For Type 2 Diabetes "I have been on Ozempic for 20 weeks now, and I still experience bloating, flatulence, nausea, and fatigue. My A1C went back to normal, but I feel sick all the time. My most horrible side effect is the rotten egg smell of my burps. I am also taking Toujeo and Janumet."

For Type 2 Diabetes "After 4-6 weeks, I still suffer various levels of intensities of nausea, but short-lived diarrhea, plenty of burping, and fatigue that is often overwhelming. Some days, no problems. I manage the symptoms by enduring until they ease up, or I may choose to seek fast relief using what's available. Its benefits are now close to 'tight control' and significant weight loss (overcoming the stagnant plateau of a period of weight loss)."

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I started Ozempic in January 2022. Began with the standard .25 for 4 weeks, then .50 for an additional 4. When I injected the 1 mg, I was sick constantly. Vomiting, fatigue, and horrible heartburn. I had to stop for several weeks as I was completely worn out. I started again with the .25 and am now on the .50, but I'm noticing I am much more hungry than I was the first time around. I was wondering if any of you have injected .75 and if you found it to be helpful? I am afraid to try the 1 mg again as sick as it made me."

For Type 2 Diabetes "At eight weeks my blood sugar was in non-diabetic range. I also take metformin. Only a weight loss of 5 to 10 pounds. Doctor increased from 0.5 ml to 1 ml. Now experiencing rapid weight loss. Significant suppression of hunger. Experiencing rapid heartbeat at any activity, like walking to the kitchen, also extreme fatigue. This may be due to a preexisting condition. Will see doctor about the fatigue in 7 days. Very aware of stomach digesting food very slowly. I feel like I have a brick in my stomach, but do not find it painful, just unusual. Very acidic stomach resulting in GERD. Treated with Tums. Since increasing dosage I desire very, very little food without complaint."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I have Type 2 diabetes that I’ve kept under control by taking Metformin, Jardiance, and insulin. I saw a new endocrinologist 2 weeks ago who suggested I try Ozempic, with the hope of eliminating the insulin. She prescribed taking .25 mg initially for 4 weeks and then bumping up to .50, also reducing my insulin to 15 units and hopefully eliminating it later. She did say it could cause some stomach issues, but mainly said it could make you not want to eat much. I think in hindsight she downplayed the side effects. I took my first dose a week ago. The first 3 days were fine. The 4th day I started having foul-tasting belches and then got such severe stomach/gas cramping I almost went to the ER. I have a high pain tolerance, so for me to be in that much pain says a lot. I was able to finally get relief by drinking baking soda water, but then had extreme diarrhea, nausea, body aches, and fatigue. I missed 2 days of work. I called the doctor, and she said my symptoms were severe and to stop taking it. Horrible experience!"

For Type 2 Diabetes "I have been taking Ozempic for about 4 months now. Haven’t had really bad side effects, but sometimes I feel just exhausted and somewhat out of breath. I also have muscle aches and fatigue. Not lost a lot of weight, maybe 2 lbs. I keep hoping. Does anyone else have similar side effects? Good luck and all the best results for everyone."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I have started Ozempic 7 weeks ago and my blood glucose is much better controlled. I saw the difference after the 2nd day on my glucose level and on how I felt (less fatigue, lower appetite). I only had some mild to moderate nausea at the beginning, no other side effect. It is very easy to use, no pain at all. I am very satisfied with Ozempic, it is very effective and it helps in losing weight, which also contributes to a better glycemic level."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Major nausea ebbs and flows. Extremely bad fatigue off and on. More along the lines of exhaustion. No weight loss. I’m on a pretty high dose, 1.5, and am only about 15 lbs overweight. Diabetes type 2 most of my life, so this is a great drug. Hopefully, the next generation of these drugs will have fewer side effects for some of us. The nausea and fatigue are pretty overwhelming some days. A1c has improved, so I will stay on until something better comes along."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Was on Ozempic 1 mg for 3 months. Had no issues or side effects. Dr. switched me to Ozempic 2 mg. Took the first dose yesterday. On day 2, I have experienced nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and fatigue. Symptoms are similar to stomach flu. Hopefully, this is just acclimation to a higher dose and I will try again next week. If it happens again, I will lower the dose to 1.5 mg and then back to 1 mg if necessary."

"I have been taking Ozempic for five months, and I have lost 35 pounds. That’s the good part. I continue to have very bad fatigue, and when I upped my dose, I find myself nauseous and vomiting. I’m gonna continue taking it for a little while longer to reach my goal. So far, it has been worth it for me."

