For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm 18, and I've had a yeast infection once before in my life. After using the meds right before bed (as suggested), I went to sleep feeling a burning sensation. But I expected that much. Waking up at 4 a.m. (now), I'm begging someone to drive me to the hospital because the burning is so bad, and my labia minora have swollen to the size of God knows what. I definitely do not recommend this product to anyone."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Do NOT use this medication. It is WAY too strong. Caused VERY swollen and painful labia. Had to go to the doctor and get prescription steroids in order to calm down the reaction. Possibly try the 7-day. Do not do the 1-day. Way too potent and causes very strong reactions."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm reading a lot of bad reviews, and the common complaint is burning, itching, and swelling. Well, if you read the pamphlet before using, you will see in fine print it says may cause burning, itching, and swelling due to the medicine actually doing its job. I'd rather feel that than the most annoying itch ever in my vagina. I find the one-day treatment works better than those seven-day treatments, and I would buy again, but hopefully I won't need it either ever again or for a very, very long time because vaginal itching is the worst. I would give this review a 10, but it cost $20.00 lol. But I understand for something to be cured, it's gonna cost."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I went into urgent care knowing that I most likely was getting a YI. She prescribed me a pill and told me to get Monistat. I decided to do Monistat 1 day. I decided to use it in the middle of the night that night. I woke up with the most swollen and burning vagina of my life. It’s now 8:30 pm the next night, and I’m still just as swollen. I’ve iced all day long, and nothing. I hope when I wake up tomorrow I have some relief. Please don’t ever use this product."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I never thought to search for reviews before using a medication, but I will from now on. I used this medication for the first time last night, and by morning, my vulva and clitoris were swollen and extremely tender and painful. It hurts to walk, even, and burns when I urinate. It seems as though this is a fairly common reaction, judging by the reviews--makes me wonder why this is on the market?"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Is there a lawsuit going? I got a yeast infection from antibiotics recently, and years ago I used the 3-day with no issues. Well, yesterday I was desperate for relief and got the 1-day. I popped it in and felt fine. ... Then, the flamethrower, kerosene on a grill, indescribable pain set in. Never EVER in my life have I had pain like this, and I have had my share of ailments. I don’t know what sick person decided to call this 'relief.' And the 'anti-itching cream' was like applying alcohol or salt to my bits. I am swollen and crying from the searing pain I’m in. I have a week of meetings, dates, and events ahead, which is why I opted for the 1-day instead of the 3-day. Walking to my bathroom is a struggle. I honestly thought I was having a horrific allergic reaction until I read reviews! How ON EARTH is this torture device on the market?! A warning for everyone with a vagina to STAY FAR AWAY. Praying for the rest of my victims here."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG, had a little itching and redness, so decided to save a trip to the gyno and bought Monistat 1 cream-filled application. I took it at 9:00 pm. Within minutes, I felt tingling and burning but thought that was part of the process. I fell asleep and awoke a few hours later because I felt like I had something in between my legs, and the pain and burning were so severe. Got a mirror and screamed, my VJ was the size of a pear! I looked deformed, like nothing I ever seen. It was swollen 10 times normal size. I was laying on the floor crying. I read about how many other women this happened to, and one suggested a douche with cold water. Try to get the cream out, although so much already absorbed into the vagina. Helped a little. BEWARE."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Horrible reaction to the 3-day product after the second application. Agonizing swelling and burning. Took about 4 days for swelling and burning to subside to minimal level. Next time I'll go to the doctor and get an oral version. May work okay for some, but recommend doing a patch test first."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Do not use! The burn, like stated in other posts, was like a chemical burn. It was so bad that I had my husband rush me to the urgent care, where the doctor stated it looked like a chemical burn, and she had never seen one that bad. Not to mention it caused major swelling and open flesh. She gave me a shot to deal with the pain. It has been 5 days and just now healing to the point that it doesn't hurt as bad to walk and sit."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Burned like a blow torch for about 5 hours. Laid in bed with ice packs and cried. After 5 hours of torture and a couple of showers, it started to calm down enough for me to doze off. Awoke the next morning with it still burning and swollen. As I was trying to get ready for work, it got worse. Went to the doctor and got Diflucan. I will NEVER use Monistat EVER again. It took an annoying issue and turned it into a catastrophe. Wasted money on the product and cost me more to go to the doctor and take a day off work."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Bad experience with this product. I couldn't take the itchiness anymore, and my appointment was the next day, so I bought it hoping it would help...nope! I got worse. Now my labia and vulva are swollen. It hurts when I pee, it's hard to sit and move around. I'm just waiting for it to get better now, and hopefully, it'll go away."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "All these reviews couldn't be any more on point. I am going to email the company tomorrow to share this experience and the link with all these reviews. Talk about ruining my Valentine's Day, lol. I bought this product today, inserted it around 4:00 p.m. It is now 10:00 p.m., and I am on fire. I just took a shower to clean it all out, but it doesn't help. My vagina is so swollen, it's terrible. I took the advice to use an ice pack, and it seems to be helping a little, but the itching is driving me insane. Please don't buy this product if you haven't already."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I think my entire vagina got 1st degree burns from this medication. I inserted this egg, and within a couple of hours, I felt like I needed a hospital. It was burning, itching, and swollen. After 2 days, I had to go to the gyno. He said that was a bad choice because there are ingredients that shouldn't be in there because they are not good for the vagina. Obviously, so he gave me a cream for the swelling. The yeast infection is gone, but I still feel like I have to heal from this still, and it was 1 1/2 weeks later. Never again!