I experienced some mild hair loss (but started this in menopause, so that contributed to hair loss as well), increased heart rate, although mine was low to start, some burping, and tiredness. For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "56 yr female, 257 lbs (20 years post gastric bypass). Started Zepbound 11/3 2.5 mg. Lost 12 lbs in the first 4 weeks. Minimal side effects until week 3-4. Felt dizzy, headaches, lethargic though likely due to not enough calories. 1st 5 mg dose yesterday and feel great so far. Absolutely no food noise or cravings since the 1st shot. No issues at all with the injection site or pain. Will stay at 5 mg as long as I can before increasing. This medication has been a life changer for me. I was hesitant due to reported side effects as I researched for over a year before I decided to move forward. My insurance denied, I appealed and got the decision overturned. For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have lost over 35 lbs in 5 months. I started at the 2.5 and have worked up to the 10. Zepbound is incredibly effective at assisting with the weight loss. Greasy fatty foods definitely upset my stomach now. The first day post-shot, I am super tired and have a very mildly upset stomach, after that, it’s fine. I am freezing all the time, so for sure take a jacket wherever you go! I am not starving and do not have cravings at all. Staying hydrated seems to help with curbing the initial side effects. Initially, I found myself hardly eating just because I wasn’t hungry. I had to make a concerted effort to make myself sit down and eat. Protein and veggies made me feel a ton better and didn’t result in any digestive discomfort. It really was a trial and error. Alcohol is not your friend, even 1 or 2 drinks makes me feel awful. I ended up naturally having a cleaner diet and drinking a lot more water just to minimize the digestive side effects."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Zepbound at 2.5. My weight was 249 and I'm 5'2''. I've lost 34 lbs starting in July. I went up to 7.5 and was doing great. Then the third dose, all the side effects started in spades. I started vomiting, no appetite, tired all the time. I drink water all the time (and I'm a reformed soda drinker). I'm suddenly itchy all the time. The weight loss has slowed down. But I'm not giving up in order to get my knee replacement. This comment section makes me feel like I'm not alone. For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am a 49-year-old female. Started on 2.5 mg of Zepbound at 201. Lost some weight quickly and got to 191, then stopped. Second month, they bumped me to 5 mg. I only got sick once. It was nausea. I started losing again. Got down to 185. Then, for reasons I can’t explain, I gained 2 lbs despite walking and tracking food. On my 3rd shot, I was very lethargic for a whole weekend after the shot. I have no energy, and I am taking nothing else. I hope it goes away soon and I start losing again. It’s not a magic bullet. You have to track your food and exercise too (which is hard with lethargy)."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started on the 2.5 mg starting dose. After the second day, I was experiencing severe diarrhea, burping, nausea. These went away on Day 6. Very tolerable after then. I stayed on 2.5 for several months before going to the 5 mg dose, due to the intensity of my side effects. Started Day 1 of the 5 mg dose, and on the 3rd day after it I had tiredness, orthostatic hypotension (85/55 when standing up). At the 5th day, I am still having orthostatic hypotension - I maintained a water source. Spent 2.5 days without eating. I also vomited a couple of times during the 5 mg startup. Once this batch of side effects goes away, probably will be fine. I just think that a warning about the SEVERE side effects that make me functionally worthless should be discussed. I believe my side effects are a little more extreme than most, but folks should, at least, be informed."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "It's been a pretty good experience. The top dose I take is 7.5. Side effects: tiredness, a little dizziness, and some constipation. Make sure I eat something, this drug makes you forget about eating. This is what I contribute my dizziness to. I make sure I eat all 3 meals. More like 1/2 portions now. This is teaching me portion control. I've lost 32 lbs in 4 months."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am 45 years old and female. I have been on Zepbound for eight months. I started at 275 lbs and am now at 235 lbs. The day after I first took it, my stomach was so full it hurt, just from my normal portion sizes. Over time, the dosage has increased to 7.5. I am a little more tired than usual, but that's a small price to pay. The vast majority of side effects occur when I overeat. There's no way to know which of these I will have then: pain in my stomach, egg burps, loud flatulence, and/or diarrhea. I have been sick a lot more than usual, along with swollen lymph nodes and hoarseness, but there's no way to know if they're related or not."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have lost 20 lbs in 3 1/2 months on Zepbound taking 2.5, 5.0, and 7.5 mg so far as per plan and dosage increases. I plan to use 5 mg for maintenance dosage now that I am almost at my goal weight. It is very simple to use. I had some GERD, nausea, and adjustments to make with certain foods, but that subsided after the first few months. You definitely cannot overeat as you will not feel well. The exhaustion and body aches are what bother me the most. For the first 3 days after an injection, I am so tired that it impacts what I can get done in a day, including energy to exercise and do my job during the day. I am sleeping okay with it, but the fatigue is almost debilitating."