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "2-3 days per week I suffer from poor sleep and fatigue accordingly. Trying to get to sleep is bad, with body noises making it impossible. Also, constant burping with gas buildup, farting at night is awful, watery eyes. The other 4 days is fine. The days are not in a row and often vary each week. My rating of the medicine would vary on different days, bad days, bad rating."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I started out on 0.25 once a week and then 0.5 for two more weeks. I am now at 1.0. I experienced a little nausea in the beginning, but it has subsided. I find it interesting that I don't crave salty foods and actually turn them down. I am craving salads, which I find interesting. I've lost 7 pounds in 5 weeks, and now with the increase, about a pound every two days. The best part is I am on Metformin and Janumet, with a daily blood sugar averaging 340. With the addition of Ozempic, my average blood sugar has been at 122. My A1C has dropped from 11 to 9, all in a very short time. I suffered heart failure last year, and my refraction rate is now back to normal at 55 percent. I am now experiencing some fatigue, but that could just be my body adjusting to all the meds on board. I feel I now have a brighter future ahead, especially with the normal sugar level, and am planning to do a lot of outdoor activities this summer. I've also gone back to water aerobics and have my life back."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "So far, so good. Six weeks on. Constipation's been an issue. Definitely has cut my appetite down, and I lost my taste for my weekend beer and have a glass of wine or two. Everything else has been fun. Little fatigue I’ve noticed, but hopefully I continue to lose weight."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Still early, so this may change as time goes on. I am currently taking 0.5, increasing after the next dose. In the beginning, I had stomach pain and sickness, but these symptoms died down after I learned to eat more protein and not to skip meals. Another thing that bothered me at first was fatigue. I could not keep my eyes open. I slept a lot, and if I had something to do that day, it took everything in me just to make it through the day. These symptoms also subsided after I stopped skipping meals. I would be lying if I told you my choice to start taking Ozempic wasn't to help me lose weight. That was one of the major selling factors for me. Anyone who knows anything about diabetes knows you do pack on the weight, and any help shedding those unnecessary pounds is a plus. I can't say I have lost a lot of weight yet, but with what little time I have been on Ozempic, I can see a decent decrease in my weight. As for my diabetes, my A1C will tell in time."

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I used this medicine for 3 months to help me lose an excess weight of 30 lbs. I lost 10 lbs. Initially, I had a few side effects: nausea and indigestion. But by the third month, I felt really sick. I asked for blood tests because I was so exhausted. My blood tests were perfect. The indigestion and heartaches got worse. Eventually, it became unbearable. I'm burnt out, so it just made my condition worse. Zombie. For people who support it well, it's great. But if you have a digestive sensitivity, it's at your own risk. I last used the medicine 10 days ago, and I still have digestive problems and heartaches, as well as fatigue. But the fatigue was present before the use of this drug. I lost 10 pounds out of 30 pounds in a month and a half. Then I didn't lose any more, and I continue to be careful. The drug works for 7 days, so it's been 10 days. It is completely eliminated from our body after 5 weeks. It is especially the fatigue that causes me problems. But it's normal when you're still in indigestion."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Reduced blood sugar from 10 to 7.1. Killed my hunger completely, no more food cravings. Side effects became disabling, had to discontinue using. Became bloated, nausea was bad, 1st time I have vomited in 50 years, fatigue, constipation, going to the emergency room as no doctors available to help."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Ozempic for about 3 months. Started at 0.25, then went to 0.5, then went to 1.00 2 weeks ago. Had some minor side effects (a little stomach upset, fatigue) with the lower doses, but just this past week, I have started severe diarrhea. I literally can't keep anything in my system. It is working okay... I have lost almost 15 pounds, but I am going to adjust the dosage down if the diarrhea doesn't stop. I also have had a huge increase in burping, which is manageable. Overall, I have positive things to say about this medication, but I think that dosing is pretty specific to the person and should be discussed with your primary doctor if severe side effects continue."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Have been on Ozempic for about 2-3 months at 0.25. Experienced/experiencing: nausea, heartburn, fatigue, light-headedness, constipation. Nausea has calmed down but still occurs. Heartburn has developed over the last month and is definitely not subsiding. Seems I am always tired. Sometimes getting up, I become light-headed and off balance. Constipation is quite prevalent even with eating high fiber fruit and vegetables, and I am doing my best to drink plenty of water, starting with hot lemon water and honey every morning. I do not know if I would recommend this drug or not. Everyone is different. Thank you."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I’m in my second month of Ozempic. The first dose level (0.25 mg) wasn’t difficult. I felt good, with minimal nausea, mostly fatigued and gassy. Moved up to 0.5 mg 3 days ago, and oh boy, nausea ++ heartburn ++ have vomited twice. Holding out because I had been running with very high blood sugars due to poor diet and med compliance, peeing every 2 seconds, and drinking the well dry, but now I sleep all night, have to remind myself to drink, so those are the symptoms I prefer. I feel lighter and my clothes feel looser, haven’t weighed myself yet."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I started Ozempic in January 2022. First week, I had extreme diarrhea with blood and mucus (always constipated before this). Endocrinologist told me he didn’t think it was Ozempic, but I went off it. Diarrhea, etc., continued. Ended up having to get a colonoscopy and was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. Endocrinologist wanted to put me back on Ozempic. We figured the diarrhea, etc., was just the colitis. Started it back up five weeks ago. No diarrhea, back to constipation, nauseous every day, extreme fatigue. Also now diagnosed with Retinal Vasculitis. But my inflammatory markers are high. Not sure if this all started because of Ozempic. Just increased to 0.5 mg today, so we will see. It just seems like an odd coincidence. No appetite, but no weight loss either. Hair loss, but could be from colitis."
