Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I’ve lost about a pound per week, starting with the smallest dose and leveling up every month. I started at 187 pounds and am down to 172. Side effects: constipation, belching, and fatigue (probably due to not eating enough). I like the pens and got over my fear of the needle. Sometimes it leaves a red welt in my tummy, but not usually. The worst part about it is the cost. My insurance doesn’t cover it, even though I was obese, had pre-diabetes, and sleep apnea (which I didn’t have when I was thinner). Imagine how many health issues could be solved if people could use this to lose weight."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started in January 2025 with the 2.5 dose. For the first two weeks, I experienced nausea and diarrhea off and on. For the last two weeks, I was fine. I am on my second week of 5 mg. The first week, I was so sick - I take the shot late Friday afternoon - I was in bed most of the day on Saturday with nausea and fatigue. I did vomit once. Sunday was the same. The rest of the week, I felt fine. Second shot last Friday - I was okay on Saturday - able to function but very nauseous. Woke up on Sunday and spent most of the day in bed due to nausea and fatigue. The anti-nausea medicine helps but not so much for me. Today I am functioning with some nausea. The benefits of this drug are obvious. I don't eat as much as I did before the medicine. I've lost 16 lbs so far. The nausea bothers me. I should be able to function and not get sick every weekend after a shot. I no longer have diarrhea - I am constipated instead. When I take Miralax, I cannot think about it or I get sick."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I had insulin resistance and was overweight. I started taking Mounjaro and have lost 34 lbs and am now within 8 lbs of my goal weight. I have not increased my physical activity. My A1C has gone from 7.0 to 5.4. I started taking it 7 months ago. I have been on the 10 mg dosage for the last 2 months. I find that it is very easy to use. The side effects at first were nausea and diarrhea. They were very severe at first, but have calmed down and now I might experience some slight nausea the day after my injection. I also find that I really do not have any interest in food and do not feel hungry. I need to eat small meals of mostly protein and get full on very little food. Another side effect that seems to have gotten worse in the last 2 or 3 months is extreme fatigue. I find that I have very little energy."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started taking tirzepatide in June 2024 at a max of 10 mg and lost 66 pounds without working out. Side effects were an itchy, warm rash at injection sites, which I was told was a mild allergic reaction. Extreme fatigue, couldn’t work out, get up from the couch, or even go up the stairs. It never really went away. Extreme nausea every time I went up a dosage or overate. Lots of stomach pains, mostly in the beginning because I was still trying to eat what I normally do and got full way too easily. Can only eat one small meal a day. Easily dehydrated, still trying to work on that. Heart rate lowered significantly and I still don’t know why. Still taking it as of now, 2025, but I think I would have rather stayed at 7.5 mg because it was more comfortable, just lost less weight that way. Unfortunately, I know for a fact that I’d gain some weight back if I stopped taking it."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I've only had 2 shots and 2 days until the next one. I find it very convenient to administer. However, I have had some nasty side effects! I've had diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, fatigue. I will continue taking the medication hoping the side effects will 'calm down.'"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I’ve lost about 10 pounds in probably 6 to 8 weeks. I feel okay on this drug. I have experienced some tiredness and fatigue, and some diarrhea as well, but nothing too bad. There was only one week where it was bad enough that I might rethink using it. Now it’s mild and lasts for about 2 days post-shot. Some blurry vision as well. I most likely won’t stay on this drug for the long haul."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I began my journey on April 12th, 2024. I'm currently on my second dose of 7.5. A bit more stomach issues, diarrhea, and extreme fatigue. No desire to eat whatsoever. Since I've started, I have lost a total of 50 lbs. as of 9/2/24. Yes, I'm Type 2 diabetic, but I wanted to give this medication a try to see if it would be of any help for me to lose weight. It has far exceeded my expectations! It's been a bit rough, but I'm seeing great results. I'll continue on this journey with hopes of meeting my own personal weight loss goals."