Norethindrone for Birth Control "Before this, I tried one mini pill and had mood swings/breakouts. Then tried the combined pill (Lucette) and gained weight rapidly- even went up a cup size in a week. As a result, I felt depressed because of my weight gain. I then tried the IUD, intercourse felt like being stabbed internally, and I had bleeding every day for four months with flesh clots. Although my GP claimed this wasn't because of the IUD, they eventually removed it due to an ovarian cyst. Within days, all side effects stopped, but my GP put me on Cerelle, which made me have insane mood swings and depression. This is the first pill with no side effects other than light breakthrough bleeding every few months."

Norethindrone for Birth Control "My doctor prescribed Micronor because I experienced depression and migraines with other pills. So far, so good - the first two months were totally fine, I didn't notice any changes to anything. This month I have had a little breast tenderness, but not significantly, and a couple of days of light breakthrough bleeding. I have regular unprotected sex and, so far, no babies... I'm happy with this drug and plan to keep using it until I want a baby."

Norethindrone for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have been on this pill only 24 days, so I am going to give it a chance, but... I am going through perimenopause, so I take the pill for better control of my period. Not for BC, as I am infertile. After 20 days on the pill, I started my period. The first day was minor spotting, it has now been 4 full days of heavy bright red bleeding, with constant clots. Clots when I pee, clots when I wipe, clots on my pads, clots on my tampons. Some are small, like pea size, and some are huge, like quarter size. I am extremely tired, I have no energy, and fear I am becoming anemic. My doc wants me to do a full 3 to 6 month trial with it because it does take time to get the full effect."

Norethindrone for Birth Control "So far, so good. I've been taking this pill for almost 2 months (I know it's kind of a short time to claim results), but it's been treating me well. I made sure I put an alarm on my phone to ensure that I take it on time every day. So far, I have experienced headaches from time to time. About two times, I took the pill about 2 hrs late and had light bleeding from then up until a week, which is a pain. I know more time will tell for real results, but I just wanted to give a review of beginning side effects for me."

Norethindrone "This pill had changed my life! After suffering for nearly three years with unbelievable childbirth-level pain with each cycle and taking a ridiculous amount of Advil each month, I decided to try this pill. The first month had some unpredictable light bleeding, and I would have a light headache each evening (not too bad at all). After that, the headaches went away, and when I get my period, it's very, very light with very, very mild cramping, and sometimes I don't get a period at all. For me, this is a major life change. No more crazy pain, no more destroying my body with pain meds. I've been on it for over 4 months now. I take this pill in the evening at EXACTLY the same time. I can't tell you how happy I am to have found it. I no longer spend hours online trying to find something that will help with my adeno and endo pain. I hope it works for you too!"

Norethindrone for Birth Control "I wish I could put a zero for the rating. Been on this horrible pill for 2 months, and the bleeding is completely random. I went from having a 4-day period to 10, just to stop bleeding for 2 days to start right back up. I am taking myself off of this pill. Horrible, and wish I had never taken it."

Norethindrone for Birth Control "I'll preface that I know every woman is different, but I LOVE Camila birth control pill. This is the first birth control I have tried, and I do not plan on switching to anything different anytime soon. I have been on Camila for about a year and 3 months now (I'm currently 20), and the only side effects I have experienced were a slight libido change when I first went on it the first week. I'm currently on my 3rd period cycle (I had a period in April, June, and now October), which does not bother me too much since my gynecologist said irregular bleeding is common on 'minipills.' I also cannot take anything with estrogen because I get migraines with aura, so I was happy to find a pill that seems to work for me and help with my migraines! Just take into account the time sensitivity of minipills and how important the timing of taking the pill is, as this could lead to pregnancy, as I've seen in other comments. If you are thinking of going on Camila, I definitely recommend it since the side effects are very minimal and it gets its job done! (:"

Norethindrone for Endometriosis "I am halfway through my 3rd pack, and I refuse to take this again. I was taking it for hemorrhagic ovarian cysts. Not only is it causing me to have severe mood swings, crying fits, and severe depression, I'm now also bleeding for 2 weeks. This medication was supposed to help with my hemorrhagic ovarian cysts and avoid hysterectomy, but I'm constantly on the ledge of committing myself to the hospital. The only thing this medication is great for is causing severe depression, excessive bleeding, and making me feel like I'm pregnant, hormonal, and crying over every little thing anyone says or does. This hasn't fixed any problems other than make me want to give up on life. I did not utilize this for birth control. I can no longer take estrogen birth control because I had blood clots. This created WAY more problems. I'd rather just have surgery to remove the problems than to take this pill that makes you feel this bad."

Norethindrone for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Started May 8, and two weeks later had a full-blown period with bad cramping, lots of blood clots, and heavy bleeding. Prior to taking this medicine, I had extremely light spotting once every 4 to 6 weeks. According to the FDA, I should not have been taking this since I was postmenopausal."

Norethindrone for Birth Control "Don't let reviews scare you, everyone's body will react differently to different types of BC. That's why there are so many types. I have been using Micronor for 7 years. The first few months, I had the regular side effects your body has when adjusting to the hormone changes (cramps, bleeding, bloating, tender breasts, etc.). After 3-6 months, my body was mostly back to normal. You need to take the pill at the same time every day. If you don't take your pill on time, breakthrough bleeding could happen. This pill is not for you if you cannot keep a consistent schedule when it comes to taking your BC. Irregular bleeding and inconsistent periods will most likely happen. Personally, it made my periods better since my cramps before would cause me extreme agony. Coming down to sex, I have used condoms, pull out, or full unprotected sex and no pregnancy. The pill is 91% effective, not 100%, so don't be upset if you get pregnant. Having sex always opens the chance of pregnancy."

