For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "This is the most awful birth control pill I’ve ever taken in my entire life, and I’ve tried several. I took it exactly on time every day for one week. Starting with day 3, I had a constant headache, nausea, acne, pain in my legs, generalized pain in my body (back, joints, etc.). By day 5 I was bleeding a little, then by day 7 I was bleeding a LOT - like if someone just drew blood straight from my arm and dumped it in the toilet. It wasn’t even like normal period blood, it was so bright red and thin. And on top of the other symptoms, I was dizzy and had cramping, too. It also gave me intense hot flashes and a slight fever, I was sweating practically all the time, and I would wake up several times a night. AWFUL! I would absolutely never recommend this pill to anyone. If I could give it negative stars, I would."

For Endometriosis "Ok, almost 3 months into taking Nora-Be, and I'm back with an update... So, I had breakthrough bleeding the first 2 months, but it slowly went away. You have to make sure to take the pill at the exact same time every day. I've lost weight, typically, looking at BC makes me gain weight. All the pain and bleeding I had for years with endo is gone. I haven't been taking the week 4 pills and jumping to a new pack, but I just read somewhere that pop doesn't have placebo pills, so the 4th week is also hormone? I'm not 100% on that yet. Ok, back to side effects... No more acne, but skin feels dry. I'm dry everywhere, unfortunately. Small price to pay for a pain-free, cyst-free existence. No headaches, no nausea, no more breakthrough bleeding. Will update in another month..."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "49 years old, got on this medication to regulate insanely heavy periods. At 7 weeks, I have not yet had a period - yay! However, in the last two weeks, I began developing lower abdominal pain and cramping on the right side. At times, there is a great deal of pressure, causing an urgency to urinate. Very distracting and uncomfortable and has me using the bathroom every hour. My doctor said to try to stick it out, but I am getting off of this medication due to these side effects. I read online that progesterone can cause changes and functioning to the GI tract like mine. I also have some nausea and heartburn with this medication, so I don't think it is for me. I also noticed my hair falling out at about week 5. Everybody is different, but I think I will try a more natural approach to lightening my periods. Good luck, everybody!"

For Birth Control "I had been on the combined oral pill for many years and had tried many different kinds. I have experienced every kind of mood swing possible, severe cramping and abdominal pain, headaches, nausea, heartburn, moodiness, and had severe irritability, and uncontrollable bursts of tears before and during my period! As well as a decrease in libido. I felt out of control! I went to the doctor, she told me I was experiencing PMDD, which is much worse than PMS. She put me on Nora-Be since it only has a synthetic progesterone and no synthetic estrogen (which apparently increases all of the craziness). Only taken for a short time, but better already! I have more control of my emotions, and my libido is back in overdrive! Breasts are tender though."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I’ve been on this pill for 2 months now because I couldn’t take the combined pill anymore due to elevated blood pressure. I absolutely hate this pill and am switching to the implant next week. I am on my period all the time (like 3 weeks out of 4) and get terrible cramping constantly. I also get nauseous and feel like I am losing hair. For me, this pill is just not working."

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for 4 months. On the plus side, I've had no period since I started. However, I feel nauseous every morning and sometimes during the afternoons. The worst are the night sweats. I take the pill at 9 pm and am awakened every night at 1 am, extremely hot and sticky."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Well, ever since I was 13, my periods were not normal, they would last for more than a week. I would get horrible side effects, such as nausea, cravings, cramps, you name it. I got extremely tired of it, and I was prescribed Nora-Be. It's been good to me. I started it while on my period, I only bled for two days! Not even bad! It was a small spot and done. I felt so relieved!!! I noticed no weight gain, and I felt great. I get no side effects from it, but if I do, which is rare, it's breast pain. I recommend this, but of course, everyone's body is different!!! P.S. I've been on it for ages."

For Birth Control "I've tried the patch, the shot, Ortho Cyclen Lo, and now currently on Nora-Be. I gained 30 lbs while being on the shot and couldn't lose the weight until I tried Ortho Cyclen, which gave me extreme nausea, so I wasn't able to keep any food down, which caused me to lose the weight, so yay, but it was awful at the same time. I dropped down to 110 lbs after stopping Ortho Tricyclen Lo, and now while being on Nora-Be, I only have gained 5 pounds, but that's from the holidays. Very satisfied with this product that I'm taking it for the second year."

