For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been taking Wegovy for 8 months now. My start weight was 287 lbs, and now I am down to 230 lbs. My goal when I started was to get down to 220 lbs. I thought that would be impossible, but I am 10 lbs away from my goal, down 57 lbs and still counting. Very happy with Wegovy."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have had non-alcoholic fatty liver disease for 10 years. My first 5 years after diagnosis, my diet consisted of a very clean diet. Low sodium, 1000 mg per day, boneless chicken, salads, fruits, and vegetables. By year 6, after losing 20 pounds, my diet remained the same and I started gaining weight again. My last five years, I gained my 20 pounds back. I am closer to 50, do not drink alcohol, have been taking Wegovy now for 4 weeks, no symptoms or side effects. I still eat a very clean diet, I find I am full faster and for longer than in the past. I also stopped eating supper at 7:30 at night. I don’t wake up hungry in the morning and feel positive about my first 4 weeks. I also exercise by walking, take vitamin D3 and calcium, I have limited mobility for high-impact workouts because I have 8 herniated discs in my cervical spine, thoracic spine, and lumbar spine. My BMI is 35, I am 5’2” and weigh 197 pounds at the start."

It took me 3 years to get on Wegovy through the Veterans Affairs. I am so glad this drug has been approved. I have lymphedema, and I have hardly any swelling. My cholesterol and blood pressure are down. I am feeling proud of myself for pursuing getting on Wegovy."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am on my 10th dose of Wegovy now, and I have lost 9 kg already from 73 kg to 64 kg! I was struggling with my weight before and felt so much pain in my body. Now that I am on medication and have been losing weight, all that pain is gone. How amazing is that! My palpitations were gone too, and same with my cyst pain on the left ovary! It's been 3 months of using, and all I can say is it's working great for me! My workout routine is getting better too. Minimal side effects only, especially when I started using it for a few weeks, but it was manageable. Worth it!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "No adverse side effects. Just took 8th injection and last at 0.5 mg. Next week, dosage goes to 1 mg. Down 16 pounds in 7 weeks. I was already taking Metamucil every morning, so no constipation as some have reported, but I am having less bowel movements now. I imagine I would be constipated without it. Also take Nexium daily, so heartburn really hasn't been an issue more than it already was. Started at 6 ft and 251 pounds. Was 235 today. Goal is between 180 and 200."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Wegovy in April 2024. I was 193 lbs at just between 5’1”-5’2.5. I had tried everything, but food noise and the fact that being so short, the calorie intake had to be so low to lose weight. Anyway, the first thing I noticed was a bit of nausea. That went away after a few days. I have had very minimal side effects. Sometimes a little nausea, constipation, or diarrhea. Nothing to really disrupt my life. For the first time in my life, I actually can tell when I am full. My IBS has been almost non-existent. I’m more awake. I have fewer sweet cravings. The food noise is still there, but my stomach is able to signal my brain that if I eat more, I will feel sick. I have lost to date 4/2024-3/2025, 63 lbs. I am just about to hit my normal weight goal. I knew how to lose the weight. I am someone who has a very difficult time shedding the weight with exercise and diet. I am super grateful for this opportunity to prove that a drug works so well."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been on Wegovy since September 2024. To date, I've lost about 30 pounds. I've had very mild side effects, a little nausea occasionally, particularly the first few days after increasing dosage. I have ongoing GI issues that have made it worse a few times in the last 6 months, but nothing too serious. I was nervous about injecting myself weekly, but it has been relatively easy and painless for me. I'm finally getting clear signals to stop eating when I'm full. I used to think eating a full plate of pasta was no big deal, and now I eat less pasta in general, but if I do, I aim for no more than half, and usually it's closer to a third of a plate with the addition of a small side of non-starchy vegetables. I've been seeing a nutritionist too, and they've been so helpful in making lifelong diet changes. Right before I started taking Wegovy, I looked at the reviews on here and it nearly scared me away. I'm so glad it didn't. Wegovy has been such a helpful tool in my health journey."