For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I took Wegovy for a month. I didn't experience terrible side effects, but did have intermittent dizziness and constipation issues. I eat a plant-based diet, so it wasn't a big adjustment to stop eating unhealthy food. I decided to give up alcohol, incorporated daily walks, and went back to the gym. I lost 9 lbs, which is huge given that I am 59 years old. One of the biggest changes that I made was to slow down while eating and being mindful of when I had the urge to eat. It has worked well, and since my last shot 3 weeks ago, I have lost another 2 lbs. I have given myself a year to lose the weight I want to lose and will hit my goal with a 1-2 lb loss per week. My fear of having rebound weight come back after stopping the medication motivated me to use Wegovy as a jump start. I would say that it was effective."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "On Wegovy 0.25 for 8 weeks with little effect. Now, starting 0.5 and hoping appetite suppression will start. I'm mid 80's, 230 pounds. The only side effects thus far are constipation and some drowsiness. Fiber gummies help the former, as does an occasional Colese tablet. A short nap helps the tiredness. I'm sticking to my normal diet but trying to eat less so my wife does not have to prepare different meals for me. Given my normal diet, I've read that losing 30 to 35 pounds over six months is a reasonable expectation."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started Wegovy in Oct 2021. Down 30 lbs. It definitely curbs your appetite. The first couple of months were getting used to the change in signals from my body. Hunger pains felt different and not so intense. I did experience nausea - the doctor prescribed an anti-nausea medicine that helped greatly. Constipation was also an issue - again, the doctor suggested Milk of Magnesia, which helped with that. This has absolutely been a game changer for me. My struggles before were always being hungry, and I mean always. No matter how I curbed my diet (not a junk food/pop drinker at all) and exercised, I just could not lose weight. I had to stop it last month, not because I wanted to, but because my insurance company refuses to cover it. Even though I completely qualify for coverage, they said because the manufacturer could not keep it in stock, they won't cover it. Now I'm trying to maintain the meal portioning I was used to on Wegovy, but it's harder now that the hunger feelings are back."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "My experience with Wegovy has been typical. I’ve experienced diarrhea and constipation, but all of it was manageable and comes and goes. I'm a believer. The medication is working for me. 45 lbs down in six months without working out due to a knee and back injury. I would 100% recommend it to anyone."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I’ve been on Wegovy for months now, I’m currently on the highest dosage. The first few months, the pounds dropped so fast. I do get nauseous and have constipation regularly, a few weeks after starting a new dosage. I’m having extreme hair loss and shedding, which is not listed as a side effect. Now, on this new dosage, my appetite is back, and I feel like I’m gaining some of the weight back. I find myself binge eating bad foods and don’t feel full. So, honestly, I’m not sure if I’ll continue. If it continued to work as it did in the beginning, I definitely would. I’ve lost a total of almost 45 pounds, but I definitely don’t want to gain it back. I wasn’t sure if the hair loss was related, but I’ve read a few other reviews that had the same side effect, so I’m leaning towards that. My husband has also been on it, and he doesn't like it at all, he hasn’t lost any weight, and he is on the 1 mg dose while I’m on 2.4 since I started before him."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I’ve been on Wegovy for 3 months and have gained 2 lbs. I have had side effects such as severe constipation, fatigue, and issues with my menstrual cycle. I am glad other people have had positive experiences with this drug, but it’s definitely no miracle. I decided I can make healthy changes without this medication. I stopped using it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am a 74-year-old male who weighed 250 when I started Wegovy. I am now a week into the 2.4 mg dosage and down to 224 lbs. My appetite has declined, and I no longer crave food. I have only one side effect, and that has been constipation. It started the day I began the medication and still continues. I am taking milk of magnesia, and it helps, but still not regular as I would like. I strongly recommend this drug."