For Type 2 Diabetes "Been on Ozempic over 3 months. I had gas that stunk so bad it was like I was dying from the inside out. Had constipation, then diarrhea, then it went into severe back and leg pain. Leg cramps from dehydration. I think it has a reaction with metformin. Eyes got blurry. And I wanted to sleep a lot. I feel like it is so bad for my body. I stopped, now I have to feel like this for 5 weeks till it goes away."

For Type 2 Diabetes "This is week 1, and I’m already feeling the side effects: headaches, diarrhea, stomach ache, burping frequently that smells like rotten eggs. I get nauseous and gassy. I don’t have an appetite for food. I just started this medication, but I like its cleaning out my digestive system. I am reaching out to my healthcare provider to see what I can take to help eliminate the burping."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Been on Ozempic for 2 years. Now I experience stomach problems and gastro problems. Stomach pain, nausea, acid and bile issues. Diarrhea, gas, burping all the time. I think it's taking a toll on my body. It sucks. There are times I can't even function. I'm lost now. Sick of being sick."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Coupled with continuous glucose meter, improved A1c down to 5.8 and lost some weight. Have experienced some apparently common moderate side effects including intermittent nausea, bloating, gas, heartburn, constipation/diarrhea, dizziness. So far, benefits outweigh bothersome discomfort. Easy to use weekly."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I have only been using Ozempic for a few months now. Just recently I am experiencing bloating, moderate pain in my lower belly, gas, and some diarrhea. I am hoping that this will subside as time goes by. I will be getting a blood test next month and I will see what my numbers are then. At that point, I will decide whether it is worthwhile to continue on this path. Fingers crossed!"

For Type 2 Diabetes "After not being able to take Rybelsus due to the side effects, my doctor switched me to this. Started with 0.25. Did fine for 2 injections, so was bumped up to 0.50. Have had 2 injections and have been violently ill for 5 days both times. Diarrhea. Vomiting. Gas. Sulfur burps. I am lucky if I can keep water down. This is miserable. Doctor says it will stop, though it could take 3 months. Not sure it is worth it."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I have type 2 diabetes and heart issues also. So my Dr. prescribed Ozempic. I've been on it for 4 months now, and my A1C is at 5.2. Which would be great except that I'm having severe side effects. I have severe diarrhea, stomach pain, and terrible gas, and burping. I don't know if I can stay on this much longer. My Dr. thinks it will pass in a few more weeks, but I'm not sure. I have read that my side effects are not typical, but they are probably going to be too much for me to handle."

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "Was on .25 for 4 weeks now, as I have prediabetes, and I cannot tolerate it. The sulfur burping, the awful gas pains, vomiting, diarrhea. I cannot stand the sight of food. Not worth it!"

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I have been taking Ozempic for 6 weeks. 4 weeks on .25 mg and 2 on .5 mg. It has been great at curbing my appetite and sugar cravings, and I have lost 5 kg. However, the diarrhea, vomiting, bloating, gas, and almost volcanic foul-smelling burping have made me decide not to continue. Being awake half the night with a gurgling stomach and having to sit up to burp and release the gas is not good for anyone. Back to my own devices from now on."