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've currently lost 12 kgs in 2 months, and due to the ongoing beneficial effects at .5, I've stayed at this dosage. However, I constantly feel dehydrated even though I'm drinking plenty of water throughout the day. The consequences are that I need to take laxatives at least once per week, or I have no bowel movements. Other than this inconvenience, all is good, and I'm still very happy with the results, which have left me feeling fitter and healthier."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on this drug for over two months, and it is fantastic. No side effects (just very mild in the first few days). I have stayed on the lowest dose of 0.25 mg so far, as I am losing weight gradually each week. I am eating healthily and keeping an eye on roughly how many calories I consume a day (this is so I don’t overeat or undereat. I want to have enough strength and energy for work and sport too). The drug is like a friend who has your back. You still enjoy food and can still feel hungry, but your appetite is reduced, as are cravings for unhealthy food. It’s a miracle! For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I haven't experienced any side effects taking Wegovy. I can say I did start my whole journey with Ozempic in August 2023, right after my hysterectomy. Switching from Ozempic to Wegovy was a great move. I have had a wonderful experience being on it, my palpitations are really under control, my blood pressure is way down, and I even lost weight that I put on during menopause. I also have had high cholesterol (which is extremely high in our genes), and my last draw was good, even my A1c is down to a 4.6 from an average of always 5.3. I'm not constantly gulping water like a fish anymore and feel great, and I don't feel swollen like a balloon 24/7. My hot flashes went away along with the mood swings, and even my IBS has not been an issue. The only problems I have had is my insurance/pre-authorization to get coverage, so that's made it very hard to be on this because it has truly changed my whole life."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Wegovy for 10 weeks and have lost 40 pounds. I’m on a 0.25 dose and haven’t had to go up yet. Losing 2-3 pounds per week. The only side effect is constipation and dry mouth right after the injection and only lasts for 10 minutes. No complaints. Love the product! My insurance refuses to cover it. The doctor filed appeals and they still refused to approve. Will continue to use it for a few months to get to my goal weight."

I'm on a Medicare Advantage insurance, and the med was approved. I have been on it for 2.5 months and am down 25 pounds. I haven't had any noticeable side effects except insane constipation. I already had issues with that, so I take a Linzess every morning, and that does the trick. I started noticing the curbed appetite the day after my first dose. It's not as intense now, but I have zero food noise, and I just can't eat like I used to. I have had migraines for 35+ years, and I haven't had one since starting Wegovy. I don't think it's my weight loss or improved eating habits, I think it's the medication. Before I became disabled, I was a size 4 and ate very healthy, but had 12+ migraine days per month. I inject my dose in the stomach each week and have never had any reaction to the injection. Overall, I am thrilled with Wegovy so far."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was at my heaviest in July, recovering from knee surgery-recovering from major abdominal surgery before ever being placed on Wegovy. I suffered with several issues due to increased weight gain, all the typical-some depression, never being able to lose more than 8 lbs., and then giving up. It's a struggle, and it was real. Prediabetic, having beginning stages of heart issues, orthopedically, beginning to have major issues with my joints and body. So many issues due to the increased weight gain from medicines and lifestyle. It was taking its toll. I started Wegovy in July (end of the month) at 279.8 pounds, my heaviest, and getting heavier every day. Today, February 11th-Injection day-and I weigh myself and keep track weekly on my phone. I'm at 238.4 pounds. I'm down 41.4 pounds and so proud of myself and my accomplishments. I'm at 1.0 shot and feeling well. I'm happier than ever, and I'm not looking back. For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "70 pounds down and maintained for over a year now. Wegovy in conjunction with a high-protein, low-carb food plan does it right. I am convinced that the majority of negative outcomes are due to people just shooting the drug and making no changes to their diet. Stay off the sugar, keep your carb intake to vegetables and limited fruits only. Constipation avoided by adding a magnesium citrate supplement. (I use Calm)."
