"Follow Up: I am currently on day 11 of Zepbound 2.5 mg. As of this morning, I have lost 11.73 lbs. Daily, I documented how I felt and symptoms. The first 24 hours of injection #1, I had extreme fatigue, normal appetite, and a whole lot of belching. Day 2, belching, less hungry, no other symptoms. Day 3, I had no appetite, no other symptoms. Day 4, less than normal appetite, no other symptoms . Days 3 and 4 have just been repetitive. I have had no negative side effects, BUT I also have made sure to eat high-protein foods for every meal, even on the days I had no appetite, nothing greasy (thinking about it turns my stomach), no high-sugar foods. As of today, I’d say; if you work with the medication, the medication will work with you. Update you in a couple of weeks."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "On week 5 of Zep. Goal to lose 20-25 lbs. Received a 2.5 mg 'loading' dose, I split it into 1.25 doses 3 days apart for the first 2 weeks as I tend to react strongly to meds. I had a bit of anxiety and fatigue on this dose and appetite suppression that waned by week 2, so I increased to 2.5 in one shot for weeks 3 and 4. Less anxiety/fatigue but more nausea and constipation, still manageable. I received a 5 mg dose in the mail at week 4 but had already lost 15 lbs on the 2.5 dose for 4 weeks. Week 5 - I tried the 5 mg. The next day, I was so sick to my stomach and nauseous that I struggled to eat or drink at all. I was dizzy and felt terrible, depressed, and kept getting the long bouts of hiccups. I will be at goal soon and plan to switch to metformin to maintain weight. For me, this med is miraculous, but I do not feel great on it. (For reference - I have a mental health diagnosis and pre-existing mild gastrointestinal issues, MTHFR gene variant)"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Zepbound at 2.5. My weight was 249 and I'm 5'2''. I've lost 34 lbs starting in July. I went up to 7.5 and was doing great. Then the third dose, all the side effects started in spades. I started vomiting, no appetite, tired all the time. I drink water all the time (and I'm a reformed soda drinker). I'm suddenly itchy all the time. The weight loss has slowed down. But I'm not giving up in order to get my knee replacement. This comment section makes me feel like I'm not alone. Thanks for listening. Oh, the one thing that could make me quit is the price is ridiculous! I'm running out of money."

For Obstructive Sleep Apnea/Hypopnea Syndrome "Everything was okay while I was taking the 0.5 dose in April 2025, but once I began the 7.5 mg dose, I began to notice my blood pressure increasing, and by 9:48 a.m. on the very next day after taking this dose, my BP reading was 155/101 mm Hg with a pulse of 101. I had to call an ambulance and get to the ER. I don't think Zepbound is for people who already have high blood pressure, especially since it raises your heart rate. I already had diarrhea, and I had no appetite. Not replacing electrolytes fast enough, my blood sugar had dropped dangerously low. I was given hydralazine to bring my BP down quickly, 2 Tylenol, and Ativan to stabilize me before I had a stroke or heart attack. Everybody is different, so I urge you to really think about all of the pros and cons before taking Zepbound, even if you already have sleep apnea, which I have. I will be looking for alternative ways to lose the 23 pounds and continue my exercise routine along with the DASH and Mediterranean meal plans."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have just started Zepbound 2.5 - 3 days ago. The injection did not hurt - in fact, I didn't feel it at all. I have not had any side effects that I noticed. I have noticed I have no appetite. I'm going to keep a diary of what I eat so I make sure I get enough protein. Also, I started taking a gummy multivitamin. I will check back and keep you all apprised of my progress!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Flu-like symptoms, nausea, discomfort after eating anything. Broth has been my go-to. Very fatigued. Hoping week 2 will be better. Today is day 7. No appetite, no energy. There's not an option for maybe. One week isn’t enough time to give recommendations."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started on Mounjaro 1 August. I was 222, now I’m 193 on the last day of October, so three months, almost 30 pounds, 10 pounds a month. I drink protein shakes, and I have no appetite. I am starting to work out because this has inspired me to not only lose weight but get healthy. I am 64 years old, and I’ve struggled with my weight my whole life. This is completely a game changer for me. My commercial insurance does not cover it. The coupon got it down to 650, and I’m hoping to switch to the vials so that I can just give myself a shot, and hopefully that’ll be cheaper."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started Zepbound (2.5 mg) in early February and already down 10 pounds (I have about 40 lbs in total to lose)—honestly, it feels like too much too fast. No physical side effects so far, but this past weekend, I experienced crushing anxiety over a stressful situation at work. I’m wondering if anyone else has noticed mood changes while on Zepbound? I know the work stress played a role, but I also had zero appetite during that time, which made me question whether the medication could be contributing to the anxiety. I have an appointment with my physician this week and will definitely bring it up, but I’m also curious—has anyone stayed on 2.5 mg long-term? That said, I totally understand what others have mentioned—it’s incredibly freeing not to be constantly thinking about food. My grocery bill appreciates it too."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've only been on it for 5 days. I had heartburn for the first few days, but that's better now. Yesterday, the fourth day, midafternoon, I started getting very cold. I'm never cold, and it’s summer, about 78 degrees outside. I don't have air conditioning. I got so cold that I had to take a hot shower. Then I had to turn on my electric blanket and lay in bed until I warmed up. I started to go back to normal temperature after an hour. I find it difficult to eat. I'm not hungry but have drunk protein shakes. I felt a little nauseous the first day but it passed. I'm hopeful it will help me. So far, my blood sugars are about the same and haven't gone down."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "BMs are diarrhea daily, but only once or twice a day, so it's controllable. Losing weight, truly zero appetite, and when I eat, I feel full very quickly. No headaches or increased heart rate for me."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am 5'9" and 206 pounds. Started injections 1 week ago, 2.5 dosage. No side effects at all, other than not much of an appetite for food and alcohol. I have been eating smaller portions at mealtimes and drinking lots of water. I am down 6 pounds and take 2nd shot tomorrow. Needless to say, I am thrilled! Of course, my insurance wouldn’t cover, so paying out of pocket. Insurance companies would rather you be overweight and unhealthy and fight your coverage rather than help you get healthy. Our healthcare system is beyond broken!"