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I caught my yeast infection early on, and my symptoms were mild. I thought it would be smart to nip it in the bud and use medication before it got worse! I wanted to use Monistat 1 that way I could take it during the day. It felt fine for about an hour, but after the medicine began to drain, it slowly intensified all symptoms to the point of misery! The burning and swelling are unbearable. I finally just showered and removed all of it in hopes it will calm down! Definitely not worth it!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I noticed that I had the beginnings of a yeast infection, and I wanted it gone before it could completely come to term. So a day after I first noticed the infection (the itching and burning hadn't begun yet, only clumpy discharge), I decided to take Monistat 1. I chose this medication because I had a date with sexy time scheduled for later in the week, and I didn't want my yeast infection to get in the way. I took the medication during my lunch break, and a couple of hours later I felt a warm, burning sensation. For me, the side effects were uncomfortable, but they were not unbearable. By the end of the night, the warm burning sensation was gone, but my clit felt a bit swollen. The next day I felt great and had only minor discharge."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Alright, ladies. I seriously suggest doing your research before using this product. My mother has used this product with no problems in the past, so when I got my first yeast infection this week, she had no reservations about getting this medication for me. Unfortunately, I had to go to Urgent Care two days later, due to severe swelling and pain. The doctor knew immediately that I had taken Monistat and said that it is common that this product makes the infection much worse. So I guess if you feel like flipping a coin on whether or not you want a swollen vagina, by all means, go ahead. Instead, I suggest you go to an Urgent Care center. The bill will not be ridiculous, and the prescription cost me $8 at Walmart. Best of luck."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have been sick for a few days, and on top of that, ended up getting a YI. Great. My boyfriend, being the wonderful guy he is, went to the store and got me Monistat 1. I figured, like everyone else, that it would work faster than the 3-day treatment that I used last time. I inserted the egg just before bed and slept through the night. When I woke the next morning, the pain was almost unbearable. I tried taking a bath, blasting it with the water and ice packs, but it just kept getting worse. Before bed the following day, I looked... bad idea, my vag looked like a crime scene. There are open sores, and it's very swollen, it almost looks like it was dipped in acid. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!!! NOT WORTH IT!!!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I usually do the 3-day Monistat, but grabbed the Monistat 1-day this time. NEVER AGAIN!!! Do NOT use this product. I fully support removing this product. I'm super sick from the flu. I went to the doctor and was put on antibiotics. So I was smart and just picked up the Monistat when I picked my antibiotics. I had woken up uncomfortable and knew it was time to use the Monistat. That night, right before bed, I used said product. As soon as I used it, it started to burn. By morning, everywhere on my body it had touched, I developed chemical burns. Went straight to the ER because of the pain and swelling. I was unable to urinate or defecate because of the swelling. I was completely swollen, crack to crack, and red swelling down the inside of my legs!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "At first, I was skeptical because of the reviews I read... But of course, I had read the reviews, lol, after I had already inserted the medication... I was so scared to fall asleep... I literally was waiting on the horrible experiences I've read about, but thank God I didn't.... It worked great... I'm glad I bought it... Maybe you guys have had allergic reactions and didn't know.... Idc, but like I said, it worked wonders for me. No itching, no horrid burning or swelling... Just a lot of discharge, other than that, it was great."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Seconds after inserting this medication, it felt like the fire of 1,000 burning suns had crawled up inside me. To say my vag was swollen would be putting it lightly. I am currently in bed trying to sleep and praying to the labia gods to make this awful feeling go away. I wish I could give it a 0/10."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I read a lot of scary reviews before I went out and bought the overnight anyway... Either those reviews are exaggerated extremely, or I got lucky. The burning was pretty minimal, you have to also consider the medicine is doing a job in one night instead of seven... So there will be itching and burning. It's about twenty hours into treatment, and it itches a little, but when you get a yeast infection, it causes little tiny cuts on the inside. This is why it itches and burns a bit! All in all, it seems to be doing its job, and the pain is not horrendous (for me anyway). If you start experiencing pain or swelling, try Benadryl or ibuprofen respectively!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT USE THIS!! Product. I went from uncomfortable from the YI to burning and inflamed in just an hour! Ran to the bathroom and tried to rinse with cool water. It's been 45 min, and I'm still in misery. I honestly hope I didn't hurt anything permanently! OMG, idk what to do."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I never write reviews, but I feel morally obligated to tell everyone that if you love your vagina, don't ever use this! This was the most painful experience of my life. I cried for 2 hours. This devil's egg feels like beehives and fire ants crawled up your vagina, and you can't get it out. Still waiting to see if it cured my infection, but it's been 15 hours, and my vagina is so swollen inside every time I walk. It feels like it's chafing. DO NOT USE THIS!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used this treatment, and I did feel the itching, burning, and the swelling. I took it at 5 pm, and by 12 pm, all that seemed to ease. The next morning, I felt way better than before. I recommend the treatment."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am 18 years old and started having a yeast infection, so I took Monistat One without looking at the reviews. I applied it at night, but when I woke, my vagina swelled to three times its size, and I had an unbearable itch and burn. The MOST PAINFUL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. I quickly rushed to the emergency room where they had to flush the medicine out of me, and they prescribed me steroids. I will never recommend Monistat to anyone, especially after all the horror stories I have seen online. Please DO NOT use this medicine, go to the doctor where they will prescribe you a pill. It will make life so much easier!!!!"
