For Birth Control "I have been on Jencycla for 4 months, and I'm about to throw it away. My periods have been all over the place. The first month was a normal period, the second month was very light, then I have had some sort of period (bleeding or spotting) about every 2 weeks. It's so unpredictable. My sex drive is ZERO!!!! I have always lost a lot of hair, but I lose so much hair since being on this. My skin has always been normal, but now it's so oily. I feel like I've had a huge zit somewhere on my face for four months. I feel like I've gained weight, but the scale has stayed the same. I always feel bloated. It did help with cramps and breast tenderness, though. I think I’m just going to go back to the pull-out method."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was given this birth control for PCOS after my previous pill (Diane 35) caused blood clots to form in my body. The only side effect I had is extreme boob tenderness and tightness that went away after a couple of weeks, though my nipples still feel sore. If I miss even one pill or am late more than an hour, I get a period. I didn't have a period for a whole year, and even on Diane 35 I wasn't getting much, but boy did Jencycla turn that around!"

For Birth Control "I took this birth control because I have a history of blood clots. At first, I used the Nexplanon implant, and that made me break out and gain weight. Jencycla was prescribed to me a month ago, and it is the worst BC I have ever been on. I am 33 and felt like I was going through menopause. It has given me the worst headaches, sore breasts, and I am super moody. I found myself more irritable and anxious while taking it. I have been on BC since I was 12 (for acne at first), so I have tried quite a few since then, and I cannot believe how bad this one affected me."

"I have adenomyosis (the cousin of endometriosis) and was put on this in order to try to manage my pelvic pain. Not only did it not help my pelvic pain, but it made my breasts incredibly sore. I'm not talking a little breast tenderness, I am talking about my breasts and nipples being so sore I cannot tolerate my partner touching them, and wearing a bra is torture. These may work great for birth control, but they do nothing for pain management."

For Birth Control "I've been on Jencycla for 4 months now, and I am having a positive experience with it overall. My body had to adjust to it in the first month, but after that, it's been great. I have the Factor V Leiden mutation, which affects blood clotting, so I needed to take a non-estrogen pill. In the first month: 1. I became more prone to acne and had a major breakout. 2. My period was 3 days instead of 6. After that first month: 1. My acne cleared; I also started paying more attention to my skincare, so I have no idea if the acne cleared because my body adjusted to the pill or if it was the skincare routine or both. 2. My period is back to 6 days. 3. I now have little to no PMS/PMDD symptoms; this is wonderful. I used to get so depressed, irritable, moody, bloated, extreme hunger, and sore boobs before my period, but now at the most, I might just be more sensitive and a little sad. And still no sign of pregnancy! I would recommend this; please note everyone reacts differently."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Jencycla for 2 months in combination with an estrogen patch as a treatment for perimenopause. I have only had 1 light period since starting it. However, my breasts hurt and itch constantly, and I have gained 15 lbs. I will be talking to my doctor about the weight gain at my next appointment."

For Birth Control "I'd been taking the combo pill for about 16 years, and a doctor finally told me they won't give me them anymore because of the migraines I was getting. She recommended I try this one. The first 2 months were rough - breast pain, random bleeding, MAJOR BRAIN FOG. I see that confusion is a symptom on the side effects list. That's fine, but I feel like a different person. I can't focus, have a hard time remembering, can't find the words, and struggle to explain things. Has anyone else had these brain fog symptoms?"
