For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had symptoms for 2 days. I picked up the 1 over the 7-day because I liked how you insert the medicine into the infected area. I read these reviews after I had purchased and hesitated. I took a shower before bed, inserted the ovule, and braced myself... I watched TV for about an hour in bed before falling asleep just fine. I woke in the morning-zero 'pain,' just the discomfort from the YI I had already been feeling before. During the day, the swelling and burning did increase, but nothing unbearable. That night, I took a shower and peed before going to bed, and about 80% of it plopped out in the toilet. By morning, the swelling went down, and I felt amazing! Such relief!! More days later, and now it's even better. Worked great for me."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Y'all. Okay. So I tried this about a year and a half ago, and it was awful. But I forgot about that and bought it again today and didn't remember my last experience until my best friend said something after I had already inserted this little egg from the pits of hell. I was fine for the first 3 hours, so I thought I was in the clear. Took a shower. Dried off. Then felt a little itchy, so I decided to apply the external cream before going to bed. Apparently, this cream is the detonator. Cue the most severe burning, itching, and tingling of my life. Scooped out what I could with a cold towel. Also, do NOT get any on your back end hole because that will burn too. Currently cooling off in front of my fan. Never again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had been prescribed antibiotics, and unfortunately, had a YI within just a few days. I did lots of research but wanted it to go away as quickly as possible. I bought the Monistat 1, and inserted it as I was getting ready for bed. As soon as I laid down, I was reading reviews and immediately was so scared with the terribly painful reviews that some have posted that I couldn't sleep with the anticipation of pain I was about to feel. I stayed awake for four hours and felt no pain, for about 20 minutes, I felt a little bit uncomfortable, but nothing close to what was explained on here. I guess everyone handles pain differently, but it did the job, and by the second day, I was all better."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh. My. God. I thought my YI was bad before I used Monistat, and now I'm wishing for that 'pain and itching' to return to me. Lord in heaven. I paid a lot for this, and my honey pot is BURNING. Not just uncomfortable, I'm literally dancing around and yelling curse words as I'm typing this. I can't take it anymore. I need to ice my vagina. I never thought I would ever NEED to ice my vagina. But thanks, Monistat. The grandest of canyons has been scorched by satan's nectar."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm 17, and this is my second yeast infection. The first time I used Monistat 3, and I didn't have any itching or burning that I do now while using Monistat 1. This pain is excruciating. I took it around 7 pm, I didn't feel anything until 8:30 pm. I knew I had the infection only a day ago, so I bought this one for faster relief, not knowing it was going to cause more itching and burning than the actual infection. I could not stop complaining to my mom, so I sat with my legs wide open in front of the fan to cool it down. I hope this is just the medicine working."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Please save yourself from this misery. If you are reading this too late, may the force be with you. I am on day 3 now of using the 1-day treatment, and every night has been a total nightmare. It burns so immensely, and there's nothing you can do about it but wait it out and pray it subsides soon. It's like acid fire in your hoo-ha, you can't even sleep or do anything else except say, 'OMG!' over and over. I feel so helpless. Sitting in a warm tub, 2nd night now, with salt water, trying to soothe my poor burning vag, please stop burning soon! I called the doc, and they said the ingredients are way too strong and have seen a lot of patients suffer in the same way. Next time, Diflucan pill only! If I ever live to make it to next time."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Never again. Whatever you're going through, this product will raise your pain and discomfort to hellish levels. Go Diflucan, or a 3-day, or a 7-day... anything but this one. The pain is killing me right now."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "NO & HELL NO!!!! After not even 2 hours, my poor vagina and vulvar area was burning, itching worse than the YI did, and all was inflamed. Came on here THEN read the reviews. I jumped in the shower and washed everything off of me/in me as best as I could. I am now lying in bed, in November, with the ceiling fan on (no ice pack), cooling my poor affected areas down. Don't use the strongest formula. As for me, I'll go back to other methods... even the nausea I get with Dipluran is better than this!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I made an account here just to write a review on this product. Before taking this, I had already heard some bad things, but I decided to go ahead and try it anyway. Once I inserted the product, I started reading more reviews and literally went into a panic because of how bad people were saying this was. After about an hour, I felt a little tingly/irritation down there, but it wasn't painful, just a little annoying and uncomfortable. The second I felt that, I took two Tylenol extra strength, just in case this feeling started getting worse. I'm not sure if they prevented any pain or if the product just didn't get worse, but I wasn't in pain at all while using this. Maybe I'm lucky, or maybe the Tylenol helped. Don't be scared of using this product because of all the reviews, there are plenty of people like me who are fine and probably don't take the time to review it as they have happily moved on with their lives (pain, burn, and itch free)!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've had yeast infections before but have always caught them early enough to take care of with home remedies. I wasn't as fortunate this time around... My YI symptoms became too unbearable today (to the point I almost left work 'sick' to go home and wallow in my misery), so I picked up the Monistat 1 Maximum Strength ovule. Not sure if their idea of maximum strength means singe a woman's vagina with fire until there are no nerve endings left in there to itch, but OMG!!! I inserted the ovule around 9:30 pm, and about 30 minutes later, it began to itch and burn a million times worse than any YI I've ever experienced. I had to take an Epsom salt bath and get as much of it out as I could. HORRIBLE, NEVER AGAIN."