For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I started taking Jencycla to help with heavy bleeding. My cycles were the opposite of what they should be... so instead of having my period for a week and not bleeding for three weeks... I was bleeding three weeks and not having my period for a week! I did have minor headaches when I started this. My pharmacist told me it would take at least 3 months to see any results, so to keep taking it. The first two months were the same old thing, but then last month was my third month, and I went 17 days without any bleeding!! And this month has now been 22 days without any bleeding. Knock on wood, I think it is working for me. So don't give up after a month or two, give it time to get in your system!"

"This pill had changed my life! After suffering for nearly three years with unbelievable childbirth-level pain with each cycle and taking a ridiculous amount of Advil each month, I decided to try this pill. The first month had some unpredictable light bleeding, and I would have a light headache each evening (not too bad at all). After that, the headaches went away, and when I get my period, it's very, very light with very, very mild cramping, and sometimes I don't get a period at all. For me, this is a major life change. No more crazy pain, no more destroying my body with pain meds. I've been on it for over 4 months now. I take this pill in the evening at EXACTLY the same time. I can't tell you how happy I am to have found it. I no longer spend hours online trying to find something that will help with my adeno and endo pain. I hope it works for you too!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I am truly satisfied with this birth control. I am being treated for PCOS. I couldn’t tolerate any other birth controls due to very bad headaches and nausea/throwing up. Taking this so far has been great, it doesn’t interfere with my daily activities."

For Birth Control "I took this birth control because I have a history of blood clots. At first, I used the Nexplanon implant, and that made me break out and gain weight. Jencycla was prescribed to me a month ago, and it is the worst BC I have ever been on. I am 33 and felt like I was going through menopause. It has given me the worst headaches, sore breasts, and I am super moody. I found myself more irritable and anxious while taking it. I have been on BC since I was 12 (for acne at first), so I have tried quite a few since then, and I cannot believe how bad this one affected me."

For Birth Control "I see that this pill didn't work for a lot of people, but don't get discouraged if your doctor prescribes it to you! I was on the combined pill for a year and was absolutely miserable. I started Jencycla a year and a half ago, and it has been an absolute joy! I got a few headaches in the beginning three months, which is very unusual for me, but also not debilitating, just annoying. It has completely stopped my periods, and I have endometriosis, with very heavy bleeding and immense pain, so this was SUCH A RELIEF. Haven't had a period in a year and a half, best year and a half of my LIFE. I read that it only does that for about 30-40% of people though. I'm also super forgetful but put them in my wallet so that they're with me anywhere I go, and an alarm every day helps me remember taking them. If you have trouble with combined pills but still want oral birth control, this might be it! It also might not, but don't worry, trust your body!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Started Jencycla to see if it would help with heavy periods. I’m 43 years old, and iron is low. Used it for 2 months, hoping it would decrease the monthly flow. Didn’t notice any change...still very heavy periods, lasting 7-8 days. Initial side effects: headache, cramping, irritability, and fluid retention...all went away except the extra fluid after a few days of use. I stopped the pill because it wasn’t helping and didn’t like the fluid retention."

For Birth Control "My gynecologist gave me this to prevent pregnancy, and I’m still a virgin. She told me I might get blood clots and depression, but not many other side effects. Well, just now I got a sudden headache, and the first two days I’ve taken it, I’ve been very depressed, dizzy, and sleepy-never been this bad. I’m going to stay on it for as long as I can, but if I feel any worse, I’m just going to say maybe sex isn’t worth it. I also got on these to combat my PMDD, but I don’t think it’s helping me with anything yet."

For Birth Control "I started taking this Jencycla medication 6 weeks postpartum, and I think it really contributed to my postpartum depression and anxiety. Hair breakage has been a huge issue for me, but it wasn’t until I got my period back at 9 months postpartum with spotting in between that I started doing research and realized it could be the pill causing all of this. Moodiness has been terrible, but I also have had fatigue and frequent headaches. I have been on this for months, and I am stopping it."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this birth control for over a year now, and here’s my experience. I had switched over from my old birth control, which was a combination pill, but got off that because of major headaches. The first 6 months on this pill were not bad at all. No headaches, I felt normal, but the only downside was that I felt very emotionless, I still do at times. I find I became very nonchalant towards a lot of things, and I do believe it is from the birth control. The first 6 months, I had a very irregular cycle and still do. My period would come for about 7 days, then it would be gone for 2 months, and so on. After being on it for a bit over 6 months, my cycle started to become more irregular. I had no period for about 3 months, and then suddenly I got my period, and that period lasted a total of 15 days. The last few days were spotting, but still, the bleeding didn’t completely stop after day 15. Since then, I get very irregular bleeding and spotting out of nowhere. I do bleed sometimes after sex."
