For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been taking Wegovy since September (2024). I initially did not like the way it made me feel. I was experiencing constipation, headaches, and nausea. My next dose was 0.50, which the pharmacy was out of until this past April 2025. I was determined to see if I could withstand the side effects. My appetite was suppressed immediately. I experienced constipation, which I counteracted with stool softeners every day. I took Zofran for the nausea. I had started riding my stationary bike around the same time that I started Wegovy. On April 17th, 2025, I started walking 30 minutes a day. I am now at a 1.7 dose. Side effects are minimal. I noticed that if I am constipated, I would get nauseous. Stay away from heavy grease. I consume a protein shake every morning and try to eat meat as much as I can as I do not really have a taste for meat or I no longer like alcohol. I am happy that I tried it again. I am 6'1" and was 283. I am 266. I want to be 240. Yay!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started Wegovy in April 2024. I was 193 lbs at just between 5’1”-5’2.5. I had tried everything, but food noise and the fact that being so short, the calorie intake had to be so low to lose weight. Anyway, the first thing I noticed was a bit of nausea. That went away after a few days. I have had very minimal side effects. Sometimes a little nausea, constipation, or diarrhea. Nothing to really disrupt my life. For the first time in my life, I actually can tell when I am full. My IBS has been almost non-existent. I’m more awake. I have fewer sweet cravings. The food noise is still there, but my stomach is able to signal my brain that if I eat more, I will feel sick. I have lost to date 4/2024-3/2025, 63 lbs. I am just about to hit my normal weight goal. I knew how to lose the weight. I am someone who has a very difficult time shedding the weight with exercise and diet. I am super grateful for this opportunity to prove that a drug works so well."

I've had very mild side effects, a little nausea occasionally, particularly the first few days after increasing dosage. I have ongoing GI issues that have made it worse a few times in the last 6 months, but nothing too serious. I was nervous about injecting myself weekly, but it has been relatively easy and painless for me. I'm finally getting clear signals to stop eating when I'm full. I used to think eating a full plate of pasta was no big deal, and now I eat less pasta in general, but if I do, I aim for no more than half, and usually it's closer to a third of a plate with the addition of a small side of non-starchy vegetables. I've been seeing a nutritionist too, and they've been so helpful in making lifelong diet changes. Right before I started taking Wegovy, I looked at the reviews on here and it nearly scared me away. I'm so glad it didn't. Wegovy has been such a helpful tool in my health journey."

I have titrated up accordingly, and to this date, I have currently lost 100 lbs with only diet modification due to mobility restrictions. I was borderline diabetic with high cholesterol before I started. As for side effects, I struggled with overwhelming nausea up to the 2.4 mg dose, and now I only have nausea the first day of the injection or if I eat something that doesn't agree with me or I eat one bite too much. Personally, I have found having this medication available to me extremely beneficial, as I gained 100+ lbs due to medical issues and mobility restrictions over a four-year period. I feel so much better, I look better, and my labs are WAY better. The injection is easy to use."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "First day of injection, Aug 19th, 2024 SW - 236 pounds. November 22nd, 2024 last injection to date CW - 217 currently on 1.0 mg dose. Have not done anything extraordinary, try to make healthy choices and drink lots of water. Sometimes go for walks. Will continue to use this until I've reached ideal numbers. I like it, no problems so far. Just need to pay attention to hydration and nutrition. Sometimes experience nausea, drink water, take a Gravol. Also take a multivitamin but don't combine too many things unless you speak with a doctor. I'll post an update after Christmas."

I titrated up through the doses with some nausea while doing that, but manageable and tolerable. I began to see the weight come off gradually. Now I've been on the maintenance dose of 2.4 for 5-6 months and currently fluctuate between 143-145 pounds, weighing 143 today. I must say Wegovy was the best choice I've made with all other failed attempts to lose weight. I am no longer pre-diabetic, and I no longer take blood pressure medication. My labs look great as well. I am amazingly pleased with my progress while on this Wegovy journey, and my doctor was pleased with my progress at my recent annual physical appointment. For anyone hesitant about trying this medication, it is a game changer and REALLY works over time. For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I'm 60 years old, started taking Wegovy for weight loss, high blood pressure, high cholesterol. I’ve been on the medication now for 10 weeks. My starting weight was 296. Currently, I weigh 266, and my numbers are great. The cons are I only feel good 4 days a week. The first 3 days after the injection are tough: nausea, headaches. But as far as I’m concerned, it works great. I’m not hungry at all. I feel much better. Another added bonus for me was I was a heavy drinker. On this medication, I have no desire to drink at all. I went from 5 cases a week to absolutely nothing. I don’t miss it at all. Miracle drug."