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Love this drug. I’ve lost 34 lbs with very little side effects. You do have to watch what you eat, some foods, especially fried foods, make you feel horrible. I’ve been on it for 1 year, which is good because I lost slowly, not all at once. The longer you keep the weight off. You do have to change your eating habits. In the beginning, I had a lot of heartburn, but I took OTC medicine, and eventually, I no longer had this problem. I’m not a big water drinker, so I’m trying to drink more water to help with constipation. You also have to limit your alcohol intake, so 1 glass of wine at dinner, and that’s it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Pretty severe constipation. Bloating the first couple of days after the weekly injection. Have to take laxatives to induce bowel movements. Now fasting a day after the injection or more to tolerate. Not sure if weight loss is due to the drug or now frequent fasting."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I’ve been on Wegovy for 3 months and have lost 18 lbs. I have had constant heartburn and constipation. I really haven’t felt good since I began with Wegovy. Stool softeners and an occasional suppository have helped. I keep hoping the heartburn will improve, but it doesn’t. Using liquid Mylanta for temporary relief. Think twice before starting. It’s definitely not a pleasant way to lose weight."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Been taking Wegovy for 2 months now. First month, very little side effects & lost 14 lbs. Second month, moved up to the 0.5 dose. Stomach issues started, mainly rumbling noises with diarrhea/constipation. Has gone on for weeks now (not days), so have referred myself to my GP."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Wegovy for 10 weeks and have lost 40 pounds. I’m on a 0.25 dose and haven’t had to go up yet. Losing 2-3 pounds per week. The only side effect is constipation and dry mouth right after the injection and only lasts for 10 minutes. No complaints. Love the product! My insurance refuses to cover it. The doctor filed appeals and they still refused to approve. Will continue to use it for a few months to get to my goal weight."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I began taking Wegovy in April. The first month was fine, no side effects, but I had to go up to 1 mg because nobody had the .5 mg. This was awful for me, with nausea and constipation. I did go up to the 1.7 mg, which in the first week I was fine. Then began the nausea, throwing up, I felt as if I was pregnant, just as the slightest smells would make me puke. As I got towards the end of my month on 1.7 mg, the sickness went away. I have decided to stay on the 1.7 mg for another month before moving up to the 2.4 mg. I also take it in my stomach, opposed to my arm or thigh. I plan to start taking it in my thigh to see if the side effects are as bad. I have currently lost 14 lbs while being on Wegovy."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Wegovy has helped me lose 50 pounds over the past 6 months. The shots were easy to inject with pre-measured pens. The side effects were minimal, but mostly feelings of fullness early on which kept me from overeating. The worst side effect was constipation, which I already had a problem with."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started on Wegovy 0.25 mg 5 weeks ago, and as soon as the day after, I felt the meds kick in right away, and I don’t feel hungry at all. I was so afraid that I might have some serious side effects, but so far I didn’t have any, but occasional constipation. I started taking Metamucil for constipation, and it did wonders, it kept me regular. I lessen the food I eat and walk 1-2 hours a day as exercise, and go to the gym 1-3 days a week. This med works wonders. I see a difference in my body after 4 weeks, and as soon as the first week, I had lost weight. After 4 weeks, I am down 10 lbs. I’m supposed to take my new dose of 0.5 mg, but I was not able to because of the shortage. Two more days, and it will be a week now missing my dosage. I am very scared that I might gain the weight back, so I’m very careful about how much I eat, and I still continue my walks and exercise. Wegovy, please refill our prescription."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started approx. 3/29 and will begin my third step up to 1 mg this week. I have lost 23 lbs in 8 weeks. Very happy about that. My appetite is reduced. I can sometimes skip dinner because, after a light lunch and breakfast, I am not hungry. I have experienced fatigue, nausea, and constipation. However, if I eat something like an apple with peanut butter, that helps with the constipation. So far, these side effects are not bad enough for me to discontinue. I would like to feel better, but I am hoping it will improve. Fatigue is the worst for me because I also have another autoimmune disease that causes extreme tiredness. I am taking a multivitamin and see my doctor in a week, and I will discuss negative side effects. Right now, the benefits of losing weight are worth it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Just completed my first month on Wegovy. I was on the 0.5 dose and only lost 5 pounds. Was a little disappointed that was all I lost. Today started on the 1.0 dose, hoping to lose more weight than just 5 pounds a month. Doing low carb. Feel bloated and experiencing constipation."