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started the Mounjaro 2 weeks and 6 days ago for obesity and due for my 3rd shot tomorrow. I started on the 2.5 mg dose. After my 1st injection, I felt fine that first day. The second day, I woke up feeling dizzy, almost like I was drunk, and extremely fatigued and exhausted. I felt almost back to normal by noon but was very nauseous the whole day. I spent the majority of the first week nauseous and had a significantly decreased appetite. I did not lose any weight. In the second week, nausea was a little worse. I noticed that if I ate a bite occasionally, I wouldn’t get as nauseous. I was barely eating, but as the week went on, my appetite turned normal. Also, at the end of the 3rd day of my 2nd week, I had a severe headache. I have Crohn’s, and I am used to having diarrhea daily. I have been slightly constipated, the 2nd week worse than the 1st. But I have actually gained 2.2 lb! How? I don’t eat much due to nausea! I will stay the course for now… My appetite is definitely down, little cravings."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started Jan 6 at 191. 57F, 5'6'. July 12, 143. So almost 50# in 6 mo. First month or so on 2.5, I had mild nausea (Zofran worked great), indigestion (Pepcid chewables for that), and occasional constipation. Diarrhea maybe twice. Experienced some fatigue initially, but likely the result of very low calorie intake. Have been on 5 mg since, with only mild constipation. This drug is an absolute game changer for me. I had tried for almost 2 years to drop the weight with diet and exercise with basically zero success. Now I'm approaching my lowest adult weight with minimal effort! Biggest downfall is having to spend money on new smaller clothes."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "This has been a lifesaver for me! I struggled with weight loss, fatigue, brain fog, decreased libido, and hormonal imbalances. I didn't realize how bad I felt until I started feeling better. I have been on it for about 6 months now, and I feel like I have my life back. I have increased energy, better sleep, improved vision, lowered blood pressure, regained my libido, balanced my hormones, improved focus, and enhanced my overall mental well-being. I hope that more research will be conducted on this, as it could potentially help many others who have experienced these symptoms and have been dismissed by doctors, who have been told it's just a normal part of aging, and who have made lifestyle changes without seeing any results."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Just had my first injection on 8-27-2025. Was compounded by pharmacist. Had severe acid reflux. Already taking pantoprazole 40 mg once daily and didn’t touch my symptoms. Very deep-rooted burping and diarrhea. Fatigue and some nausea. Gonna give it one more go and see if my body has had time to adjust."

Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been taking Zepbound for four months and have lost 23 lbs so far. In terms of facilitating weight loss, it is a miracle drug. I eat less without feeling hungry, and I don't think about food. But there are definite side effects-diarrhea (this is the worst-can last for days), constipation (yes, the diarrhea quickly turns to constipation), heartburn (easily controlled), and some fatigue in the first 24 hours. I was on 2.5 for 1 month, then went up to 5 (ish). For me, the worst side effects kick in at 5. I am getting the medication in a vial so I can easily adjust the dose a bit. A couple of weeks ago, I went down to 4.5, and the side effects were much less severe. I'm experimenting to see where in the 4.5 to 5 range I get a balance between weight loss and side effects that I feel comfortable with. Right now, I am still losing weight. After another 10 lbs, I will be at a healthy weight and hope I can decrease the dose to maintain weight loss and reduce side effects."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "The medication was easy to use with its once-weekly injections. After my first injection, I experienced strange, all-over skin aching, especially in my posterior neck. This resolved in a day or two and didn’t happen with subsequent injections. It noticeably decreased my appetite. I also noticed fatigue and significant nausea, more so in the first few days following the injection. I haven’t noticed the amount of weight loss I was expecting given how little I’m eating. Only about 10 pounds in three months."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "It’s working.. dropped my blood sugar levels to a 4-week average of 122 after 99 days. I have lost 26 lbs. I am currently at 7.5 mg dosage. Side effects kicked in at 7.5 dosage… heartburn and fatigue initially for about 3 days after first injection. 2 weeks was some of the same but not as long. 3 weeks just fatigue. I’m dealing with some hypoglycemia, but adding smaller meals and eating every 3 hours helps. Overall I’m feeling better and am adjusting. I may stay at this dosage for another month before ramping up again."

Started July with meds from RxPro and have had a lot of issues with it: shakes, fatigue, hair loss, low potassium. Don't mind the shots. Wish I would have stuck with the Bioverse provider - consistently lost weight with no side effects."