I really had no bad symptoms, however, due to availability, I had to stay on a few of the doses for a couple of months at a time. I am now at the highest dose, and this one and the one before did cause a little nausea, but it goes away. I started at 320 lbs, I am now down to 210 lbs. My goal was to lose half of me, so I'm still working on the last 50 lbs, averaging 2 to 5 lbs a month or so, sometimes more. So good luck to you all. For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have taken 1 dose of the 0.25 mg. Tomorrow I will be taking my 2nd dose. So it has been 6 days for me. I have already lost 4 lbs. I was very nauseated and had some heartburn the first 24 hours after I took the dose. It got better with Pepto-Bismol and Tums. I didn't really get sick after that day. I don't have an appetite at all. I eat enough to keep me healthy, no more. I have gotten mild nausea once when I ate some chocolate chip cookies, but no nausea with healthy foods like fruit and veggies. I haven't done much exercise either."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I’m on the starter dose 0.25 mg. I have had zero side effects. Mild nausea in a car - not sure if related? No real appetite, but I am able to eat. No food aversions, but no cravings. I didn’t want a glass of wine after work. My clothes already feel different after 2 weeks. I’m so thankful to be on this journey as my primary did not support me asking for help losing weight. I do not overeat or have issues with food. I had a fractured knee, then a hip replacement, and then two fractured ankles. I was unable to move normally for 2.5 years and gained about 50 lbs. For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I gained 70 pounds during the pandemic. December 2019, I was 138 pounds standing at 5'3. Then in January 2021, I was 209. I started having back pain and foot pain from the weight. I tried dieting, but I am a single mom that doesn't have time to cook healthy every night, and I work around food, so I told my doctor he has to prescribe me something to lose weight. He saw it was taking a toll on my health as well, so he started me on .25 Wegovy injections. I lost 13 pounds my first month. I had nausea once or twice, nothing I couldn't handle, and I vomited only once. I even had more energy. Then he prescribed me the .5 the next month, but pharmacies all in a 30-mile radius were on backorder for the entire summer with no hopes of getting it in until the end of September. I kept being persistent with the pharmacist, and she said, have your doctor call me, he can up your milligram, and we can get that dose in 2 days, so at this point, I was desperate and starting to gain back the 13 pounds I lost. So I was upped to 1.7. OMG"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started on 03/27/23 - 50/F, 5’6”, 238 lbs. On 0.25 mg, I lost 6 lbs, on 0.50 mg, I lost 10 lbs. Currently, I am on my third dosage of 1.0 mg and have lost 6 lbs. Works great, given, and is so easy to inject. This is just what I needed to boost my weight loss after gaining weight after MVA! Some SEs. No issues with 0.25 mg and slight nausea with the first dosage of 0.50 mg, but only lasted the first night. Also, after 6 months of no cycle, I got it when I started the first dosage of 0.50 mg and 1.0 mg with painful cramps, but only lasted two days. Obviously, eating less because I have a minimal desire to eat, but I am making better choices when eating (lots of protein). Also, walking more within my physical limitations. Very grateful for this medication and insurance coverage! So far, so great!!!"

The side effects I have had are slight abdominal pain, acid reflux, nausea, and tiredness. I am 5’8 and was 244.5 lbs. To date, I am now 239 lbs - I’ve lost 6 lbs since 5-21-23. For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started approx. 3/29 and will begin my third step up to 1 mg this week. I have lost 23 lbs in 8 weeks. Very happy about that. My appetite is reduced. I can sometimes skip dinner because, after a light lunch and breakfast, I am not hungry. I have experienced fatigue, nausea, and constipation. However, if I eat something like an apple with peanut butter, that helps with the constipation. So far, these side effects are not bad enough for me to discontinue. I would like to feel better, but I am hoping it will improve. Fatigue is the worst for me because I also have another autoimmune disease that causes extreme tiredness. I am taking a multivitamin and see my doctor in a week, and I will discuss negative side effects. Right now, the benefits of losing weight are worth it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am very happy with Wegovy. I started at 298 lbs. After 1 month on the lowest dose, I have lost 14 lbs. I am on the 2nd week of the next dosage. Loss seems slower, so I am adding exercise. I did not exercise the first month. I did mess up my first injection and wasted a pen. So I really only used 3 pens the first month. Now it is super easy. I really only felt nauseous once or twice. It passed quickly without other medicine. I can’t eat a full meal anymore, and I have increased my water intake. I am happy so far and can’t wait to see how much more I lose by the top dose (about 3 months). I am 60, with arthritis in my hips and knees and I'm only 5’3”. The 14 lbs that I have lost seems to have helped my hips a little. Hopefully, more loss will help my knees. I only weigh myself when I change doses so that I don’t get discouraged. Also, I had to get pre-authorization from my insurance before I could get it."
