For Nausea/Vomiting, Postoperative "I had a gastric plication done (like gastric bypass) and woke up after surgery profusely throwing up to the point they had to sedate me again to put the anti-nausea stickers behind my ears to keep me from vomiting as soon as I woke up again. Well, they gave me the Zofran to take at home, so I would take them every 4 hours before the last dose ran out and didn't feel nauseous ever again. Really great stuff."

For Nausea/Vomiting "I am a type 1 diabetic and have been having symptoms of gastroparesis. Zofran, coupled with erythromycin, has been the only thing to give me relief. After being sick and vomiting for the past 5 weeks on and off, it is nice to be back to some sort of normality."

For Nausea/Vomiting "Currently popular in ERs, it has had no effect. Once they have given the maximum number of dosages and I am still actively vomiting. Finally, I get old-fashioned Phenergan, and then things turn around."

For Nausea/Vomiting "I received Zofran for severe nausea for 3 days. It did not work! I was vomiting within 30 min. of each injection. This is supposed to be the wonderful new drug that works for everybody. So I got severely dehydrated. It doesn't work for everybody."

For Gastroenteritis "I get attacks that start with coughing, that leads to dry heaving and stomach cramps. Always lasts 24 hours (almost to the minute). I have taken Zofran and morphine injection for symptoms. Helps some, but not total relief. Wish I had the relief you all get."

"My birth defect had shut down my bladder to the extent of not being able to urinate. Long story short, I had an infection so bad my bladder was 3x the normal size. So, seeing how I couldn't go, my body decided that it would send everything back out the way it came. If my wife didn't make me go to the hospital, my bladder would have exploded, they gave me a shot of this medication, and it stopped the vomiting in minutes. Well, I am better and have a prescription for this, and I have to self-cath because of the damage to my bladder. If I can't go backwards in time, I would have listened to my wife instead of being a procrastinator."

For Nausea/Vomiting "I received this medicine with Stadol for a migraine. Within 20 min, I vomited. I hadn't vomited with the migraine, just had nausea. I got out of bed once after a few hours and threw up again, then again after trying only water. So... this didn't work at all for me, but I'd never had either of the two drugs before."

For Nausea/Vomiting "I have been using Zofran as needed every 8 hours for nausea/vomiting, and I get a lot of dry heaves on really bad days. This medicine does make you dizzy and lightheaded, but I would say it helps a little bit. But there have been times where it does not stop vomiting. It also doesn’t address the root cause of nausea and is not meant to be used for a long period of time. I would recommend trying it if you need to get nausea and vomiting under control. They use Zofran in the ER to treat nausea/vomiting."

For Nausea/Vomiting "Was given this drug while pregnant for morning sickness. Didn't help at all, gave me a headache and actually made me throw up a few times. My son was also born with a genetic mutation - Epidermal Nevus syndrome, which I'm sure is from the Zofran as it is not approved for use during pregnancy. If I could go back in time, I would NOT have used this during pregnancy. I was also given this drug several times for gastroenteritis with the same result - headache and increased vomiting. Did not work for me."

For Nausea/Vomiting "I was warned of the possibility of severe vomiting/diarrhea due to chemotherapy for treatment of Glioblastoma. I have 10 days left on treatment, and so far, no side effects at all!"

For Nausea/Vomiting "I have suffered with migraines for years; with them comes nausea and vomiting. I have just started taking Zofran twice. Thank goodness it has helped. I was tired of suppositories."
