For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was prescribed Ozempic for weight loss in Nov 2022. I started on 0.25 mg for one month. I found it slightly suppressed my appetite, and the side effects I had were awful heartburn, constipation, and sulfur burps. Sometimes I felt nauseous. I decided to stick with it anyway and increased to 0.5 mg after one month. The symptoms were the same but added in fatigue. A month later, I bumped up to 0.75, and the burps, fatigue, and heartburn subsided. I went to 1 mg two months later, and all symptoms disappeared. I started at 192 lbs on Nov 15th, and as of May 1st, I weigh 152 lbs. I found my sugar cravings disappeared once I started taking 1 mg. Up until then, I still craved sugary foods. I lost all interest in greasy food (fries, anything deep-fried, etc.) from 0.5 mg and up. I personally love Ozempic. The side effects at the beginning were worth it for me, but from the sounds of it, mine weren’t that bad. I have never once thrown up."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I have taken 7 doses of Ozempic. The first week wasn't too bad. A little nausea and fatigue. I did feel like my food stuck in my throat, and every time I burped, there it was. As I continued to take it each week, the side effects got worse. I was just diagnosed with diabetes in May, and since then, I've been able to come off of my insulin on my own, before Ozempic. I still take Metformin twice a day. This past week, the seventh dose made me so sick! If I wasn't nauseous every day, I was running to the bathroom at all hours of the day and night. I had horrible heartburn, gas, burping, jitters, and dizziness the whole time and thought I could continue, but after this past week, my doctor said to come off of it. It will take a while to get out of my system, I know, but I hope it does so quickly. I need my life back!!"

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I started Ozempic in January 2022. Began with the standard .25 for 4 weeks, then .50 for an additional 4. When I injected the 1 mg, I was sick constantly. Vomiting, fatigue, and horrible heartburn. I had to stop for several weeks as I was completely worn out. I started again with the .25 and am now on the .50, but I'm noticing I am much more hungry than I was the first time around. I was wondering if any of you have injected .75 and if you found it to be helpful? I am afraid to try the 1 mg again as sick as it made me."

For Type 2 Diabetes "My doctor switched my medication from automatic insulin to Ozempic, taken once a week, along with daily long-acting insulin injections. I lost my appetite, my mouth feels tasteless, and no food appeals to me, so I have to force myself to eat. My blood sugar levels have been unpredictable, fluctuating between highs of 250 and lows of 60. One minute it’s very low, and after eating, it shoots up, then drops again. I decided to stop the long-acting insulin last Sunday, at the start of the fourth week when my Ozempic dosage was increased from 0.25 to 0.5. Since then, things have slightly improved—my blood sugar isn’t running too low anymore, but it is still high. During this time, I’ve also developed severe heartburn, sleeplessness (only a few hours of sleep at night), and sluggishness, among other symptoms. I contacted my doctor yesterday."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Have been on Ozempic for about 2-3 months at 0.25. Experienced/experiencing: nausea, heartburn, fatigue, light-headedness, constipation. Nausea has calmed down but still occurs. Heartburn has developed over the last month and is definitely not subsiding. Seems I am always tired. Sometimes getting up, I become light-headed and off balance. Constipation is quite prevalent even with eating high fiber fruit and vegetables, and I am doing my best to drink plenty of water, starting with hot lemon water and honey every morning. I do not know if I would recommend this drug or not. Everyone is different. Thank you."
