"I have been taking Ozempic since July of 2024 to treat my obesity. I am currently taking a 0.5 ml injection, and the side effects for me were minimal. I had some stomach cramping and surprise bouts of diarrhea for the first 3 months after the day of injection, but I continue at the same dosage, and so far, there have been no further side effects. In total, I have lost 94.6 lbs so far using Ozempic, and I feel so much better about myself and my appearance. The cravings for sweet snacks and the urge to overeat or comfort eat have gone away almost completely. I wasn't sure about the self-injection at first, but it is so easy to do and convenient that I can dose myself at home."

For Type 2 Diabetes "After reading the reviews, a lot of my problems using Ozempic have been answered. I was wondering why I had the side effects that I did, such as vomiting, diarrhea, bloating, stomach gurgling, and belching or egg taste, etc., but a lot has been answered here. My only comment about this is that I am to use .50 every week, and my pen only holds 3 weeks' worth. I have called 2X after I mentioned it to my nurse practitioner, and the only thing I get is offered a voucher for a free pen. My question is, am I the only one that doesn't get the full 4 weeks' worth of the pen if using .50? I tried to ask that to customer service this morning, and she could not answer my question but only offer yet another voucher. Please tell me if I am the only one that this happens to or not. Overall, I am extremely happy with the product."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I was prescribed Ozempic for Type 2 diabetes to help lower my blood sugar and to help with weight loss. The first week wasn't so bad, just a little fatigued and some upset stomach problems. The second week it kicked in overtime and hit me like a brick wall. I had no energy at all. Stayed in bed because it's all I could do. My stomach was so upset and nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea were so bad, it ran like water. I became more dehydrated with less energy. I have 4 autoimmune diseases and this was the sickest I have ever felt in my life. I almost went to the ER and if not for Covid, I would have. It felt like someone had been feeding me rat poison. It's the worst feeling ever. I truly don't know how this drug was approved by the FDA. I plan to take myself off it. Weight loss and blood sugar need to be done in a healthier manner. Lose weight fast and easy has consequences."

For Type 2 Diabetes "My first week, I felt tired and had no energy. Mild, intermittent nausea. Guess that's the appetite suppressant part. After the first 3 days, I started getting quite a bit of stomach discomfort and diarrhea. Anything I ate or drank went right through me, as well as gas. Also, an unusual amount of belching. Hope this goes away soon and does not happen after every dose. I teach 4-year-olds, and it greatly affected my ability to do my job. My BS numbers are not much different."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I unfortunately had a very severe reaction to Ozempic. I usually do suffer side effects from most medications, but thought I would give it a try. The first two weeks were headache, general stomach ache, and constipation lasting 2 days after each injection. Weeks 3 and 4 got worse. Stronger reactions, lasting longer. Week 5, I started the double dose, and I was pretty ill for 2 days. Week 6 and 7 was rough, but I thought I could ride it out. Week 8 had me in emergency twice for diarrhea, vomiting, headache, and major dehydration. I was unable to eat or drink anything. I had to get rehydrated and be given anti-nausea meds on both occasions. I guess my body slowed the release of food so much I had a massive buildup to the point even a sip of water made me extremely nauseous. Ozempic is not for me."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I'm on my 4th week, and so far, the only thing I've experienced is stomach discomfort and diarrhea. My stomach usually turns the day of and after the injection, and I have a few days of diarrhea. I must admit that spicy food may have contributed to it a few times. My appetite is light, and my 5th dose will be an increase in milligrams. So, I don't know if the higher dose will come with more side effects. I inject myself in my upper arm because I have less fat there, and I want to get the full effects of the medication."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Caused some G.I. issues (diarrhea, upset stomach), but after a few doses (0.5 mg) things improved. Still have bouts occasionally, but the reward (lower blood sugars and A1C) outweighs the negative. Seldom have a problem with the injection, but on occasion get a mild burning sensation, very mild."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I was put on Ozempic for type 2 diabetes. The first week, I suffered bloating, sour stomach, and diarrhea. I was told it was temporary and it would get better. The next week, everything was worse and projectile vomiting was added. I took the third dose and nothing was better. I told the nurse about my experience and was told to stop the medication. I just don't know how long it will be before all the residual will get out of my body. I know this med works great for a lot of people, but not for me."