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had vaginal itching, burning, and my vulva was swollen from a yeast infection. I was just miserable! I went to my local pharmacy and bought Monistat 1 (which I have never used before) because I wanted to get rid of the itchiness and burning as quick as I could. I inserted the ovule, and I did experience some excessive burning for a few hours, but after that, the burning subsided, and now it's been about 10 hours, and I already feel so much better! I would recommend it, and if I ever get another yeast infection, I will buy it again!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This 1-day Monistat... I will never try again. I wasn't even burning at first, just an itch from taking an antibiotic. This egg I inserted made my pocketbook burn. I don't recommend this product if you can't stand a constant burn to your private area."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used the 1-day yesterday and inserted it at 11:30 a.m. with a panty liner. No burning, just the annoying leakage, which is why I used the liner. It relieved the discomfort of the yeast infection right away. I've never used this medication before, but would use it again. Today, the burning and itching are gone, and everything is clearing up."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Fire in the hole! In my opinion, to use this product, you have to be a sadist or a psycho. I'm on a strong course of antibiotics for an upper respiratory infection, and as a present, I got a yeast infection as a result. I decided to use the 1-day treatment to just get it over with, and it may be the worst decision of my life. Within moments after I administered the treatment, I began with an intense burning and itching sensation that was worse than the infection's symptoms. I just hit a home run with my shower head to try and alleviate the discomfort and rid myself of the devil cream. I would not recommend nor ever use it again. User beware!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was so nervous after reading all the horrible reviews about this product, maybe it's just me, or I have a pretty durable vagina because I didn't experience any pain. A little burning, but that's because it's such a high dosage of medicine, I guess. Overall, I liked it, and it worked for me. I'll definitely be buying it again if need be."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Please, ladies, if you've found these reviews and haven't bought Monistat and were recommended it or are considering it, DO NOT PURCHASE IT. Please just go to your gynecologist or find some other alternative. As every other female on here has said, this should be removed from stores. I constantly suffer from severe cramps to the point of shaking, vomiting, fainting, and sweating, but this is a million times worse. It feels as if someone dumped lighter fluid into my vagina and set it on fire. It's 1:14 am, I put it in about 2 hours ago, and I know I'm not going to get sleep whatsoever. I feel like I cannot move or even think, I'm to the point of tears. I wish I could get a refund of my money, and honestly, if I were strong enough to get up, I'd go to the emergency room. Please do not buy this product. It comes with a tube of cream that's supposed to relieve side effects, but it honestly makes matters worse. This little cream egg is literally Satan's hatchling. Please do not buy it, PLEASE."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This product made my yeast infection 1 million times worse. It caused extreme chemical burns from my vagina to rectum, which I’ve been treating for over a month. In addition to the chemical burns, there was nerve damage that caused the burning sensation to last for over a month. Do not use this product."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "As everyone else suggests, DO NOT BUY. I’ve been hit by a car, and that pain was less than this medicine. I put it in about two days ago and have been in excruciating pain since then. I can barely walk and have been lying in bed for almost two days straight. This stuff even kickstarted my depression, and I have been crying all day, haven’t been able to eat, can barely pee without the burning making me see stars. The pain is so bad I have almost blacked out. This stuff is awful, will never use again, and it should be OFF THE SHELVES."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I felt the YI coming on and decided to try Monistat oval on Sunday night. Woke up Monday morning on fire. It was so bad I felt like my vagina had been sentenced to hell. I left work early and went to see my PCP, she ordered Diflucan. By midday, my vagina had swollen so bad I was walking gap-legged and couldn't wear any panties. So, I decided to ice it and take Motrin to help with the inflammation. It helped a lot, but here it is day 2 and I'm still slightly swollen, itching, twitching inside, and extremely sensitive. I would never ever ever use another Monistat product. It literally feels like someone poured gas on my vagina and struck a match. Ladies, avoid this product like the plague."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am 66 and have had yeast infections in my day, but never was the cure so monumentally more painful than the condition. I put in the ampule, expecting sweet relief, and within 2 hours I was a raving lunatic with burning and itching beyond belief in my lady parts. I decided my best option was to GET. IT. OUT., and sent poor Grandpa to the pharmacy to get a douche bag. Picture that, people. Sweet relief and never again!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I purchased the Monistat 1 ovule Monday night and inserted it around 9 something. As I was laying down, I started to read the reviews on here and got scared for my life because I was scared that I would endure that burning and itching. I actually didn't have any problems with that... but the second time I put the external cream on, I damn near died. It burned so bad that I hurried up and ran to the bathroom to take a shower. I think I used it too close in time... but it's now the next day and I feel wonderful. No more itching or burning, just discharge still from the medicine coming out."