For Birth Control "Took this for the better part of 10 years as I can't take estrogen (19-29) and had zero major issues. I got my period consistently every month except one. Had some of the more mild side effects, like moodiness and nausea around my period. I still ovulated almost every month. I do think there are some other side effects I may notice as I'm coming off of it now to try to get pregnant, but nothing has been severe enough to interfere with my quality of life or comfort."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "First of all, everyone will have their own unique experience with birth control. My experience with this BC was pretty good. When I first started taking it, I felt a little dizzy and nauseous for about a week. I began taking this BC to treat heavy periods. It definitely reduced my bleeding, as needed. It also cleared up my acne and leveled my mood. What I didn’t like was the unpredictability of my cycle. Sometimes I would go 3 months with no period, sometimes I would have 26-day cycles. Sometimes I would go a month or two feeling great. Sometimes I would have PMS symptoms (mostly bloating, tender breasts, and some cramping) for months. Knowing this BC is not as effective for preventing pregnancy, several times I felt like I might be pregnant, and I stressed about it a lot. After 2.5 years of taking this BC, I decided I wanted something that makes my cycle more predictable and more effective. I’m now taking a low-dose conventional BC, and I feel so much better."

For Birth Control "By far the worst birth control I have ever taken! I'm 33 years old and have tried several brands and never reacted as horribly as I did on Nora-Be! It made me suffer from terrible migraines, bad stomach aches, mood swings, nausea, some dizziness, and all on a daily basis. The worst part of it was the humongous cystic acne it caused all over my face. Unfortunately, it was the only b.c. I could consume since I was breastfeeding, but after 4 months, I just had to put an end to my misery and discontinue it. Especially after the bad stomach aches that caused bloody stool. What the heck?! This pill should be illegal."

For Amenorrhea "So let's just start with the fact I'm trans (FTM) and that I was on another medication right before this. Went to my doctor to switch medication to stop horrible mood swings, headaches, nausea, etc. The Nora-Be was prescribed and started a period 15 days after my original December one. It's now day 7 of this period (mine used to be 3-5 days, mind that) and it's just rubbish. I was told it'd thin out my lining so then I don't have a period EVER again, but now I don't believe them and I'm gonna email my doctor about it because she said it WOULDN'T do what it's currently doing to me. She even said because it'd stop the periods, I'd stop feeling so much dysphoria around my gender... haha, that's a lie."

For Birth Control "I'm on the minipill and have never had any issues. My insurance switched me to this one, and right away, I've experienced nearly all the side effects! I am trying to switch to a different minipill now to stop all the side effects and feel normal again! What I've experienced: breakthrough heavy bleeding the second week of pills, no period during the last week of pills, nausea, headaches, weight gain, acne, cramping, and just an overall feeling of not feeling well."

For Birth Control "While this pill did prevent pregnancy, it hurt everything else. I started taking this around 6 weeks after having my daughter. I was prescribed this pill because I was pumping breast milk. All postpartum bleeding had stopped. Then I took this for the first time and had extreme cramps similar to contractions. I then had heavy bleeding for almost 3 months. Along with that bleeding came cramps, nausea, migraines, and fatigue. After the bleeding stopped, I never got another period. It was to the point that I thought I may have been pregnant because it also caused tender breasts, nausea, and fatigue. It also gave me a lot of acne, which is something I never had an issue with before. I stopped taking this pill today and am already experiencing heavy bleeding and awful cramps. While I know birth control works differently for everyone, I strongly recommend making sure this is right for you before you start taking it."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Nora-Be now for 2 years, and it’s worked good, but it gave me most of the side effects: blurred vision, breast pain, changes in menstrual period, chills, dark urine, decreased vision, diarrhea, difficulty with swallowing, discouragement, dizziness, double vision, feeling sad or empty, general tiredness and weakness, headache, heavy non-menstrual vaginal bleeding, hives, light vaginal bleeding between regular menstrual periods, loss of interest or pleasure, migraine headache, nausea, and vomiting. It really makes me feel sad all the time, even in the happiest times, I can’t feel happy anymore."

For Birth Control "I'm a 16-year-old girl who uses birth control for maintaining clear skin due to acne, nausea in the morning, and a heavy flow. I've tried many different kinds of pills, and this one was by far the worst. I typically don't have too much acne (about 3 pimples per month, if that). However, when I started this pill, I broke out all over my face. I have NEVER had this much acne before. I just picked up a new birth control today, so hopefully when I start using this one, the remaining acne on my face will go away. It's ridiculous."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "47, given to thin uterine lining. Can't take it, gives me all-day migraines, nausea, and vomiting. :( Medroxyprogesterone worked better for me because I didn't have the debilitating effects."