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I started Ozempic because my weight has kept going up over the years. I’ve blamed it on menopause, getting older, and just having a borderline high blood sugar level and hypothyroidism. Had friends who were on Ozempic with great success, so I thought I’d give it a try. For me as well, it has been a game changer. I’ve lost 20 pounds, I look like myself before I married 30 years ago. I’ve had a few symptoms such as stomach cramping, some diarrhea on occasion, and I do have to cut my food intake almost in half. I don’t have sugar cravings at all anymore, which is a wonderful thing in itself. Overall, I have been very happy with it. I plan to reach my goal weight and cut back on my dosage to the minimum to maintain my new weight. This past weekend, I had to have an emergency appendectomy. I’m not sure if it’s related at all to the Ozempic, but thought I would report it here in case others have had a similar response. I definitely would be interested in knowing that."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I am a 54-year-old overweight male who started taking Ozempic 3 months ago to help control my type 2 diabetes and to lower my A1C. For the first 3 weeks, I took a 0.25 dose weekly and felt okay. Some occasional stomach cramps and nausea. For the past 2 months, I have been taking a 0.50 dose, and side effects have gotten worse. Loss of appetite, stomach pains, feeling nauseous, and uncontrollable diarrhea while sleeping. Yes, that's right... I have been pooping the bed. On the plus side, I have lost over 20 lbs, but at quite a disgusting price to pay. Time to either quit taking this or try something else. I now understand the commercials where the people say 'O.' It's because 'O, I pooped my pants again.'"

For Type 2 Diabetes "Ozempic has helped me, so I do not have to take insulin. When I first started it, I had tummy aches, but now that I have been on it for the past three months, no problems with that. You do have to be careful about how much you eat, Ozempic has helped me regulate how I eat and what I eat. If you overeat, you may end up with a bad case of diarrhea, but that doesn't happen very often anymore. One more thing, if you come off the Ozempic, you may see a spike in your blood sugar. Overall, I really don't have a problem with taking Ozempic."

For Type 2 Diabetes "This is week 1, and I’m already feeling the side effects: headaches, diarrhea, stomach ache, burping frequently that smells like rotten eggs. I get nauseous and gassy. I don’t have an appetite for food. I just started this medication, but I like its cleaning out my digestive system. I am reaching out to my healthcare provider to see what I can take to help eliminate the burping."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Been on Ozempic for 2 years. Now I experience stomach problems and gastro problems. Stomach pain, nausea, acid and bile issues. Diarrhea, gas, burping all the time. I think it's taking a toll on my body. It sucks. There are times I can't even function. I'm lost now. Sick of being sick."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I am not sure if it has been very much help, as my sugar levels have been running high and would need to have my A1C checked to see if it has lowered from my last visit. Have not experienced side effects like others: headache, stomach cramps, vomiting, or excessive diarrhea. Only experienced slight stomach cramps and diarrhea when I consumed greasy foods."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Ozempic for about 3 months. Started at 0.25, then went to 0.5, then went to 1.00 2 weeks ago. Had some minor side effects (a little stomach upset, fatigue) with the lower doses, but just this past week, I have started severe diarrhea. I literally can't keep anything in my system. It is working okay... I have lost almost 15 pounds, but I am going to adjust the dosage down if the diarrhea doesn't stop. I also have had a huge increase in burping, which is manageable. Overall, I have positive things to say about this medication, but I think that dosing is pretty specific to the person and should be discussed with your primary doctor if severe side effects continue."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I had my first 0.25 injection on Monday morning. I have had nausea from about 2 hours after injection, then the severe stomach cramps started, followed by vomiting. I have not eaten a meal since Sunday evening. Today, the cramps have been the worst, and now the diarrhea has started. I work full time, and this is the worst drug ever. Anyone know how long it takes to leave your system?"
