"I had been on a Keto diet for 10 weeks with very little weight loss and then added 16:8 intermittent fasting for another 4 and only lost about 5 lbs in that time..14 weeks! I had lost 50 lbs in about 8 months a few short years ago and kept it off, thank goodness, doing just a keto diet, no fasting. It was truly confounding why the weight wasn’t budging this time. I went to my doctor because I believe there is a biological reason I wasn’t losing weight and she referred me to and Endocrinologist. BTW, my blood sugar is normal. She asked if I wanted to try Ozempic as one of the “side effects” was weight loss. I was sceptical but I at my wits end with the poor weight loss results. Decided to try it, injected myself a mere 2 days ago and I’m down 2 lbs! Only side effects so far are mild and transient dizziness and nausea and this pressure/heavy feeling after eating even a small meal. I didn’t eat big meals anyway. So far, I’m impressed."

"I’ve been taking Ozempic since January 2022 for weight loss. I started out with a 0.25 mg weekly injection, which was increased to a 0.5 mg weekly injection after the first pen. To date, four months later, I’ve lost 33 pounds, down to 265 pounds from 298 pounds. My appetite is significantly reduced and I’ve implemented healthy diet changes with the help of the weight loss clinic where I’m a patient. Recently I began experiencing constipation, which is a known side effect. My physician recommended Miralax to combat the constipation."

"Started on .25 and now onto .5 for the next 4 weeks. My side effects have been mild nausea, a lot of constipation, slight anxiety, Mild diarrhoea, mild tummy ache, intermediate tiredness and feeling somewhat under the weather. There is no pattern, it’s random, I do think it’s the medication as prior to this I had none of these symptoms. It is not great, but tolerable. I think the meds are really kicking in now. If I have a small snack the nausea subsides. I have little to no appetite, prob consume 1000 calories a day. And my mind is not consumed with food, and before I had an obsession with food. For me, it’s been life changing. I put on 15kg during Covid lockdown. Was 85kg now 81kg"

"I've been on Ozempic for 4 months. My doctor tiered the dosage from .25 mg for 4 weeks, then .50 mg for 4 weeks, then increased to 1 MG for the remaining time. I've just gone in for a check up, and increased to the 2 mg dose beginning this week. Each dose I experienced some stomach knots, but they resolved after the first day of the adjustment. I did initially have some very mild nauseum but all I needed to do, was take a sip of cold water to take care of it. I stress, the nauseum was very very mild. I do have a bit of constipation, but I balance with stool softeners and strict keto (high fat). I've lost 21 pounds to this point and this medication is the first thing that's controlled my appetite. I used to feel hungry all the time but now I don't feel like I need to eat all the time. I don't snack all the time like I used to. I was doing everything I was supposed to, I was working out and strict keto. But, I was stuck and couldn't lose any more weight. I've gone from 203 to 181."

"I am a 66-year-old obese female with cardiovascular disease. In August 2023, my doctor prescribed Ozempic and I'm currently on 2mg once weekly. I've found this medication to be very effective, easy to inject, have experienced no side effects, and as a bonus, went from 315 to 284 pounds."

"I have been taking Ozempic strictly for weightloss for 11 weeks. During this time I have lost 21 pounds, going from 247 two 226 (5'5" height). I've had a fantastic decrease in appetite; I can only eat about half of what I used to. My cravings for sweets are also nearly gone. I have been aiming for a maximum of 1500cal per day, but sometimes I'd slip up and go to about 2000cal (never above 2000cal). And I'll be honest, these results are with NO change in exercise. I have a moderately active job, but besides that, no significant physical activity. I really need to start exercising regularly, but for such mild changes in my lifestyle I'm impressed with how this medication is working. I'm currently at 1.0mg and will be going up to 1.7mg in about 2 weeks. I'm waiting for Wegovy to be in stock so I can shift to that one instead. My goal is 150lbs and so far I'm optimistic about that. Besides occasional mild nausea, I've had no other side effects. Highly recommend!"

"I’ve been on ozempic for 5 weeks now I know early stages, I take it for weight loss as I have polycystic ovarian syndrome and have struggled to loose weight. My doctor recommended it as it may help in weight loss. So far I started on 0.25mg for 4 weeks and just moved up to 0.5mg on my 5th week I have not noticed any weight changed yet as it is early stages but have suffered from some nausea and constipation. In the 5 weeks I have been using it I have noticed my spirits changed I am eating less mainly cut out binge eating junk food snacks and portions for meals are smaller despite how expensive the price is I pay in Australia ($132) monthly I do have high hopes that it will work I’m currently 125kg (275 pounds) and hope to loose weight"

"4 days after taking 0.25 dose became extremely ill, so weak and tired could not stand long enough to brush my teeth, constipation, off taste in mouth, heart palpation and now my vision is blurry. I ruled out other possibilities took blood work, heart xray, lung cat scan, saw heart doctor no body could find any issues. I have been off for 3 weeks and just starting to feel better"

"I gained 50 pounds in 6 month and have tried everything to get it to come off. My Dr said she had great results with Ozempic and although giving myself an injection kinda wigged me out, I was desperate so I agreed to try it. After my first week I lost 3.5 pounds and did nothing different then following a low carb diet and working out 3X a week for 30 minutes. Praying my weight loss continues."

