For Endometriosis "Nuvaring user aged 19-22, tried again at 29. In 2016, I began having pelvic pain, turned out to be a ruptured cyst. In 2019 and 2020, I underwent testing for endometriosis. In 2021, I had a triple-surgeon operation for endo and was put on Norlyda to keep hormones in balance, at the age of 34. I noticed tiredness with the first packet. I am about to finish my third pack, and my skin itches horribly every day, my vision gets blurry, I'm sweating more, feeling depressed (and coping differently), and have gained 13 lbs!! These are listed side effects for Norlyda, unbeknownst to me. What's not listed is that my nipples look incredibly ugly now, my butt crack hair grows quickly, and I have more acne breakouts. BUT, I am living pain-free and with little effect on my pooping schedule. My periods are sporadic, usually shorter with darker blood. My whole body changed using this birth control. :( Sorry if TMI, but I think it's important to share, and I hope I helped someone with my experience."

For Birth Control "I take Norlyda to manage my PCOS because I can't take the estrogen combo pill since it is risky as I have issues with blood pressure. Since I naturally get irregular periods because of my PCOS and this pill doesn’t have estrogen, my periods are still irregular, but in my 6ish months of taking it, my periods have only ever been light bleeding for 3-5 days. My ob-gyn says this is normal, and some people don’t even get their periods on it, so I guess it’s nice in that respect. I just wish that I was able to know when I would get my periods like I was on the combo pill. I haven’t really had any side effects, and the combo pill I was taking before gave me migraines and made me super emotional/depressed, whereas Norlyda doesn’t, so no complaints about that. I could see how for people who normally get their periods routinely, this pill might mess with that, making them frustrated, but I’m used to irregular periods, so it’s no issue."

For Birth Control "The side effects in terms of depression, anxiety, and weight gain are the worst. I gained almost 30 pounds in a year and cried every single day while taking this. Once I stopped, it slowly helped with the depression, but my anxiety stuck around, and it is 20 times harder to lose weight. My doctor recommended this brand because of my migraines, and I definitely don’t recommend it to anyone who has signs of depression or anxiety. It may make it worsen a lot more."

For Birth Control "On the one hand, this worked as an effective birth control and even regulated my irregular period. On Norlyda, I had a normal menstrual cycle and no complications with my migraines. On the other hand, this gave me the worst side effects I have ever experienced. I was depressed, anxious, and had frequent nightmares. All of this stopped once I got off the pill. I can't take any more of this, with these kinds of side effects, I needed to switch. I literally could not sleep while taking this. I will be looking for another option."

For Birth Control "I am not one to review birth control, but I do not recommend this brand. I understand everyone reacts differently to birth control, but this was the worst experience I have ever had with a brand. I am 20 years old. I started Norlyda in January of 2022, assuming it would be 'less hormonal' than my previous brands. I bled almost every day in February and March. I was the most anxious I have ever been after one month into it. Crazy negative thoughts, dizziness, anxiety, paranoia. One week after getting off this brand and starting Junel Fe, I feel like myself again. Dizziness and depression are gone, anxious thoughts are gone. Back on a regular cycle. I am so happy I stopped taking Norlyda."