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I have lost 55 pounds, which is fantastic! But since being on the 2.4 mg for 3 months, it doesn’t seem to work anymore. I crave sweets constantly, something I have never done before! I have not lost any weight in the last 2 months, I actually gained back 3 pounds. Doctor went down to the 1.7 mg injection and added Metformin, which helped some with my appetite but had an increase in nausea, vomiting, acid reflux, and constipation."

I feel great, and I have had minimal side effects of constipation (fixed with Miralax and papaya) and some nausea. Can't wait to go up on my dose!"

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I wanted to lose about 45 pounds and asked my cardiologist to prescribe Wegovy because I have cardiovascular disease. I'm on a Medicare Advantage insurance, and the med was approved. I have been on it for 2.5 months and am down 25 pounds. I haven't had any noticeable side effects except insane constipation. I already had issues with that, so I take a Linzess every morning, and that does the trick. I started noticing the curbed appetite the day after my first dose. It's not as intense now, but I have zero food noise, and I just can't eat like I used to. I have had migraines for 35+ years, and I haven't had one since starting Wegovy. I don't think it's my weight loss or improved eating habits, I think it's the medication. Before I became disabled, I was a size 4 and ate very healthy, but had 12+ migraine days per month. I inject my dose in the stomach each week and have never had any reaction to the injection. Overall, I am thrilled with Wegovy so far."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Wegovy has been very beneficial for me health-wise and from a mental standpoint. Health-wise, I have seen my blood pressure go down, and I am confident the weight loss (26 lbs so far) was the reason for it being lower. I am on medication for hypertension, and at my next MD visit, we will have to discuss coming off of it or at least reducing the dosage. Another thing I have noticed is at night I’m not short of breath anymore. That’s a big one for me because I was not sleeping well at all. Now, as far as mentally, I am feeling better about myself and not wearing jackets all the time. I am also ready to take some professional pictures with my husband again. Now for the cons. Sometimes, I feel like it’s been hard on my body. Constipation has been my biggest side effect so far. I’ve tried everything to relieve it but haven’t had much success. Another con is experiencing nausea at times, especially if I eat too much. Dosage: 1.7 Duration: 5 months Wt loss: 26 lbs"

"I've been on Wegovy for 2 months or so, and Ozempic prior to that (switched when I got a dosage that Ozempic did not create, 1.7). I just began taking the Wegovy 2.4. While on the 1.7, I began having skin sensitivity, mostly on my back. It felt as though I had sunburn and clothing rubbing against me was painful. When I ended up being off of it for 2+ weeks due to unforeseen circumstances, I noticed that the skin sensitivity went away! I started back up again and 4 days later, my skin irritation/sensitivity has returned. Other side effects I've had include nausea and increased acid reflux, resulting in throwing up. Other things I'm experiencing, which may or may not have anything to do with my use of Wegovy, are depression, constipation, and swelling of the legs and feet."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started on Ozempic 12 weeks ago in Jan 2022, which is the same as Wegovy in a lower dosage. I spent 4 weeks on the 0.25 dosage, losing 2 lbs. Moved up to the 0.5 dosage for 4 weeks, losing another 2 lbs, moved up to the 1 dosage for 4 weeks, and lost an additional 3 lbs. I just took my first dose of Wegovy at the 1.7 dosage, and wow can I tell a difference. I won’t lie, I have experienced a few side effects, such as constipation, some abdominal pain, nausea, headache, and diarrhea, but all have been mostly mild and very tolerable. Nothing that can’t be helped with eating a little less. The key to managing all of it is learning how to eat properly with the right portion sizes. Only eat until you are satisfied rather than full. For me, it is well worth dealing with mild side effects in order to achieve a healthy lifestyle!"