"Been talking it for 4 dose's. First dose was in my arm. Felt horrible, violent vomiting for 45 minutes. The first week was bad but not unmanageable. I stayed away from certain foods and that helped. The next week moved injection location to leg, no problem since. Moral of the story, pick your shot location and eat right."

"Ozempic has done nothing to help me with Type 2 diabetes nor weight loss. I have some stomach discomfort and some loss of appetite? My blood sugar levels are just as high with Ozempic and before taking Ozempic."

"I did not like the side effects that I experienced while taking Ozempic. The first day I was on Ozempic I had severe vomiting. Although, I did not continue to vomit, I did feel nauseated and not well the 4 months while on Ozempic. I also started experiencing severe headaches and my sinuses became very dry and hurt. I then lost my sense of taste and smell. I stopped talking it right away. It has been more than two years since I last took Ozempic and still can not taste or smell. I would not recommend this drug to anyone."

"I saw a private doctor and was prescribed Ozempic for weight loss. I started on low dose and only gone up to 1mg. I have lost with its help 40lbs. I am using same diet and exercise I was in previously but it has been a game changer for me. I did feel sick in the beginning but used my weekly injection at bed time to help this. I have found this to be the best thing I have ever used for weight loss and I am close to my target weight."

"I started Ozempic last Wednesday. Nausea, upset stomach and profuse vomiting. I’ve already went to the ER for fluids last Thursday and now back today for more fluids. I know it’s going to improve my A1C, weight and BP but I’m not sure if I can go on this sick. I go back for my 1 week tomorrow."

"The worst side effects. I had one dose only (injected into belly). 90 mins later began a living nightmare of uncontrollable vomiting and diarrhea for 30 hours. Taking regular suppositories now to control vomiting. Even the smell of food makes me vomit. I have not been able to get out of bed. Dosage is level 3 out of five. Spoke before starting the drug and they didn’t explain the side effects could be this bad. I lost 7.5 lbs in 30 hours of non stop vomiting. Not worth it."

"Awful. Just awful. I was fine the first two days after my first injection. Then woke up in middle of night with severe nausea and dizziness. I took zofran which helped. I could not eat or move all the next day. 36 hours later I am recovering. I feel like I had the worst stomach flu ever. I will lose weight the old fashioned way. This is not worth it. I need my life back."

"Started 2 months ago on .25mg x1mth and then .5mg x1mth and now on 1mg x1week. Awful diarrhea for this entire period along with sulphur burps and nauseated stomach. I am 9 weeks into this course of treatment and have not experienced any relief from gut upset. I am abandoning drug this for weight loss purposes having only lost 5lbs during this time. I had been on a keto diet prior and had lost 8 lbs over 3 weeks. I intend to return to the Keto diet once my gut returns to normal. I feel exhausted, unwell and very disappointed with this drug."

"Day 2, no side effects except I'm just not hungry. A small serving of anything feels like an insurmountable feat, and I'm just not interested in food. I would compare it to the feeling you get after overeating and you don't want to look at, smell, hear about what you just ate for the rest of your life. After the injection, which I opted to put in my thigh for hopes of fewer side effects, I did feel queasy, did have a headache and some visual ghosting, but that disappeared within a few hours and now I'm just not hungry. It also stopped my gerd. However, food is a large portion of your fluid intake and if you don't drink throughout the day, you're going to have a very bad time"

"3 weeks in... Initially prescribed for weight management. While my appetite's drastically reduced, I've experienced headaches, some brain fog, and felt a little under the weather. Nausea slightly though it reduced day by day. Fatigue's unbearable. I typically have an upbeat positive attitude and noticed a not so good version of myself just recently. Contemplating on discontinuing treatment as excited I am for the weight loss aspect of it:("

"I was prescribed Ozempic to help with weight loss I am pre diabetic and failed Gastric Sleeve surgery. Started at 240 pounds and after the 3rd injection of 1mg am now 228lbs. I was concerned that I was started right off the bat with 1mg. My only side effect is constipation. I took the advice of the people on this blog and injected it in my thigh. I heard it minimizes the side effects. I have lost more weight with this medication than I lost with my Gastric Sleeve. I lost nothing with the sleeve and I still felt hungry. With Ozempic there is full control of my appetite and lost all taste for sugar."

"Dr. put me on this medication for weight loss, I’m not diabetic. 4 weeks on .25 everything was a breeze, didn’t feel any side effects. Went up to .50 after a month and it’s been horrible ever since (had it Thursday, and it is 4 days since my injection; it is now Monday). It started with severe vertigo that laid me out for a whole day and a half. Saturday felt a bit better but still not right. Sunday felt dizzy spells still coming and going and acid reflux with constant burping, just off and not myself. Today, Monday I’ve had diarrhea, no desire to eat and I’ve been completely exhausted and still nauseous and dizzy. I actually couldn’t take the nausea anymore so I finally threw up and I could actually taste medicine coming up. Now, here I am in bed once again waiting to see what’s next for me."
