Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "If I could give this a trillion for a rating, I would. I took this at 12, hoping to cure my YI and really wanting the regular irritation to go away. Around 1 o'clock, it hit me like someone lit a match in my vagina. The burning and itching are indescribable. I had to have someone pick me up and was trembling and crying. THIS BOX NEEDS TO HAVE A LABEL ON IT EXPLAINING THIS REACTION!! And there's basically nothing you can do but wait it out. After 3 hours, I started feeling better, but it still burns SO MUCH. I bought AZO yeast infection oral capsules to take orally to help relieve the pain, so hopefully it helps. I wish I saw these reviews BEFORE taking it. It IS NOT WORTH IT. Unbearable pain and discomfort."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Although it burns, itches, and makes you want to rip your hair off, this product is not bad. Bear with me, I got a YI due to antibiotics, so I decided to go with Monistat 1. So I inserted the egg at about 11 pm after a shower and used a little bit of the cream. I woke up at 2 am with the worst pain of my life. Literally on fire, as if chemicals had been in it! I used the cooling wipes and just sat on the bathroom floor for about 2 hours. The pain slowly eased, and it’s now 5 am, and I can get some rest. I woke up at noon and feel better than ever. If it’s burning, it’s probably just working, be patient and give it some time."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I swear it feels like a colony of fire ants has taken up residence in my vagina. Put this in a little over two hours ago, and it took about an hour before the real pain set in. Took some Advil PM, here's hoping the morning comes with a clean bill of health for my poor innards."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve never had a problem with Monistat 3, so I figured I would try the one-day treatment. Bad mistake. After I inserted it, I went to bed and woke up feeling fine, but it starts to hurt and itch like anything after I went to the bathroom to wipe away all the excess. After that, it started getting super swollen, like a balloon. It hurt so bad, and I had to lay in bed all day with no panties or pants. The itching went away, but it was just so swollen. It was very difficult to sleep like that, not even being able to close my legs! The next morning, the swelling had gone down a little bit, but it was still pretty swollen. I’ve been laying in bed with an ice pack between my legs all day. If you’ve never used Monistat before, I strongly recommend getting the 3 or 7-day one!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Don't ever use this product. I only had it for 10 minutes inside me. The cream made me burn as if I was on fire, then itch so much it made me cry. I was in so much pain I couldn't stop moving off the bed with the pain I had. I went to the bathroom to wash it out. I will never, ever use this again - it burnt me so much I still have some pain, and I am using ice resting there to make it numb. This is not a good product. It just makes it worse. What is it? I still can't believe how bad the pain is. So please don't buy."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I took Monistat 1 earlier today and began feeling intense burning about 2 hours later. Very uncomfortable and painful, so I googled 'Monistat 1 burning' and arrived here, now reading all the reviews. At least I know it's somewhat 'normal' for it to feel like this, but all the same, I will never use the 1-day treatment again and would not recommend it to anyone else. It's been about 4 hours since I took it, and I'm wondering how long before the burning will ease up, *sigh*"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Do not, I repeat, do not get this medicine. My mom bought it for me from the store. So I got home, got in the tub, and put it in about 11. I woke up at 3 a.m. by force. It was itching and burning so badly. I'm not lying or being dramatic. I was praying and so close to crying. It was a burning type of pain also. I had to get in the tub and rub warm water on my vagina for an hour. Now I'm back in bed and it's still burning. I wish I would've listened to the little reviews I did read before I put the pill in. I don't recommend this at all."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I went and bought the Monistat 1 day. Only took a few hours for it to start burning like anything! I can't move! It's burning and itching like crazy! Idk what to do. This pain is unbearable. Everyone thinks I'm crazy because they never had this experience. I can't sleep at night! I'm not sure why a product would put you in so much pain."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "WARNING!! Do not use!! Extreme burning and itching. I was so desperate I put a cold cloth on my vagina to ease the pain. I did this repeatedly until the itching and burning stopped. It's been over 10 years since I had a YI, but I thought Monistat was safe. It is not. THERE IS NO WAY THIS AMOUNT OF PAIN IS THE RESULT OF AN EFFECTIVE PRODUCT!! My vagina was extremely sore after this. Pull this product and have someone look into these complaints NOW."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I don't remember having such burning and painful experiences in the past when using this (I get yeast infections frequently, but of course I'm having symptoms going into the weekend, so I thought I'd treat myself). About 30 mins after I inserted the egg... My vagina exploded with fiery burning pain. Hopefully, things get better soon. Ahh."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Used the 1-day at night and woke up the next morning in pain! And itching! And was so swollen I've never seen my vagina that swollen before! Laid in bed all weekend with ice packs on my lady parts, hurts too much to get up and move around. Went to the doctor on Monday and she prescribed the pill form for YI. I've missed 2 days of work, still swollen and itching, and my crotch is still on fire. Going on day 5, this is awful. Will never, ever use the 1-day again. I have no idea how to make it through the day at work tomorrow, but I can't miss another day. Worst medicine EVER!!!! DO NOT USE!!!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used the 1-day tioconazole cream, not the suppository. I have used the suppository before, which sucks, and it hurt like hellfire in my vagina, however, it worked, so I was nervous to try the 1-day cream, but I have been on antibiotics for a week and got a yeast infection as a result, so I used Monistat expecting terrible pain. However, there was no pain at all. One hour in, I got out of bed and walked around, causing an intense itch, but I laid down, and it went away after about 15 minutes. I woke up in the morning with no pain at all and no itchiness. My vagina is slightly sore, nothing unmanageable. I expect the soreness will go away by tomorrow morning, like it did last time when I used the suppository. I would say this is very effective."