For Pain "Don't like it. I suffer from lower back pain and mental health issues. So usually prescribed co-codamol and diazepam. The codeine only works for mild aches, really, but not if I bend, etc. Anyway, I tried this last night, and although it does eliminate pain more, waking up this morning, the side effects are horrible. I feel more like I've taken antidepressants, amitriptyline, or Zoloft. I felt so anxious and weird, like everyone knew I'm weird. Even my eyes looked weird. I had urgent matters I needed to deal with at the moment, and I was on a roll going through stuff yesterday, feeling more confident. Now I can't speak and paranoid someone will knock at the door. Eyes rolling. No concentration, and unsteady with low moods. I will give it a score of 5 because it did help one night, and I slept well. Obviously, others have stated it helped them, so for them, I've evened it to a 5. But for me, the side effects are not worth it."

Tapentadol for Pain "First visit to the pain clinic put me on 75 mg Nucynta. Worst experience ever with medicine. Had to call 911, thought I was dying. Rapid heart, dizziness, shortness of breath."

Tapentadol for Pain "I have been using Nucynta for more than 8 years for the management of chronic migraine pain headaches. I have used the I/R versions as well as the E/R versions both in 50 and 100 mg strengths. I prefer Nucynta because it doesn't cause in me sleepiness, euphoria, or a 'dizziness high' like other opioids. I opted out of the 100 mg E/R because prolonged use, while extremely helpful, was causing sleepiness. A year ago, I asked my PM doctor to prescribe the I/R 50 mg dose, knowing if the migraine doesn't abate, I can safely take a second dose. Nucynta is only one of the tools in my migraine management toolbox and find it has been a blessing, primarily because it works well, isn't addictive, and isn't dangerous when taken as directed. I don't drink alcohol any longer from fear of a bad interaction, so it has also helped me shed some pounds, too. I recommend Nucynta for pain management."