Norethindrone for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have just finished my 2nd pack. Starting 3rd tomorrow. I am bleeding every other week. I started taking it to regulate my periods. It has made it worse. I am constantly bleeding, either spotting or full-blown. My breasts have gotten bigger. My mood swings are off the wall. I do not know if I can make it through this 3rd month all the way. I am tired of having to buy 2 packs of pads."

For Birth Control "I've been on the 'mini pill' for a few years now. I'm close to 35, and I smoke, so my gyno doesn't want me on the combination pill. I have had zero bad effects from this pill. I'm a sexually active female and have never had any problems with pregnancy while on this pill. Here's the KEY, ladies - let me put it in caps so everyone can follow along - YOU HAVE TO TAKE THIS PILL AT THE SAME TIME EVERY SINGLE DAY. If you don't, you will get the breakthrough bleeding that can happen to some girls who just pop it whenever they remember - and possibly get pregnant since you're not keeping the needed level of hormones in your body to prevent pregnancy. This pill is safe, and it's effective in preventing pregnancy, providing you take it daily at the same time."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "This medication has been a lifesaver for me. I have abnormal bleeding, and I hemorrhage up to 3 weeks a month. I recently hemorrhaged for 2 months straight, and my blood count went so low I needed a blood transfusion. I started taking norethindrone 5 mg a day. It took about 5 days to stop my bleeding, but I have not bled since. It's been about 2 months, and I am just starting to feel better and get my energy back from all the blood loss. I would much rather take this every day than have a hysterectomy."

Norethindrone for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "My doctor randomly switched me to this birth control. I've been on it for almost three months. I've been heavily bleeding every two weeks, now, I'm bleeding every other week. I'm done, I told my doctor I can't anymore."

Norethindrone for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have taken the pill for 26 days. The 27th, I have decided to stop! I have been bleeding heavily for 26 continuous days, plus cramping, headaches, absolute lack of libido, bigger sore breasts, need to sleep 5 extra hours per day (naps all the time), extreme sadness, vaginal dryness despite the bleeding, heavy legs, general growing fatigue, and incapacity to function normally! I switched to another pill (Lolo from Actavis), and so far, so good. I am thankful for the reviews here because I did not feel alone or getting crazy with such painful side effects. The extreme sadness was really odd. Lolo is not a mini-pill, but it has a low amount of estrogen. I am hopeful. I could not move with Micronor despite being very active normally."

Norethindrone for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Started 3 nights ago to help with heavy periods. This pill has made me have very heavy clotting, cramping, and bleeding through heavy pads every 1 - 1 1/2 hours at night. Went out to lunch yesterday, and within 1 hour, had soaked a heavy pad and blood down my leg. I’ve only been on this 3 nights, and usually by now my period would be almost over. I really don’t think I should continue, I do not need this for birth control, trying to help with heavy periods, and this is the worst I’ve had in years. I’ve taken more Advil in the last 3 days than in the last 6 months due to heavy cramping. I think I’m stopping this today!!!"

Norethindrone for Birth Control "I am 21 years old, and my son is now five months old. I started taking Jolivette at the beginning of February. I have experienced abnormal, heavy bleeding that seems like it never ends, feels like I've bled more than I haven't bled. The bleeding will stop for two to three days, then return and last for about two weeks. I have also been feeling more angry and stressed than ever since I started taking this birth control. I am switching to a different birth control as soon as possible because Jolivette is making life miserable, and the way I am running through boxes of tampons and pads is ridiculous and draining the wallet."

Norethindrone for Birth Control "I was on this pill for three days. I started taking it 4 weeks postpartum as directed by my doctor due to breastfeeding. Experienced horrible stomach aches, similar to food poisoning. I started bleeding very heavily and had severe cramping. I became very moody and experienced stomach bloating and gas. I am 24 hours free of this pill and feel 100 times better."

Norethindrone for Birth Control "The first 3 months I had a period every 14 days. They lasted about 5 days, slightly heavier bleeding than normal for me. Then, after the 3rd month, my periods went back to their normal 28-day off, 6-day periods. I'm breastfeeding my 7-month-old, so this is a great option. No weight gain, no mood swings, no soreness or anything negative."

Norethindrone for Birth Control "I started not to leave a review, but then I thought to myself this may help someone. As for me, I'm taking myself off of Heather. I started Heather 3 weeks after having my son, prescribed by my doctor. I started bleeding out of nowhere and already experienced childbirth bleeding. At 3 weeks postpartum, I saw my first period. I started birth control the following week and saw my cycle after the 4th pill. That was twice in 1 month. That did it for me. I was down 30 lbs before starting birth control. Since I've started, my weight is the same, it has not changed, and I work out. Good luck!"

Norethindrone for Birth Control "I am not allowed to take a combo pill because I have migraines. I started Micronor, and it has been terrible. I get my period every two weeks, my breasts are extremely sore all of the time, and I'm constantly spotting. I am also irritable, moody, and have cramps all of the time. Before I started it, my period was always on time...predictable to the hour it started. I don't think it's worth bleeding constantly and being irritable and depressed...so I have stopped. Back to condoms it is."

Norethindrone for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Started this medication 4 months ago as a trial/alternative to hysterectomy. Thus far, I have experienced bleeding more than not. (Great way to spend summer!) The abdominal pain and never knowing when you will start to bleed out is awful!! Can't wait to meet with the doctor next month and get off of this drug :("