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Never again! Oh my goodness. After an hour of using this, my vagina was ON FIRE!! It woke me up from how horrible the pain was. I thought I was bleeding from the burn. It lasted 2 hours. I will never use this again! I would rather wait until my doctor can see me to prescribe me something."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Save your vag the additional pain and just call your doctor. I was taking antibiotics for a horrible sinus infection. I ended up getting a YI. In efforts of being proactive and treating the YI early, I used this product. I'm in a lot more pain than I was before using. I feel like I've been attacked by bees and hot sauce. I hope I feel better in the morning because I have to work. Should've read the reviews before purchasing."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "It was my first time having a YI this week. So I bought Monistat Day 1 and used it last night before bed. I read the reviews about how it burned and itched for hours, but I didn't have that experience, lucky for me. When I woke up the next morning, not only was my YI not treated, my entire 'area' was swollen and in a little pain if I touched it. It hurt to walk, but I made it to the doctor's as soon as I got up, and my doctor diagnosed me with a YI and prescribed me 'fluconazole.' I'm hoping it works better than Monistat did, but I will never use that product again. And my biggest advice to anyone out there who has a YI: you should go to your doctor instead of trying to cure it yourself. Or use anything BESIDES MONISTAT!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "No! I wish I had read these insightful reviews before putting what feels like lava inside me! I also wish I could give this product 'zero stars.' The pain and burning are extreme! I can barely walk. The only good thing that came from this experience is the comradeship from other women on here. Stay strong through the pain, ladies!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh. My. Gosh. Most painful thing I have experienced in quite some time. I don't often write reviews, but this was a must. I almost instantly felt like my vagina was on fire, and it wasn't until I googled the product reviews that I realized it wasn't just me. I injected the medicine right before bed and laid there in agony for about an hour. I finally fell asleep after convincing myself that it was painful because the medicine was doing work in a shorter time frame. I thought I would wake up pain-free and good to go, but unfortunately, that doesn't appear to be the case. The symptoms have lessened slightly, and hopefully, they continue to subside and I am in the clear soon, but I don't think I will ever use this medicine again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "For the love of God, do NOT use this!!! I am traumatized! Horrific experience. Followed directions exactly, put in the cream at bedtime, which was about 10 PM. Woke up a little after 3 AM due to severe burning, itching, swelling, and pain. IT WOKE ME UP FROM A DEEP SLEEP. Felt like I had put lava in my vagina after scrubbing it with a Brillo pad. Swollen shut, 2x its regular size at least. Tried rinsing & washing, Benadryl by mouth, & an ice pack to the vag for 5 hours. I thought I was allergic until I read so many others' reviews. This could be used as a very effective form of torture. I'm a registered nurse, & I feel this should be yanked off the counter due to its severe side effects. I'm scarred for life. NEVER AGAIN."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I purchased Monistat 1 because it's Christmas Eve and every OBGYN around is closed until Monday, and if you've had a yeast infection before, you definitely wouldn't want to wait until the holidays are over to get to a doctor. Around 7 a.m., I inserted the ovule and then decided to read reviews. Big mistake. Within 10 minutes, I was on fire. My symptoms weren't even that bad before I used Monistat, but it multiplied my pain by 100! It distracted me from the YI pain and just set me on fire for hours. It's now 7 p.m. and it has not stopped yet, and everything below is just so numb and sore. The burning is terrible. I ended up rushing to urgent care an hour ago and getting something prescribed for the YI. I would not recommend this to anyone!"

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've suffered from YIs over the course of 20 years and have never had the issues I am experiencing now. I used Monistat-1 for the first time 5 days ago, and my symptoms have only gotten terribly worse. Intense itching, burning, and pain. The ovule is completely different than the usual applicators filled with silky cream. Normally, after using the cream, I experience heavy discharge followed by relief. But this time, I have actually been in more distress since using the concentrated ovule. My gf said she had the exact same reaction after using the 1-day application and resorted to going back to the 3-day treatment, which helped. I'm literally in tears from the itching, burning, and pain associated with this hellacious YI."

Tioconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "OK, so I'm a 21-year-old virgin, and I won't lie, I've never been to the gyne to get a YI diagnosis. I just asked my mom. I described the symptoms; she said it was just a YI, so I said I think I'll just buy a Monistat. Never really knew much about this product, so I just grabbed the first one I saw that said 1-day treatment. I thought, sweet, bye-bye YI. Well, I put it in around 7:30 and took a short nap before my night shift at 10. As I was headed to work, I noticed a burning sensation. Then I went to the bathroom, and OMG, after I peed and wiped, it was hellfire on my poor virgin vag. Have no idea how to get this liquid fire out of me. I discharged a huge bunch of it after that; it ebbed a bit, not much though, still hot, sore, and swollen.); I hope I didn't break my V."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "It's been one full week since I've taken this medication. I just feel gross down there, like a weird itchy, fuzzy, sore feeling. It was horrible at first, but I guess the pain in general has gotten better. Just feels like there are tiny bugs down there, don't know how else to describe it. Medication probably messed with my nerve endings."