I feel fatigued and weak often. Only having a tiny bit of nausea - no vomiting. I have no appetite and no cravings. This has been much easier, side effects, than my son who takes it subq."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started tirzepatide injections the first week of September. I have lost 14 pounds. Started on the lowest dose of 2.5 and felt great...felt the best I have in years. Took the lowest dose for 6 weeks, then we went up to 5, and I think it's too strong because I feel the worst I have ever felt...extreme fatigue, confusion, do not want to eat anything. So dehydration and lack of food probably has a lot to do with it. But every week, a couple of days before my next injection is due, I always even start to feel bad like my body needs the injection. I'm paying $425 a month for this medication. My goal was to lose 20 to 25 pounds, and I'm very close. So I'm trying to decide if I should take it one more month but use the 2.5. Because many people say they have to take this medication for a few years. Sometimes I feel wonderful, and other times it makes me feel horrible, and I definitely don't enjoy alcohol at all anymore. Does anyone have similar experiences like I've had?"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I’ve been on tirzepatide since Dec 2024 and have currently lost 85 lbs in 7.5 months. I have not altered my diet in any way except to eliminate all refined sugar. For me, the medication immediately caused a marked aversion to sweets and foods containing sugar, but my other side effects have been relatively mild (constipation, nausea, fatigue). I have improved mobility but still do not engage in anything other than mild exercise, owing to my heart failure condition. My heart and kidney function have both improved markedly, and I’ve been able to eliminate 2 of my heart medications and reduce my kidney medications. I do not have diabetes and have had a couple of episodes of hypoglycemia, but a piece of fruit or a meal has been adequate to quell that response. Overall, I feel and look considerably better and am pleased with the steady weight loss. My cardiologist and nephrologist are overjoyed with my success."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was prescribed 2.0 mg tirzepatide each week for weight loss and sleep apnea. I am postmenopausal, about 50 pounds overweight, and not diabetic. I have had 2 injections. Other than some increased fatigue, I have had no side effects. I've lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks and feel good. The greatest thing is that for someone who in the past has felt abnormal regarding hormones and the inability to lose weight/keep weight off, I now feel normal. The food 'noise' in my head is gone, I don’t have to starve or exercise drastically to lose weight, I'm not feeling hunger pangs or blood sugar swings, I'm not feeling nauseous or revved up from appetite suppressants or stimulants, and I'm not having to count every calorie I put in my mouth. It’s very freeing to not have to think so much about food."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "After a terrible experience on Wegovy (including intense fatigue and eventually depression and suicidal feelings), I was scared to try another GLP-1. But after a few months, I cautiously tried tirzepatide, and I'm so glad I did. I’ve lost 35 pounds in 4 months, just 10 more to goal! And side effects have been easier. No effects on mood, a little fatigue but only for the first month. The worst side effects have been dry mouth and dry eyes at times, in the first day or two after my dose. These have been very manageable. And I have plenty of energy, and my mood feels positive and stable. I highly recommend! I get mine compounded, and I like using a syringe rather than a pen because I can titrate my dose up more slowly."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I am nearing the end of my 3rd week with Mounjaro 2.5 mg. The side effects in the first week were awful: heartburn, sulfur burps, nausea, and slight headache. These side effects lessened by the 5th day. The second week was a little better. The side effects were somewhat better and only lasted for 4-5 days. Fatigue crept in the second week. Now I am on Day 5 of my third week. The main side effects now are acid reflux, slight nausea, and extreme weakness and tiredness. My appetite is really suppressed on Mounjaro. I don’t get hungry at all. So far I have lost 13 lbs in 19 days. The weight loss is great, but the fatigue and weakness are really bad. I am a 63 y/o male, type 2 diabetic for 25 years, currently 252 lbs. This medicine is not for everyone, and I don’t think I will be taking another Mounjaro injection."

At first, it caused severe belching and indigestion, especially in my upper mid/right back, but it has gone away, shakiness has increased. I still feel fatigued, hoping that will go away!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "This has helped overcome the weight loss plateau I have experienced post-menopause in a way which no other eating or exercise regimes have managed to achieve. My overall food intake has probably not reduced significantly, but it is easier to manage with fewer cravings and feeling fuller for longer. I think the metabolic effects have been key to the weight loss of slightly under 2 lb a week. Increased appetite has been apparent on day 6. I have had to increase the dose to 10 mg weekly over 9 weeks, having experienced minimal appetite suppression on 2.5 mg weekly. The main side effect has been noticeable fatigue, which I try to offset by administering the medication at nighttime. It wears off as the week progresses. Time will tell whether I will habituate to this side effect. Looser stools have been apparent in the first few days, but no other gastrointestinal symptoms. Overall, I am very pleased with the results, and the tiredness, while not desirable, is bearable given the outcome."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started Mounjaro on July 19th, 2024. I started the medication because I was pre-diabetic, my A1C was high, and if I could lose a few pounds, it would be a plus. In my first week, I had the following side effects: nausea, loss of appetite, dry mouth, and some fatigue. I went to my doctor for a follow-up and had lost 5 pounds in my first two weeks. This was good, and I loved the weight loss. My A1C was 5.5, wonderful. Yet, I talked to my doctor about the fatigue. It had worsened to the point where my body didn't want to go up and down stairs. He suggested it was my sleep, however, my sleep habits hadn't changed. I'm planning to take Mounjaro 2.5 to see if the side effects lessen. Updates to come."
