven weeks later, I weigh 252 and am very happy with my progress. My goal weight is 185, which is realistic for my height. I’m not taking this to become thin, I’m taking it to become healthy. My adverse side effects have been severe constipation and gas, which are easily mitigated with laxatives and gas reducers. I am eating healthier and am no longer controlled by excessive sugar cravings. While I once ordered a large ice cream, I now order a small and split it with my husband. My diet consists primarily of vegetables, and I have to remind myself to include at least a little protein to balance my diet. I am focusing on my relationship with food so I can continue to succeed when I am no longer using the medication after 12 months. My co-pay is $25.00."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I began this treatment in April. It is now mid-September. I have lost 20 pounds. It is very easy to use, which is a big deal for those who have a needle phobia. In the beginning, I had very few side effects. After going to the 7.5 mg dose, I started to experience constipation and nausea. To combat this, I began a small fiber intake routine and requested Zofran from my doctor. Both are very effective for those side effects. I am now on a 12.5 mg dose and doing well. I feel I am close to a maintenance dose. This medication was quite effective. I am a small person, menopausal, and struggled with losing weight. Losing 20 lbs for my size is a very big deal. Through this process, I have learned better eating habits, keeping my portions small to maintain a healthy weight and continuing my exercise routine even if I am not losing weight. All in all, this was a win-win for me."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "It was rough in the beginning, with diarrhea, then constipation and heavy belching. The diarrhea ended after about a month, but constipation has continued. In addition to those symptoms, I experienced an undercurrent of nausea for several months, with it being more pronounced just after eating. After about eight months, the nausea abated for the most part. I started on the 2.5 and moved up in dosage every 2 months or so. I am entering month 10 and am on the 12.5 dosage. For the first 6-7 months, I lost approximately 1.5 lbs/wk, and over the last 2-3 months that has slowed down a little. I have lost a total of 50 lbs. The other side effect I've experienced is I sometimes have low blood sugar in the mornings, so I will have juice or something to help take care of it. It is easy to use, and despite the rough start, I am pleased with the results."

"I have been on Zepbound for 3 months. I had previously adopted a low-fat, vegetarian diet, so I have not had many gastric issues related to taking this medication. I have noticed an increase in constipation, but this is remedied by taking prunes and increasing fluids and fiber (I've found psyllium capsules help). Planning meals while on Zepbound, I've found to be helpful, especially with the constipation, as I am sure to add beans and other fiber-rich nutrients to the meals. If I do not plan meals, it's too easy not to eat or make something quick that is missing some of the needed nutrients. It should be noted that I started seeing a nutritionist at the same time I started Zepbound to give myself the best opportunity for success. I highly recommend this, and nutritionists are often covered by insurance."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "No problems at all. At first, I was constipated and was fine after adding MiraLAX to my diet. I wish I could get it cheaper because my insurance doesn’t cover it. I also noticed that I sleep better because of my sleep apnea."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I began my weight loss journey in late January 2024. Over the next 12 months, I lost 40 pounds. However, I've hit a plateau for the past four months, since the end of November 2024, and it's now February 25, 2025. I still need to lose at least another 40 pounds. Zepbound has been a significant help in my journey. My clothes fit much better, and I've gone from a size XXL to a medium. In addition to Zepbound, I also strength train, maintain a healthy diet, and track my calorie intake. The only side effects I've experienced with Zepbound are occasional acid reflux, mild nausea, and some constipation. Currently, I am on 12.5 mg, but my doctor has decided to update my dosage to the 15 mg to see how I do on that dosage. Hopefully, it will kick me over the plateau and I will end up losing the next 40 pounds that I need to. Other than that, I love Zepbound. I think it’s great."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am up to a 12.5 dose, almost 4 months on Zepbound. I have only lost 11 lbs. I am on a calorie-restricted diet, 1400 cal per day. I don’t feel a lot of hunger and my cravings are not many. I am disappointed in the loss rate, but if it keeps me from gaining back the weight, I’ll be happy. My only side effects have been constipation and minor nausea."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started on Zepbound 8/16/24. Have concentrated on protein and vegetables, fruit, and occasional treat. Have lost 31 lbs as of 11/2/24. Side effects have been constipation, which was remedied with OTC collagen and senna. Occasional nausea, especially in the beginning of tx. No longer get hungry and, most importantly, no longer get the cravings for unhealthy food. Recently started walking as it is much easier now with 30+ pounds down. Signed up for 2 exercise classes: yoga and weights. Dilkind has been a game changer for me. Presently on 2.5 injections. Easy to use."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "First things first. I'm a 40-year-old woman. My height is 5'9", and my starting weight was 214. During my first month on Zepbound 2.5 mg, I experienced fatigue, dry mouth, and slight constipation. I'm on my second month dosage of 5 mg now, and I'm experiencing nausea and migraines. This is my sixth injection, and the weight fell off during the first month, and now I'm at a standstill. I'm weighing in at 195 for the last 2 weeks. During my first month, I had no carbs at all. I made sure I had at least 120 g of protein a day, and I weight trained four times a week, getting my goal of 10,000 steps a day. I haven't kept that same training routine these past two weeks, which is why I probably haven't lost any weight. I'd say the medicine really works. I'm not looking to stay on long-term. Since I hit 40, I've struggled with weight, perimenopause, etc. This has been a game changer."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Zepbound has been wonderful. Started at 2.5, now starting 7.5. Working. Side effects: some nausea, constipation, but not bad. Injection site reaction, but within 3 or 4 days, fading away. Really an easy medication to tolerate. Glad I am on Zepbound."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "On week 5 of Zep. Goal to lose 20-25 lbs. Received a 2.5 mg 'loading' dose, I split it into 1.25 doses 3 days apart for the first 2 weeks as I tend to react strongly to meds. I had a bit of anxiety and fatigue on this dose and appetite suppression that waned by week 2, so I increased to 2.5 in one shot for weeks 3 and 4. Less anxiety/fatigue but more nausea and constipation, still manageable. I received a 5 mg dose in the mail at week 4 but had already lost 15 lbs on the 2.5 dose for 4 weeks. Week 5 - I tried the 5 mg. The next day, I was so sick to my stomach and nauseous that I struggled to eat or drink at all. I was dizzy and felt terrible, depressed, and kept getting the long bouts of hiccups. I will be at goal soon and plan to switch to metformin to maintain weight. For me, this med is miraculous, but I do not feel great on it. (For reference - I have a mental health diagnosis and pre-existing mild gastrointestinal issues, MTHFR gene variant)"
